No acknowledgement or refund for return
We have returned an expensive coat over 3 weeks ago (tracked at at our own cost of £14). The item arrived with consortium 2 weeks ago and there has been no acknowledgement of the return and no processing of the refund.

Bought some Redwings, they were half a size too big which I didn’t realise was a thing with Redwings, but there you go. Said they couldn’t do exchanges so I needed to send the boots back for a refund to repurchase.
I had to purchase my own return and organised an RM collection from my house cost around £10.
I haven’t received an email from them without prompt from myself since I posted on the 16th Feb (5th March Today) all tracked and delivered on the 17th/18th.
I appreciate you’re an independent store, and things might be busy, but ultimately nearly 3 weeks for a return just isn’t competitive, especially with a lack of updates along the way.

I ordered a pair of XT6 on 27 January…
I ordered a pair of XT6 on 27 January 2026 and received them with an obvious orange stain on the ankle. I reported the fault immediately and returned them on 6 February. Tracking confirms they were delivered back on 9 February.
Despite the item being faulty on arrival and returned promptly, I was told the return did not meet their conditions and that the item did not match their dispatch records??! which is completely incorrect. The shoes I returned were exactly the same pair that was sent to me.
I also had to chase for an update after receiving no communication, even though they had the return in their possession. This should have been a straightforward faulty return and refund, but instead it has been unnecessarily drawn out….. still waiting for a response and refund!!
Very disappointing service and poor handling of what should have been a simple resolution. I would absolutely not recommend based on this experience.

Danner boots
I was finding it a bit difficult to order my danner boots and offered to pay over the phone but was informed that you do not use that system ( a pity for old geezers like me ) however once I got it sussed the service was terrific my boots were posted and arrived within a couple of days cannot fault the service and helpful info .
