Everything was great interacting with them was easy enough through email and when there was a problem and I visited the physical location I was able to get everything sorted

Opening the fixed rate account was stressful and took around 2 months to receive confirmation of acceptance. During this time I was repeatedly told that it was due to the high number of applications but as a customer you begin to think it is some other reason such as fraud by someone on your credit score. I have to say that whilst the application seemed ridiculous the customer service staff were always professional and tried to help out where they could. I am relieved that the process is over and the account is open.

I approached Conister off the street for a substantial personal loan, having experienced - not for the first time - the "computer says no" attitude of the high street banks.
It was immediately apparent that this bank is different. Their officer was actually listening to what I was saying, and not merely gathering data to feed into some obscure algorithm on its way to a distant decision process which might report back in a week or so. He explained that their decision-makers were local - hence their adaptability and indeed speed of response.
Conister took into account my particular circumstances, and a positive decision, followed rapidly by the resources requested, was forthcoming in 24 hours.
The entire process was in total contrast to the usual patronising banking experience: it was courteous, positive, perceptive and rapid. All those other banks which have retreated into corporate anonymity could learn a great deal from Conister.
