Company Shop is all about saving. It’s about saving serious money on branded groceries. And it’s about saving perfectly good food from going to waste. We help our members get more for their money and save big on the brands they love all while stopping good stuff from going to waste, making shopping with us good for budgets, good for bargain hunters and good for the environment too. Buy anything at Company Shop and you’re saving it from being thrown away. And, yes, that includes your favourite Victoria Sponge. That’s because most of what we sell are “surplus” products. “Surplus” is stuff that supermarkets and manufacturers are unable to sell or that they no longer have space for. Until we came along, these perfectly good products would often go to waste. But thanks to our surplus supermarkets and savvy members they now make it on to dinner tables and into people’s homes. So, as you tuck into anything from crisps to casserole, get the good feeling that comes from knowing you’re not only saving money you’re helping save our planet too. We are a Surplus Supermarket where our members can save big on the brands they love and stop good stuff from going to waste. Company Shop. Where value never felt so good.

Darlington Company Shop experience.
The team at Darlington Company Shop are all eager and willing to help. The goods on offer are many and mostly what a family would buy one any given week. The shop is also clean and tidy. My criticisms are that a lot of items don't have prices on them, forcing you to seek out the eager and willing staff to give a price. In the main (just) most prices are cheaper than the supermarket but there are a plethora of items that are a lot more expensive than the likes of Farmfoods and Herons. Still a solid 8 out of 10 though.
Everything there was totally amazing…
ST HELENS BRANCH.Everything there was totally amazing prices. All set out fantastic and very helpful staff.
I HAVE 2 NEGATIVES ONLY.
(1) The bread the day after went hard
(2) Because most customers are elderly we need a customers toilet. I was desperate and had to pee outside on the carpark

went last week got some great bargains and filled my freezer again, it is such a good idea to sell it cheap rather than send it to land fill especially when times are hard for many families at this moment in time well done guys
Nice for a visit - savings arent like they used to be
I was a member many years ago when Corby was the main one, probably around 2015/2016. I enjoyed going even though it was a good drive as there were loads of bargains. Random items changing regularly, VERY cheap prices. For example tinned thing for 10p/15p now they are routinely £1 or so - things havent increased 10 fold in 10 years. Skip forward a decade and a half - Ive been once or twice to the Leicester one. They had advertised a grated cheese bag - my friend was going so i went too, we both wanted some cheese. We got there early not long after it opened - and there were a group of 5 people, clearly together who pretty much wiped the shelves of the cheese. Its supposed to be a max of 6 per person, so they just all go in together and pay separately then lump everything into one Van. Same people pretty much did the same with the chicken nuggets. There are nowadays a few cheap items, they seem to be when theyve had them a few days or they are on the 'best before' date. There are a few nice priced frozen items too. Overall, the prices arent that much cheaper than Aldi or Lidl for the same sort of thing. Its worth a visit now and again if Im passing, but i dont think Id make a special journey. Having said that, the chap on the desk was very good, I hadnt been to the shop for years and I didnt have my card, lost it years ago, Id also changed address - but he was able to immedialy pull up my details and print me off another plastic membership card which was very efficient.
Great place
The Company Shop isn't that close to me, so I tend to go once a month. Choices of individual items isn't huge as you would expect with it being a surplus shop, but the overall range of types of items is really good, and so are the prices. The staff are friendly, I always find some surprises, I stock up on staples, as well as treats, and enjoy the experience.
