DO NOT RENT FROM CONREX. Terrible massive corporate entity buying up all the single family households. Random charges for no reason after supposedly being taken care of months prior. Lack of maintenance, anytime you need customer service, they will just push you off to another department and never resolve your issue. Companies like this should be outlawed. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS SCUMMY COMPANY. Their name is literally CONrex and oh how fitting it is. Nothing but issues with this company. The fact that they took down their google review page should tell you all you need to know

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS! It is like their customer service are trained to lie and scam you. They want an arm and leg for deposit and non refundable pet fees when the homes are not livable or move in ready. The pictures they have posted on their listing does not match what the homes look like inside/outside. Carpets are filthy, old, smell like cat urine, and peeling from every corner and they’ll try and make you pay for it when it was already there before move in. The walls, floors, windows, doors and baseboards are dirty and the wall paint doesn’t match and they’ll steal your security deposit to cover for damages that were already there. They want you to follow and abide by the lease and when you do they still find an excuse to con more money out of you. If you think about renting from them get a good lawyer first or be prepared to take pictures and take them to court. Everyone from this company should be sued for not abiding by their lease agreement and state law rental. People should be disgusted to be working for a company that steals from people. Make sure you delete your CLICKPAY account or turn off autopay or they will take out more then what they’re authorized monthly and refuse to give it back. If you dispute the charges with your bank because they it was an unauthorized charge they will charge you a late fee because they feel entitled to YOUR money. File a dispute with the whatever state they have a rental property with and have them blacklisted. Most states require you to have a property manager in that state to manage your home and Conrex doesn’t, they go through third parties and take the lowest bidder so they don’t have to spend a lot of money. They don’t have any local property managers because all their employees work from home. 10/10 Do not recommend this company!

The Conrex experience = slow walking EVERY maintenance request in hopes we tenants get frustrated and give up + having a convoluted online maintenance form that does not work the majority of the time seemingly by deliberate design (trick is to accept terms and conditions at the bottom of the screen BEFORE filling out anything else, or chance to click that required check box disappears and that entire form you’ve filled out will not submit) + when repairs are actually made, maintenance people are always astounded by the low quality and cheapness of the components Conrex has apparently used.

Our pipes burst over New Year’s Eve when we were stranded by airline shenanigans. Plumbers informed us Conrex uses the cheapest possible pipes in this house less than 20 years old, and Conrex houses were half their calls over NYE. I was further informed that by the time Conrex chose these pipes, nobody else was using this material anymore due to how easily it splinters. That’s Cornex’s commitment to saving a few bucks at the expense of their customers!

From Jan 1-Jan 5th, we had NO WATER. We were literally without any water for four days because Conrex dragged its feet ensuring basic habitability for the premesis.

Fearing black mold, I’ve been trying ever since to get Conrex to clean under the floorboards.

It’s July. They’ve still done nothing!

Around March, they sent a guy who verified that we still had 99% water saturation under our floorboard going into hot weather. Yay, I love being poisoned by my air!

And Conrex loves poisoning me, clearly, bc they sent the wrong follow up maintenance guy— someone who deals w floor situations AFTER someone else has cleaned up the water and mold.

Not before, after. That’s this guy’s job and he’s the repairman they’ve sent. They sent the wrong repairman!

And then they went radio silent. For months. Each time, assuring us of communication. Each time…

Nothing.

Worse, I want to open upstairs windows to air out the house so I can know we’re not being poisoned by the air. Three are missing screens, one just won’t stay open. I call Conrex to get those put in place, at least, because we live in a humid, bug ridden climate where screen-less windows don’t work

No go!

They say the missing screens are part of the “as-is” aspect of the rental agreement. Forgive us for not noticing a few specific screens oddly missing when surveying an entire house upon move in

These people are slum lords and when I see how many homes they’ve managed to buy up around America, I feel such utter fury to think of how many families could’ve bought and lovingly maintained those properties instead.

Thanks, Conrex, for buying up so many properties, we didn’t have many options besides you in our area + playing a MASSIVE part in making housing unaffordable to first time home buyers! I am so thrilled that hedge fund backed ventures like yours are buying up homes everywhere so we can all get boxed out of home ownership and enjoy the Wall Street slum lord experience!

CONREX is a very professional management organization for home renters. I am relocating my family to south Carolina Charleston area and I was approached by CONREX for a rental property and brand new built. New home I was shocked at the quality of service and hands-on I got from the management team, very professional and my house is beautiful. Thank you CONREX for your service and helping me find a home for my family.

Do not rent from this company. They are charlatans and will try to charge you on move out for all basic wear-and-tear or basic upkeep.
If you are in the process of renting from them secure a lawyer NOW. It is the only language they understand.

PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM and if you do KEEP ALL DOCUMENTATION. Make sure you have everything documented in email. They are nothing but a scam. The property itself was OK but moving out was a NIGHTMARE. We terminated our lease early. I emailed them and called within the proper time yet they tried to charge me an extra 500 bucks for saying I never told them. They also lie constantly during the move out process. They tried to steal some of the security deposit saying we did damage to the property that was already there when we moved in and I had documented it on the move in paperwork. Also, make sure to remove your name from Simple Bills yourself because they also lied and said they'd do that for us too. Yet I got charged for their utilities after I was already gone. I understand every rental company is the same, they all suck, but please please please keep ALL documentation from them and if you call, make sure you email your point of contact too. It was the only way I was able to catch them in their lies and get refunded what they tried to steal.

If you are looking for a place under no circumstance should you use this company. They will lie to you and cheat you at every turn, they tell you to use certain ways to pay and then when there are any issues on their end they say its not affiliated with us and is your problem and then charge excessive fees for the problems they have caused. Then if there are any maintaining issues they will ignore your reports and just clear tickets without ever actually coming to property and helping or resolving any issues. Calling in will either result in rude unhelpful and condescending employees, that do nothing to actually help or do anything to show any sort of empathy or understanding. All around a terrible company that everyone should avoid using and hopefully they will cease to exist soon.

Moved out of a Conrex property this year. Spent a whole month cleaning and patching and repairing. Left the property in great condition. Not only did Conrex keep my security deposit, but they charged an additional $1500 in "damages" for cleaning and "repairs" (these range from having a lightbulb that burned out to having a smudge on the front door).
If you are renting from this company have a lawyer on speed dial. It's the only language they understand

I have been with Conrex for years. The first owners were amazing. i literally had no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend them at that point to anyone looking for move into a home. Every since they were brought by another company, everything has went down hill, and FAST! Maintenance takes forever to acknowledge any situation no matter the severity and that's if they even respond. Now they are requiring all tenants to us SimpleBill which should be illegal. You have to now use a third party to pay your utility bills. So you can no longer not see your actual bill from the utility company. i STRONGLY SUGGEST ANYONE LOOKING TO RENT A HOME TO NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. IT'S A NIGHTMARE.

These places suck, Conrex sucks, they won't let you do anything without maintenance. Takes a week to fix gas leaks. Holes in the walls and windows, bugs have free reign over me. I am held hostage by the lease. David Todd, CEO of Conrex, if you wanna duel I'm down. If I win, my lease ends early and you can still keep my security deposit. If I lose, my lease ends early but I'll still pay every month of rent under the lease.

If you are thinking about renting from Conrex please read this review. 100% honest review!!! This is the absolute WORST company we have ever rented from. From day 1, things began falling apart. Our carpet was FILTHY. I notified the manager who had someone come out, only to put water on our carpet. Raccoons in our attic. So many mice. Within the first month, we let them know about the problem and was told that it was our problem. The main concern was how terrible things were put together in our home. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Things will start falling apart within months of you staying in the home!! This was the WORST experience we have ever had while renting. Very greedy and money hungry. Our rent kept increasing as the place fell apart. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!! If I could attach proofs of my pictures from when I first moved in and conversations with the company I would. If you can find me on Fb and you would like proof feel free to find me!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!

My experience with Conrex has been nothing short of HELL. I have nothing good to say about this company. Maintenance comes and patch things up, literally spray painted over a water molding looking spot at the top of my ceiling, plumbing has been backed up, a waterline burst in the house from a unhooked refrigerator waterline that did not have an icemaker connected to it. Just went to my one year old son appointment and was told that he currently has lead in his blood. Will have to have the health department come out to the home to see how he contracted lead. One years old in 2023 and has lead in his BLOOD this is ridiculous. I received a late notice taped to my door and was told I had seven business days to pay my rent. I paid it on the seventh day had to call in and was told that it was a additional $600 because the eviction process has started! Mind you this is day seven and they have already tried to make me pay additional monies for eviction notice when I just told them today was day 7. I absolutely hate this company and advise anyone that reads this to please find another company this is definitely a slumlord company! All these companies do now is buy up homes in minority neighborhoods patch up work that needs to be totally remodeled and put these homes on the market at $500-$600 more than what the mortgage would be! Please please please try and buy your own home because these companies do not have your best interest in mind!

DO NOT RENT!!!!! I stay in a 3bd & 2bath. It’s the worst. I pay 1500 a month & they patch stuff up to make it look good. I wouldn’t recommend this company to no one. They add extra money on your rent & think you don’t be noticing it. I had to call about extra money added on my rent for no reason. Doors not fixed properly. I wish a thousand time I wouldn’t move here. It’s not worth the money. Garage door messed up. put in an order several times they came out & still not fixed properly.

If I could give them a zero I would they suck! They had us move into a house with a basement that would flood everytime and they knew it when it rains and send people out to patch but never send anyone out to really fix it there are other tricks they do to the houses you rent to cover up so they won't have to pay for it to get fix, do not move to any of their property and they have the nerves to charge high rent for crappy houses, they are sneaky and not trust worthy at all.

I agree with what everyone is saying. Scamming people for application fees because after that we never was told we had been approved. Once we found out, nothing but the run around. Customer Service Reps are helpful but property contact never responds to calls or texts or CSR contact per applicant. But she was quick to call back today to tell us our application had expired wasn't timely to tell us we had been approved or to any other call, text, or forwarded from CSR re: application.

Their customer service is pretty good. The property I rented looked good...until I actually moved in. 4452 Foley Road, Cincinnati, OH. The new electrical was not up to code. A leak tub caused a ceiling to cave in on me. Pipe leaks on electrical lines. Dead mice throughout the home. Mold in the basement. The house was not clean when I moved in. When I moved out, I was shocked at the 'damage' CONREX claimed I caused. Missing window frames and screens....I didnt even know the windows were supposed to have screens. Plaster on bathroom floor...from the damn ceiling caving in. stains on walls in living room...they could not provide a picture of this. Many items broke while I was there due to poor maintenance...a door knob pulled right off the door, a stair rail pulled right out of the wall when I used it, outlets were not secured and fell out of walls....conrex expects me to pay for all of these damages due to poor maintenance. The list goes on and on. They will nickel and dime you to death. Lesson learned here people.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY MAKE THINGS LOOK NICE WHEN VIEWING A PROPERTY. ONCE YOU RENT THE HOME YOU FIND SO MANY THINGS THAT WERE RUSHED TO PASS INSPECTION. WHEN YOU SUBMIT A WORK ORDER THE JOB IS HALF DONE AND NOT PROPERLY FIXED. THEN YOU SIBMIT ADDITIONAL ORDERS AND TAKES FOREVER FOR PROPER REPAIRS. THERE IS ONLY ONE REPAIR PERSON IN MY AREA FOR REPAIRS IS WHAT AGENT STATED NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO RENT FROM . THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR THEY ARE TRASH

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with this rental property so far . They were extremely helpful in the beginning. Super nice . The property was in real good shape when we moved in . So far we have had two small maintenance issues that was fixed extremely fast . This is a rental property so it won’t be in the most brilliant shape. But it was in really good shape . we really enjoy the home and neighborhood we are at . We will most definitely be renewing our lease unless we find our own home before then . But nothing but a good experience so far . I would recommend this property company.

ALSO THEY HAVE YOU PAYING YOUR GAS,WATER,AND SEWER WITH SIMPLE BILL BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY $15 IN ORDER TO PAY YOUR BILLS WITH SIMPLE BILLS AND ALL YOUR BILLS ARE IN THEIR NAME!!!!!
