Convey law are excellent and we highly recommend. They respond to any email query promptly, often instantly, invariably within 20 minutes. They update you at every single stage and also several times a week. You can check everything that has happened on their online portal.
Our conveyancer, Jordan Hartley, and his team, were outstanding.
We had a large rural property with land on several titles. We were buying from people living abroad. Everything was a complex ordeal with unreasonable buyers, seller and other solicitors making changes even after exchange. Jordan dealt with it all with consummate professional expertise. This was my first time buying a property, and they made the experience incredibly frustrating. The first person handling our case (Lucy) was very unresponsive, and when she did reply, her messages were short and blunt. At one point, she even threatened to start charging extra because she had to deal with “more emails than usual,” which I found highly unprofessional. If her answers had been more detailed, clients wouldn’t be left confused and forced to ask follow‑up questions.

Midway through the process, Convey Law replaced Lucy with someone else. The pace of the work remained very slow, and it never felt like they cared about their clients. We were put in a terrible position where the buyer threatened to pull out multiple times. At one stage, we were at risk of being left without a home, and when we asked Convey Law to help push the process forward, they ignored us for days. Even the estate agent had to chase them for documents they claimed not to have received—only for us to later find out the documents were sitting in their post, untouched.

As a first‑time buyer, the process was completely new to me, and I wasn’t as knowledgeable as I hoped to be. We have now discovered that we were never offered a survey of the property. I assumed this was mandatory and would be arranged automatically. Two weeks after moving in, we experienced two separate leaks. One of them is quite serious and is costing us a fortune to fix.

I will never use this company again. It felt like dealing with an automated system rather than real people. They charged us double what they originally quoted, and the quality of their work did not justify the cost. I deeply regret choosing Convey Law—one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve never left a bad review before, which shows just how awful the experience was.

Good experience, only issue I had was some confusion over the funds I needed to pay however this was quickly sorted with the help of my mortgage advisor.
