I buy and wear a lot of Columbia…

I buy and wear a lot of Columbia sportswear but I want to tell them that while I love their no show socks and others I do not like the packaging! It is very difficult to get those little ties off and not snag the brand new sock! Also the zippers that are made to go up or down make it more difficult to zip in general. And one good water resistant coat that I bought keeps me warm and dry but the pocket with the soft warm lining has a zipper that is rough on my wrist and the cold pocket has no zipper which I think is backwards and not well thought out.

Appalling 'service' and terrible product

I've had a pair of Columbia hiking boots that my mum bought in America years ago and never wore. She gave them to me and I've worn them to death. They never once leaked and were so comfy. I was reluctant to give them up as mum has since passed and I was very attached to them. When it came to having to replace them, I ordered a new pair last month as close as I could get to the originals. They took a while to come and I've worn them four times. The last time was on some wet grass and when I got home my socks were wet. The boots are supposed to be waterproof. I've contacted Columbia and they told me because it was over thirty days since I ordered them I couldn't have my money back. It took at least ten days for them to arrive anyway! I've had to buy an emergency pair of boots locally as I live in the country and need the boots to walk my dog. I explained politely that I need to return them for a refund as they are not fit for purpose or as described, not being waterproof. They absolutely refuse to refund me. They've offered a voucher so I went back and, once again, politely explained that I need the money back, not a voucher as the items are faulty and I need the money back to cover the pair I've been forced to buy elsewhere. The reply I (finally) got was obnoxious and very rude. Totally unnecessary. Again, there was a refusal to refund. I am absolutely disgusted with the 'service' (even calling it that is a misnomer) and clearly the excellent reputation for their products is now no longer valid. DO NOT waste your money. Buy local. The new boots I got (a different make) I bought at a local Trekkit shop and they give two years warranty on them. What a difference. Really annoyed I bothered with this company at all. I have now got my bank involved in an attempt to recover my money from these scoundrels.

Blamed UPS for no delivery

Ordered a fleece - like so many here never showed up and they blamed their carrier UPS. Almost a month later they are waiting for them to do an investigation. Refused to send a new fleece, refused to offer a refund. So awful - email and phone both a dead end. Utterly diabolical

In April I had concluded spending in…

In April I had concluded spending in total $791.38 in shoes and jackets and other articles of clothing for myself and my family. I accrued $97.50 in rewards points that I was ready to use today. Unfortunately the policy regarding redeeming points meant that if I don’t spend my money with this company within 6 month’s time then I don’t deserve to have my points when they normally stay in my account for a total of 12 months. I called to see if I could please know what happened to the points and was told they were removed because my account was inactive after 6 months since my last purchase. I had been on the website shopping a few times since then and was ready to make a purchase today. There was no reason for the points to disappear since I was active in my account with Columbia.com. I reached out additionally over text message with the company and was told the same thing and maybe if it was within 72 hours of the points being removed something could have been done. This is a gaslighting technique on their end where I feel I have been called a liar when I feel I have been lied to. I will not spend any more of my money with this company and I look forward to the time when I will not be wearing any of Columbia’s clothing and in addition I will express my dissatisfaction to anyone complimenting or asking about the articles of clothing I had purchased and worn. I am 100% dissatisfied with the way the company handled this situation and my own hard earned money will never go towards this company whatsoever. I am absolutely disgusted and I wish I had never decided to spend in total $791.38 with this corrupt company

I purchased a jacket with a lifetime…

I purchased a jacket with a lifetime warranty years ago. I paid to have it shipped for repair. I was told it was not repairable and received a $43 credit to purchase a new one. So today I went online to purchase a new rain jacket. The least expensive one was $50. Ok I don't mind paying a few dollars more however they then added $9 for shipping after I had to pay $12 to ship my old one. Lifetime warranty obviously means nothing to Columbia. I am extremely disappointed with Columbia

No complaints here

Bought a cropped beige puffer jacket for 130€. Came 1 day early and i live very remote! I didn’t get any emails the whole time, which made me nervous, but the jacket arrived right on my doorstep in amazing condition :) Looks just like the picture, size guide was right, looks expensive. I didn’t read any reviews before buying so i’m surprised with the low rating. My experience was wonderful and i don’t mind the higher price, because the service was so good. A return label sticker arrived also with the package just in case.

Refuses to replace stolen package after proof of being stolen

I bought a coat a couple weeks ago because it looked perfect for my son and could last a couple years. I was at my daughters drs appt for her shots while the coat had gotten delivered. By the time I got home, it was no longer there and Columbia is refusing to replace it. Had me wait over a week for an "investigation" after I told them it was stolen just for their conclusion to be, they do not replace stolen items. As a single mom of 2 this is extremely disappointing. They said the best they can do is give me 20% off of a new coat but I spent so much money on a coat and never received it. I can not afford to buy a whole new coat when I purchased this one. I buy from Columbia all the time and never had an issue and the one time an issue arise they refuse to replace it. Beyond lack of sympathy, I will never buy from them again.

Very disappointing!

I got the most frustrating experience with this company. It’s my first time to order online with them. I ordered 2 pieces one Winter Jacket and one Fleece Jacket. When the order arrived I only received the winter jacket, I called their hotline immediately yet they claimed that they sent the two items and there’s nothing they can do about it. That easily, my hard earned money used to purchase their product was gone!

Avoid this place like the plague

Avoid this place like the plague. Ordered on 9/06, but the package was never delivered (est 9/11). When I reached out to customer support, they said I have to wait until 9/21 for them to look into it. Absolutely ridiculous. Then at that point, they said that they’d conduct an investigation and keep me updated. No updates, received an email that my case was closed. Inquired about that and my dissatisfaction. No luck, of course. Now it’s almost a month later and still waiting on UPS to finish their own investigation which can take up to 2 weeks. This is absolutely ridiculous. They won’t even give any sort of comp or refund for this huge inconvenience. You’d think they’d at least have good customer service for the prices they charge for their items.

Worst brand customer service

Worst brand customer service. They couldn’t change the size of my order that i submitted 2hours before i call them to change the size of my order. The pictures on the website are so misleading and not helpful at all. I won’t buy a thing from them ever!

Terrible Return Experience with Columbia

Columbia is working with UPS. For returns, you need to print the label yourselves. I have done that. However, the label was ripped off from the box & the return ended up being delivered back to me despite on UPS showing on its way. Columbia refused to help. Only suggestion is they offered is to send another label for me to print. I explained I do not have access to a printer and I have driven to a place to print it & paid for it. I was not volunteering to do it again when I have already done it. It is not my fault that they are working with customer printed return label which is not durable. They kept refusing to help and it is company policy and I need to follow it. It was such a bizarre and frustrating experience. I can see why their score is 1.4 star. They kept repeating the same sentence without any solutions apart from me obeying to their rules and being the one compansating for this.

They told me that they will send me an email with the solution. It did not happen. I rang them again and it was the same person luckily. However, after hearing my voice she put me on hold. I had to call again connecting to someone else. Still waiting for a solution but I guess they just ignore you until you come to their terms. What a horrible customer service policy. Please do not order from Columbia website.

Sizing issues

Sizing issues. Normally a size 10 hiker. LL Bean, Keen, etc. all true to size. Columbia is very narrow and 1/2 a size smaller. Return/exchange policy is very user unfriendly, customer service is rude and snarky, and it’s impossible to exchange an item. Sorry Columbia, you have lost a 35 year customer.

The worst customer service I have ever…

The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a company. Order two sizes of a jacket so needed to return one. Turns out the only option to do this is to print off the return label they send to you digitally at home. Sounds straightforward, but I don't own a printer, or anyone who owns one and there are no printing resources in my area. I contacted customer service by email which I have still received no reply to, so I called instead to see if there was any way they could help. There wasn't. Eventually got hold of someone to help print it off, while running out of time to return the parcel. Then, when I went to post it at the required location, the parcel wouldn't scan! I now have to keep an expensive item that I can't use because Columbia have made it so difficult to return it. For anyone ordering from this company, please bear in mind that you will likely have to keep whatever it is you order.

Columbia Sportswear

Columbia Sportswear: Elite outdoor gear, shipped with the speed and care of a blindfolded sloth on vacation.

Let me paint the picture:
I placed an order on August 3rd. Two weeks later — no package, no updates, no clue where it is. The tracking page? Still blank. Might as well be a screensaver. After reaching out, I was told to wait 13 magical days, as if my t-shirt was hiking the Appalachian Trail on foot.

So I waited. Like an idiot.

Now that we’re past that absurd waiting period, Columbia’s latest solution? They’ve “escalated the issue to their Missing Package Investigation Team.” Oooooh. Sounds impressive, right? Probably a bunch of interns with clipboards and broken GPS units.

Their email says I might get responses “from more than one person” — I guess the mystery is just too big for a single person to handle. It's giving CSI: Lost in Logistics.

Here’s what I really ordered:

A masterclass in corporate stalling

And a front-row seat to the worst order fulfillment process I’ve experienced in years

It’s amazing how a company can make such solid products and still run an e-commerce operation that feels like it’s being held together with duct tape and denial. At this point, I’d have better luck ordering from a stranded raccoon with a Shopify account.

Columbia, if you're reading this:
Stop investigating and start refunding. You lost the package. Own it.

One star. Only because zero isn't an option.

Stay well away from this company!

I have been trying to organise a return for two weeks. The collection was supposedly organised twice, but nobody turned up. I have since emailed and called customer service and have not had a response. I have just tried to look at my order details, and my order has been removed. My details are not recognised, the order number, my address, nothing is recognised. The company is scamming people out of money, and I wish I had read the reviews before I decided to purchase from the company!

UNSATISFACTORY RESOLUTION

I orded a hat and it was sent to the wrong address. Called customer service and was told nothing they could do to successfully resolve the issue. No replacement or refund. I will never do business with company again. Lost money for nothing in return. WORST EXPERIENCE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!

Unreliable Sizing

Well inally received the 2 SMALL sized shirts I ordered from Colombia Sportswear and they are HUGE! They are so large that I could fit two of me into one of them. Before buying these TENTS I used Colombias so called sizing tool. After inputting my chest size, waste, hieght and age the thing came back with a size SMALL - aka, tents for a family of four!!!!!
After reading Colombia Sportswear reveiws (sometyhing I should have done BEFORE I bought anything) it seems pointless in trying to return the shirts as they apparently don't like giving money back OR replacing problematic items.

$96 for two shirts that should have fit me like every other size small shirt does, but no - not even close.
Bottom line, don't trust this companies sizing, in fact, IF you want to do business with this mob - go into a store and do not buy over the internet.

Garbage service, Garbage company, Ruined birthday.

The worst delivery. I had a time crunch to order a jacket for my wifes birthday. Ordered a yellow XS jacket with plans to embroider it. I received a purple XXL jacket. They refused to provide the correct size and color as it was not on sale anymore and forced me to return it in order to receive my money back. This was absolutely garbage.
