Plenty of snake oil, no useful outcome

I was very careful to explain my timeline to the sales folks, they assured me there was plenty of time. I spent the first day back and fourth with the third party they contract to do the work, a company called Sectigo. After the process was complete, I was told there is a 'second review' and that step takes about a day. It has been four days now, and I keep getting the exact same lies, 'it is in second review, it will be issued today' for three days.
The least trustworthy company I have dealt with in some time

"Josh" called to try and sell me on a product I've already tried.....and hated. This is a lousy product and business that must only kept alive by aggressive and basically unethical, probably illegal sales practice.

Don't give them any information, even your name....they will just use it call back and ask for you or pretend they know you. I picture a room with 100 "sales reps" calling 100's of "leads" they purchased trying to scam their latest victim

Comodo Dragon browser

I used this browser a couple of weeks. Nice browser based on Google Chrome. I abandoned it due to one issue. Every once in a while, usually a couple times a day, a tab would pop up saying my Chrome browser (yes, Chrome) was an older version and I should update it. Say what?? I went to the Comodo user forum and left a query about that. No one from Comodo ever responded. I uninstalled the browser. Too bad because I liked the browser.

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with.

After 10+ emails and working with a Notary 3 times to validate my documents they kept coming up with one reason after another to deny my certificate. At the end Comodo even asked me to update their own document they provided me...

The whole time I was working with Comodo I felt like they got enjoyment in telling people what to do only to come up with another reason to deny the validation process.

We started reselling comodo client… (updated)

Update: May 28 2019

Sandy Shady from Comodo returned my calls. She was very polite and professional. She listened and apologized for what were not her mistakes. She refunded the 3 unauthorized charges that should be returned in around 5 to 7 days. Hopefully this works out fine as we like the product. At this moment we are still working on deciding what to do next.

======================
We started reselling comodo client security that now moved to itarian (partnership) and everything is falling apart. They have been auto-renewing packages of 20 licenses without our request or permission.
We've been contacting them for a month and received no replies. We used the portal and emailed several email addresses given to us, placed calls. No luck. Nobody returns calls or knows anything. Left messages, no luck. After this our only option is hire an attorney and fight comodo, of course they lose a client and many many others because of their lack of honesty and support. Must say that I'm very disappointed and will only support my clients till their licenses expire. After will move all to another solution. Please, be aware! You risk it you lose it! COMODO is not a company to be trusted!
I've notified them about their email servers mis-configurations... of course no replies! Most of the secure email servers won't receive emails from them! They don't care or don't have good enough techs for a simple task! AGAIN! BEWARE!

Misleading info on website

I am an individual with a code signing certificate from Comodo. The verification process needed to obtain this certificate was harrowing; but I understand the need and went through it. Ugh.. bad memories.
Now, a year later, my certificate is about to expire, as was pointed out by an email reminder from Comodo. I looked up the procedure on their website and read that No New Verification Is Required if there are no changes. In my case there are no changes, so I paid the renewal money. Within a minute, problems were notified and a chat aid called Shawn insisted that verification has to be done because 'that is the process'. And that was that; there was no changing 'the process'. One of the worst services and most misleading info I have ever come across. I requested a refund and will find another way to publish my software.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. They are the most incompetent company I've ever dealt with. I purchased a Comodo EV SSL - I previously had a 1 year Comodo EV SSL which was going to expire so this new order was a renewal for the same company/website.

In their re-validation process they didn't even look up my correct business name that I supplied...the company name they said they looked up was not even similar to my actual business name. Since the random business name they looked up didn't exist, they couldn't verify my business but they never contacted me to even say this. After 3 weeks of waiting I contacted them.

They wasted so much of my trying to get to the bottom of what was taking so long to issue my certificate. Then when they granted my Comodo EV SSL certificate they issued it for my personal name, not my business. My business is NOT my personal name. The previous Comodo EV SSL certificate was my business name and I submitted the identical documents all of which clearly have my business name. I'm currently trying to get this fixed and they're extremely unhelpful, with zero common sense or attention to detail.

Will keep taking your money after you cancel.

I have used Comodo for a few years and when we cancelled my husbands account they kept taking money, claiming that we could only communicate with them via the original email account (which we no longer had, so would not action our request to cancel and took our money. This month I too have cancelled Comodo, emailed them and pm on fb ... no response. I told them I was cancelling and not to take the money from money account, they ignored this and took the money, but also after I 'supposedly' uninstalled the app they 're-installed' it and set it up for another 1094 days!
Luckily I have Knowhow cover and they managed to delete it off my laptop, no way would I have been able to do it as they said they left hidden files to make it difficult for me to uninstall fully.
Rang the bank who reversed the money as I had proof that I had tried to cancel and it was ignored. New bank card coming as it was a re-ocurring payment which means they have my card details and could try to take the money out again.

Do Not Use

Do not use, ever. Having had responsibility for getting code signing certs for several companies I went against my instincts (use what I know) and used Google to find the cheapest. I don't think our 3 year cert is ever going to get validated as I'm stuck in an endless loop of ever more ridiculous validation requirements. There is absolutely no way their support staff have even a basic understanding of English which makes doing something technical like this frustrating beyond belief. Honestly the experience with the 3 big cert issuers may cost a little more but the process is smooth and well defined.

I imagine getting our money back from these jokers is going to be just as frustrating unless I reverse payment at the bank.

Edit - Another 24 hours, another cookie cutter response, with no mention of our refund. Unless you are US based and happy to pay for one of their approved "partners" to list you don't even think about it.

If I could give them 0 I will give it.

If I could give them 0 I will give it.

I lost a day verifying ssl for a customer. Never could do it, because they are advertising their own company partners, in this case the stupid verification service they use is dnb.com. Use absolutely anyother ssl provider you will get less stress. The time I lost with comodo is equivalent to $250 so do your numbers. Do not go with them.

Stay well away

Stay well away. I've waited well over a week for a ticket to be responded to (and still nothing). Chat support is equally useless. I've contacted my bank to get the payment back.

Seems like a business in complete disarray.

Horrible, all the time the same issue

It's not the first time I have issues with Comodo - every single time I have to issue EV certificate, it's a hassle to actually get them verify our identity. Last example: I have scheduled the callback with them for a specific time, since our CEO has limited time and I had to run the process through him. I contacted them on chat 2 hours prior to the scheduled time, they confirmed that they will call on the specific time we agreed. No one called. CEO was waiting. I wrote them 20 min after they suppose to call - I got answer from the chat 30 min after telling me that they will call within an hour - I mean seriously do you guys think CEO's don't have anything else to do than sit at the reception close to the phone?! The service is ridiculous!! So right now my site is not secured, since it took too long to process the request. Congratulation Comodo for making yourself look like fools.

Absolutely Unacceptable.

I installed Comodo’s free antivirus for Macintosh. When installed, it immediately reported an error with the scanner. Ran the diagnostics, and it found errors, but couldn’t fix them. I tried to uninstall, and it failed, I tried AppZapper. When I rebooted, the service STILL loaded! It had baked itself into OS X. I went the extreme route. Backed up my data, and wiped the disk.

Damn unacceptable. I won’t be getting any antivirus products from them again, free or paid.
