so the product i went to purchase was whats called a clearance, or part exchange. it's a bit of a strange one, when it comes to car dealer ships. because there is no warranty, the onus to purchase is really on the customer. there were issues with the car and when i got home, after a very long drive, i found more issues, but this is how it works, if you are not buying from there main, warrantied stock. i still like the car i bought and the car dealer was kind enough to pick me up from the train station, as the dealership was a few miles out of town.
this particular dealership was massive. they obviously turn over lots of cars. would i buy from them again. yes i would. but i hope that i could afford a car from their warrantied stock. it is right and proper to expect that part exchange, or clearance cars, won't have the same kind of preparation standards. but, if i was running the dealership, i wouldn't care and still present any car i sold as proper stock. so, the car passed the mot, but the brakes were really rusty all around. i need to change them all. i would have done this and perhaps charged a little more. but that's just me. overall. a happy customer

Kim putting the phone down on me was the high point the rest was a disaster.
Edit in response to below, I was told the car was available to view for my mechanic then I received an email to call ahead to confirm. I rang 6 times, had the phone put down once, was left holding the line on another attempt and finally decided to ask for my deposit back - without ‘ranting or raving’. A garage that doesn’t take responsibility for its own actions is not a garage anyone should trust

Bought a vehicle from them mainly on trust as they state cars are fully HPI checked and inspected before sale, spotted an issue on test drive which they assured would be corrected before collection , it wasn’t but considered this may have been an oversight and to their credit they accepted they would sort the repair and asked me to arrange it through a local garage , I used ATS Euromaster to do 4 wheel alignment as I’d pointed out at test drive the car was pulling one direction and to have the air con regassed as it didn’t work, when it went in ATS pointed out the car in their opinion had been in accident many new parts had been fitted to the underside of car but the aircon pipes were damaged as was the inter cooler which was dented from what they deduced was an impact, they also pointed out the bonnet and bumper were slightly out of alignment again backing up their conclusion that repairs had been carried out none of this was disclosed at sale , I have requested to return car as it was clearly miss sold and that even after the wheel alignment being carried out still pulled to the left so I consider it unsafe , now nobody will answer email I’m promised a call back which 24 hours later had still not been received . Then I had to raise a complaint through the finance company of all the issues which they upheld and we a written agreement from the dealer where we allowed them the one attempt they were entitled to in an attempt to get the faults rectified, they collected the car and ten days later telephoned to say the car was fine having not complied with a single item that was in the written resolution I refused to take the car park and finally a full calendar month later managed to get my money back, was advised by the finance company not to sign the logbook back into trade until I had the finance companies approval to do so as they were joint owners and advised them of this left the dealer within five minutes they had signed the car back into trade before cleared funds were back in my account. In conclusion if this dealership told me it was sunny outside I’d put a coat on and take an umbrella to check, in this was untrustpilot I’d give them 6 stars but as trustpilot won’t allow me to give them none I’ve given them 1 and titled the review a cautionary tale. I’m not so green behind the ears to think things never go wrong but the sign of a good business is how they behave when they do, my experience with this dealership is the worst I’ve had in 38 years of car ownership and having bought many vehicles commercials and cars both new and second hand and would honestly not entertain buying a wheelbarrow from them in the future.

The staff were more than helpful, welcoming and answered any questions and helped best they could. Was not to pushy either when looking around.

Very polite and helpful apart from the part ex value of my car which changed when we went to collect our new car. Would much prefer to know the situation when we shook hands on the deal.

Positive experience of buying and part exchanging with Corner Park Garage. I appreciated the good communication and friendly, helpful staff. No ‘hard sell’ I have often found previously within the second hand car market.
