Seems like a few others have also been hit by the sign up from Trainline promising £21 cashback on a ticket, never got that cashback and just got the £18 pound recurring monthly charge. This charge was not mentioned at all in the signup process and only in the smallest text hidden in the middle of the sign up email. Absolutely disgusting practices, not making it obvious that it is a subscription AND THE PRICE OF THE SUBSCRIPTION feels like it should be illegal

Maybe there just about legal. But the fact they took £18.00 off me with payment details on a parking app late one evening and have said I gave them all the information is dubious. A touch of a pop up maybe but filling in name and bank details, it never happened. They just took them from the parking app. Disgusting

I ordered via Complete Savings to a well known company. My order was for over £85. Goods arrived early. Very Pleased BUT not with Complete Savings.
On my account it is acknowledged I visited this company. Unfortunately you have not added the above to my account.
As I have said many times when Complete Savings works as it should it is excellent BUT when it "forgets" to add cashback it is such a hassle to get it added. You have been quite good lately BUT now we revert back once more. I have written but told to write after 5 working days. Checked account still missing, so now sent my second request.

I also accidentally signed up whilst buying a Trainline ticket thinking I was going to get a £20 cashback. I never got a cash back, just an £18 debit on my account. I've written to customer service, no reply yet. It's also put me off using Trainline.

I clicked on a Cash Back button when purchasing a train ticket online. I signed up using my email and they said they were going to send me £20 cash back so did an active card check. There was no agreement on a subscription to complete savings and definitely no agreement on paying! They charged the £20 onto my card!! Luckily my bank blocked the transaction but someone else might not be so lucky! Do Not sign up for Cash Back on anything!! Total scam

I've been using complete savings for years now and had loads of money back. You have to remember to make a monthly claim to get your £18 back but I just set a reminder towards the end of the month and if I haven't made a purchase to claim from, I buy something for a couple of quid from ebay. It's well worth it. And I have had to contact the helpline on several occasions and always found them excellent. Train tickets to birthday cards I always check complete savings first before buying anything. And they've got huge numbers of retailers that you'd actually use like eBay and airport parking. Claiming money is a click of a button and I've had £1295.78 back over the years which is the equivalent of a lot of boots, shoes and bottles of wine. It's free money as far as I'm concerned.

It is good to get the fee refunded each month simply by making a relevant purchase.

Awful to deal with. They try to put all the responsibility back on to the members. Never do what they say they will. Seemingly steal from you, unless you have kept receipts, even for food/groceries for months & "Customer Service" is 9 times out of 10 useless. If it didn't save me a lot more than other cashback sites I wouldn't bother.

It works but requires chasing them more often than not. Additionally, it does not track certain retailers automatically so you need to manually email receipts.

very fast bank transfer of £47 within 1-2 of request. Immediate validation of purchases made with information quickly updated on account page of website. In my experience, complete savings has never failed to offer an all round best service.

Complete Savings cancelled my membership and forfeited approximately £80 in cashback after claiming there were unspecified “discrepancies” in documents I supplied for its account-verification process.
They had asked me to provide identification, recent proof of address and a bank document confirming my account details. I supplied my driving licence, a dated electricity bill and a bank statement within the requested timeframe.
Despite this, they cancelled my account. Their first responses referred broadly to misuse, fraudulent activity, non-personal purchases and falsified documents. After I repeatedly asked them to identify the specific transaction or document at issue, they eventually said only that their review had found “discrepancies”. They refused to explain what those discrepancies were, citing “security reasons”, and declared the cancellation and forfeiture of my cashback final.
This was my first membership with Complete Savings. My purchases included a phone and an iron for my own personal use, and I have receipts and bank statements supporting them. I did not submit claims for anyone else, repeatedly join through free trials, or knowingly provide inaccurate or falsified documents.
I understand that companies need fraud-prevention checks. However, accusing a customer of conduct serious enough to cancel their membership and confiscate around £80, while refusing to identify even the document or transaction concerned, gives the customer no meaningful opportunity to explain or correct a possible error.
Based on my experience, Complete Savings relied on vague allegations, withheld my accrued cashback and refused to provide a specific explanation. I would not recommend the service. Read the low reviews carefully before joining.
Update: As their response shows, Complete Savings has still not addressed the central issue raised in my review.
They invited me to email them, even though I had already contacted them repeatedly. In their final private response, they said their decision to cancel my membership and forfeit my cashback was final, and that they would not provide further details about the alleged “discrepancies.”
I supplied the identification, proof of address and bank documentation they requested, and I am not aware of any inconsistency in those documents. I have asked them to identify which document or item of information is disputed so that I can understand and, if necessary, correct the issue. They have refused to do so.
Their public response therefore gives the impression that further assistance is available, but that has not been my experience. They have retained approximately £80 in cashback while giving me no meaningful opportunity to respond to the allegation.

It is still a top quality service easy. To use and money back at a time money is so tight .

Ive had 2 payments go through my bank of £18 each and I have no idea who they are. I have reported this fraud. No way I would have knowingly signed up for anything like this. I want my money back. This is a con, spam or fraud on a subscription I know nothing about.

WHAT A WEBSITE. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH CASH I HAVE SAVED OVER THE YEARS. IT MUST BE AT LEAST £3000. BEFORE I PURCHASE AN ITEM, I CHECK VIA COMPLETE AND OF COURSE, USE THEM IF THE SELLER IS LISTED.
WELL DONE COMPLETE SAVINGS

Using complete saving becomes my favourite website to visit especially when I go travel. It help me to save lots of expenses. Love it xx

It’s a scam. Be careful, everyone. A subscription pop‑up appears on your phone, and everything happens quickly — it seems like you’re automatically signed up and then charged a monthly fee £18.

I clicked on a pop up and after £18 was taken from my account i found that by clicking on the pop up i had joined. The statement below taken from a reply on this web site is rubbish.
“Hello there, thank you for letting us address your concerns. For clarity, our programme is offered to eligible customers after completing a qualifying purchase with one of our partner retailers. Registration requires completing a sign-up form and actively confirming membership details before enrolment is finalised.”
I received none of this certainly no confirmation of membership and nothing was ever received to suggest i had enrolled or how to receive any benefits.
This should be closed down.

Absolutely shocking! They prey on people not being internet savvy. There are popups on purchases which have nothing to do with this company. They are a a third party. Apparently I clicked on something to look at a cashback scheme. Little did I know that that one click was a sign up, not a 'let me take a look at what they are offering'. £18 they took from me and I can't seem to get it back. It's shocking. They're schemers and scammers!!
