Their shipping company is incompetent, has a computer answering text, never is staffed for consumer issues and packages don’t get delivered. Apparently @columbiasportwear never heard of UPS or FedEx.
Quality clothes and useless service
Hi. I don't know how to return my order because I still can't get it. Your courier didn't deliver it to my home, but left it at some strange store that closes at 2:00 PM or earlier, and I can't pick it up! Please help me figure out what to do!!!

10 days and still not delivered. I rang customer service and they told me that it has not even been shipped yet, and I won’t receive it in time before I go somewhere cold where I need the coat. Don’t order if you want to receive your item for a while!
Liars and unreliable
I have ordered a Jacket about 200 Euros on 28th of November and they claimed 2-3 working days for shipping, today it is 11th of December and it is yet not shipped. The customer Service claims they have no information about shipping dates and they literally tell you nothing else. As a frequent online shopper, this is by far the worst possible company I have ever dealt with. Stay away and go for other brands which are much better.
Don't buy! Too many shipping issues
I had bought 2 jackets from Columbia ahead of Black Friday. Those shipped quickly and arrived on Cyber Monday. On Cyber Monday there was an additional 15% off. I contacted customer service to price match. They told me they can't price match, but I can return the jackets and rebuy them. I successfully returned the jackets. I re-bought the jackets on Dec 1, supposedly it has shipped, but the carrier doesn't show receiving. Now they are telling me I have to wait 13 business days after the order for them to start an investigation. So no jackets for weeks. This is ridiculous! Their customer service just says the same script and is completely unhelpful. I wish I had bought from a better company on Cyber Monday, even if it cost a little more I would have gotten the product within a reasonable time frame.

Black Friday is apparently to blame.
Whenever I call Columbia’s customer service line, they tell me they have no update. Their so-called company policy means they don’t communicate with the logistics warehouse, so they have no idea when my order will be fulfilled. It seems everyone else with this issue is getting the same scripted answer.
Delays happen, but the complete lack of any customer-focused approach is astonishing. No idea when it will ship, no ability to refund, and no update beyond a vague “we don’t know.”
I hope you read these reviews before you place an order. Go with North Face. They actually deliver.

I will not buy anything from Columbia if you are expecting it to be delivered before Christmas. Terrible shipping and customer services. Ordered items during black Friday. Standard shipping says 4-5 business days. It’s been 10, no information on the order I placed. Called customer services, confirmed order not shipped, but cannot say when it will ship. Major sports brand with cheap service!

One email saying we are sorry your order might not make it on time and that’s it, terrible customer service, not sure how such a big brand can justify such a shocking service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They'll take your money, then claim the courier lost the package, promise a refund but keep your money. Call customer service all you like but it's a total waste of time, they just fob you off. I have given up hoping they'll ever issue the refund.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience ordering from Columbia's website. My order was supposed to arrive within the 3 to 4 business day window, yet it has now been over a week, and the order status still claims it is "on schedule," which it clearly is not. This delay is especially frustrating because I have an upcoming hiking trip and specifically ordered these clothes to take with me.
To make matters worse, customer service has been completely unhelpful. After reaching out for support, I received no real answers, no solutions, and absolutely no sense of urgency. It felt like I was talking to a wall.
Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing online shopping experiences I have had. Avoid ordering from this website at all costs.

I bought a pullover on 01.12, and it was said to be delivered in maximum 4 working days. Its been already 6 working days and I didn't even receive the tracking code. Ordered some products during their black friday promo on 30/11. It is the 9/12, and the items have not been shipped. I emailed about 4 days after the purchase. I got an email saying there was a delay and there was no updated shipping date.
I emailed back asking to please cancel the order, then, as I was going away for the holidays, there would be no one in. Had I known there would be a delay, I would have placed the order, thinking 2 weeks would surely be enough time.
I got no response from them. So I called today, and I was met with, honestly, the most pointless helpline ever.
I asked to cancel. They said they couldn't. I said, but the goods have not shipped, and still, I could not cancel. I asked when the goods would ship. They couldn't tell me. I asked to complain. They said I would have to go through the website. Was no help at all.
I go to their website to find the complaint section, only to find there is no complaint section, and even on their contact form, there is no option to make a complaint.
I ordered these goods for a trip that won't arrive before I go. I am now worried the goods will be stolen once they are left outside my front door, as all courier drivers do this, even when asked not to. I do not have a secondary address to divert the goods.
I work in e-commerce. I know it does not take this long for good to ship unless out of stock.
Don't bother ordering from them, you might not get your goods. I am just happy I didn't drop £300 on a ski jacket.

Misleading shipping times. Estimated 4-5 business days, but then after you've paid you see that the despatch time is 4-5 days after ordering. Then you're expected to wait another 4-5 business days for it to be delivered. Ordered 8 days ago and still not despatched.
Spoke to them on the phone. They can't tell me when my order will be despatched, and they won't let me cancel.
I decided to initiate a chargeback with my bank but the transaction doesn't actually show up in my account. It seems they may not actually take payment until the item is ready to despatch??
Anyhoo, because they haven't taken payment yet I've cancelled my bank card, good luck getting any money out of me!

I can only rate the convertible pant that zips off to wear as shorts. I have been buying these pants for at least 10 years because I spend a lot of time in Asia which is a warm climate. They are light to travel with and dry quickly. THE NEGATIVE !! Columbia now produces a Very Low Quality product. Much better quality when made in Vietnam. Definitely less quality when they started manufacturing in Bangladesh to maybe save $2 on a pair that retails for $70. A few years ago I was not aware of the change and ordered 3 new pair in different colors because after a few years the bottoms do not match the top from fading and their guarantee I’d for 1 year only. They were all marked the same size but all different waistlines and lengths. I kept one of the 3. That one is my only one that is fraying along the upper belt line around the pants. Still ok with me because I do not tuck in but shows a lack of quality. Now, today in a Columbia Outlet store I bought a new pair for $40. That should be their retail price. These are very low quality compared to a few years ago. The frabic looks and feels much cheaper than a few years ago and inside of the belt line they eliminated the interior fabric that strengthened the inside of where the belt passes on the outside. Also, on both sides of the pant leg the inseam and the outside seam that top to bottom hem before used to be overlap double stitching and now is a single stitch. Really a very cheep way to make a pant leg. Columbia saved maybe $2 or $3 with making a much cheaper pant but still is trying to sell a very low quality pant made in Bangladesh for $70. A Complete Rip Off. I do not know if all their products are now extremely low quality compared to years ago but definitely the convertible pants are. This is 100% true and I have about 6 pair of pants that I compared their quality of today to from a few years ago. Terrible that Columbia’s quality of their convertible pants went from 10 to 1.5 in the last 10 years.

Placed a large order, and delivery due date has now passed which is impacting us. Phoned their customer service who were unable to tell me when I will receive my order, acknowledging it was delayed but being non-informative otherwise (and seemingly not that bothered). Tried raising a complaint and was told to fill online form, of which none of the mandatory categories relate to complaint, so even that is hard to do! Decided to leave a review on here to let others know what to expect if you order from this company .

Ordered boots on the 1st of December for a trip on the 10th. It is now the 6th of December and they still have not shipped the product. I will return immediately on delivery. This is a big company and should be able to manage dispatch with 5 days. They say that this is a busy period, if so why not get some temporary staff. Will never order from them again

Ordered a jacket that was mid priced on their website. Jacket arrived, looked super thin and cheaply made. Decided to wear it anyway; and hour went by of wearing it, it snagged on something while shopping, nicked the cheap material and now I have a new coat with a lovely hole in the arm. If Columbia cant ship out right away they should not advertise 2 to 3 day shipping. I complain but they woudl not budge and refund my money. Sorry is not helpful. This company is too big to screw the average ame4rican grandma over trying to buy her grandson a winter coat.
