I cannot fault the care and commitment I had from Mr Sojitra, Jane Carden and his entire team both at the Spire and via the NHS. I had a consultation with Mr Sojitra after seeing a couple of other consultants about breast reconstruction after radiotherapy and due to the damage, my options were limited, and my current reconstruction at the time was not great. My Sojitra was my last hope, and he explained my procedure and the all the risks. Unfortunately, there were complications, and the reconstruction did not work, and I lost the implant as the skin could just not hold it in, however this was due to no fault at all of Mr Sojitra and his team. It was just one of those things that happened due to my damaged skin. I was mortified and gutted, and I cannot stress how supportive, helpful, and caring they all were with me during this time, and I felt like a resident of the Spire as I was there so much but it’s because they cared so much I had so many follow up visits. What can I say about Jane, she was amazing with me and went above and beyond.

Mr Sojitra then worked his magic with another procedure to reconstruct my breast again and I cannot thank him enough. I am now fully recovered and discharged after a Latissimus Dorsi flap breast reconstruction with implant procedure, however I must admit I miss my weekly (sometimes daily) visits there as it was like a family. I had such a level of trust and confidence in Mr Sojitra so I would not hesitate to highly recommend him. It’s certainly been one hell of a journey from my breast cancer diagnosis 3.5 years ago to finally getting a reconstruction I’m happy with and that’s worked and that’s all down to Mr Sojitra and his entire team, so thank you, Ali.

The team at The Spire Harpenden were fantastic, from the reception team, nursing staff and my lovely consultant Nilesh. All very professional, ensured my care throughout my operation, stay and follow up was exemplary. I had a mammaplasty reduction performed by Nilesh Sojitra and his team. He understood my need for a large reduction both physically and mentally and I felt he listened to my concerns pre-op. The end result is spectacular, beautiful shape, great size, scaring disappearing nicely. The aftercare team (Nurse Jane) and Nilesh were caring, knowledgeable with latest cures, explained everything and I am now almost 100% cured.

During the whole process I was well informed. The admin work was smooth and so was the operation.

The surgery was meticulously performed. The local anaesthetic, the wound and the stitches were minimal.

Very happy with everything.

I underwent a breast reduction in 2022 to help alleviate a list of medical symptoms, such as severe back pain, and to also be able to exercise properly again, which was no longer possible.
From the initial consultation to post surgery care, I cannot fault the care and professionalism I received from Dr Sojitra and his team. Dr Sojitra explained the procedure and potential complications in detail at the time of consultation and listened to what I hoped to achieve from the surgery whilst advising honestly on what was feasible.

The procedure resulted in a massive improvement in quality of life for me with issues such as back pain subsiding within days of the operation. I cannot thank Dr Sojitra, Jane and his team at Spire Harpenden enough. I had an overnight stay at the hospital and I felt that I was well informed and taken care of by all staff throughout my stay and was regularly checked on by the nurses who were all friendly and professional. Aftercare was also great and any concerns I had I was able to raise with Jane Carden with whom I had a number of follow up appointments. Dr Sojitra has really surpassed my expectations and I would recommend him and his team at Spire whole heartedly.

Cosmetic surgery is not something that I had ever consider before but as the years went on, I began to trust my body and knew something was wrong and something needed to change. After various appointments with the NHS who just shrugged me off - I was recommended Mr Sojitra who dealt with the general surgery aspect and the cosmetic surgery aspect. I needed both with a knowing hernia and a believed muscle repair issue. I walked away from our first appointment happy, informed and ready to do what was needed to get this done. Mr Sojitra was direct (which is what we all need), informative to what can and can’t be done and discussed expectations and details about the suggested procedure. To rectify the muscle repair and hernia repair, I would need a full abdominoplasty including liposuction to my flank area. It was booked. It was really happening!

Fast forward to my surgery day - the hospital team were great and looked after me incredibly well on my overnight stay after surgery. I wasn’t in pain and already loved what I saw through the binder I woke up in! My Sojitra came to see me and relaid my stats and what he actually did - turns out 1 hernia was 5!! After I went home, Mr Sojitra messaged and checked up on me for the following days, always answering questions and replied almost instantly if I messaged first. I never felt alone.

I’m now going on 9 weeks and have had 5 post op appointments to double check everything is going the right way. In all honesty, I can’t fault the surgery or the surgeon. My Sojitra has been a god send and would recommend him and his team at every term. I also need to shout out to Jane (head nursing team). She is absolutely brilliant, warm, welcoming and helpful at very visit. Carolyn also (Mr Sojrita’s PA), all of whom made me feel at ease, welcome and generally all ok about the procedure - before, during and after.

For the first time in forever - I now feel sexy. I have a flat tummy, don’t look pregnant and can’t quite believe the transformation. A ‘thank you’ isn’t quite enough to be honest but they all have really changed my life and increased my self love 10 fold! If anyone is on the fence - drop them a message. They are all absolutely brilliant!

I had a tummy tuck & liposuction on my flanks 3 months ago, performed by Mr Sojitra.
After 4 children & a caesarean section, my stomach was very flabby & it was affecting my confidence.

I have recently had surgery with Mr Sojitra (Mastopexy/ reduction with implants) I am beyond thrilled with the results which for me have been life changing.
I was a 32GG and my breasts had always been a problem for me with back and shoulder pain, huge indents in my shoulders and the annoyance of never being able to wear what I really wanted to because I was just to big busted. Then to add on top having 2 children they were most definitely not looking their finest and I had lost a lot of self confidence over the years.

I had a breast reduction with Dr Sojitra a few weeks ago. I count myself lucky I found this surgeon.

I’m 23, I’ve never had any type of procedure, not even at the dentist, let alone a surgery as big as this! I have a huge phobia of anything hospital/needle related and I can’t tell you how scared I was going forward with this surgery. Honestly it’s the best thing i’ve ever done and has changed my life in more ways than I ever could have imagined.

Everything from the consultation, the day of surgery, to my follow up appointments, Nilesh made me feel completely at ease (not an easy job) He’s a wonderful surgeon, who achieved exactly what I wanted and more.

He’s a complete genius, I’m over the moon with my results. I’m currently 2 weeks post op and already feel on top of the world. My breasts are already a beautiful, natural shape, the incisions are clean and tidy and healing really well.

Nilesh was kind, reassuring and honest. I wanted a small amount of reshaping to my hip and waist area, rather than lots of fat removal. I am now 5 weeks on from the procedure, and so happy and confident with the results. I’ve been well attended to pre and post op, Nilesh has been available for advice along the way.
