Rude staff + silly policies

Great prices, but honestly not worth how rude the staff has been with me on several occasions. On this latest trip, I didn't realize my partner had already scanned his card when we went to pay. The cashier was so condescending to me about how "non-members" aren't allowed to pay. Our membership is shared, so what difference does it make whose card gets scanned? Honestly, not worth the grief just trying to pay for groceries. I'll go somewhere that wants my money.

Unreliable customer service

I bought a bundle refrigerator and dishwasher last December. I called the customer service to return the fridge because it has a very loud fan noise. I said, I want to replaced it with different model and she said no problem. she did the return and she said she will place the order and just wait for the email confirmation. No email was received after a week, called them back and said no order was placed. I was so upset and disappointed. Prices went up. To cut the story short I ended up canceling all my purchased and my membership. Very unreliable COSTCO Canada customer service.

We should be able to give no star

We should be able to give no star. They don't deserve any of it. After 2 months, they still didn't give my money back. Was suppose to be done in 10 days. But that what scammers do. Hope more and more people don't trust them and stop ordering from them.

The first time I went into Costco a few…

The first time I went into Costco a few years ago said wow.
It is humongous great employees $1.50 for hot dog and a drink.
Used to buy all my clothing there food groceries fruit cereal everything.
Since covid started and even up to the past year they are like every other business.
Loblaws Sobeys metro Walmart all the big chains.
I live in a subsidized building I get long-term disability which is not even half of what I used to make when I worked.
I can't go in there unless I know there's something on sale that I need.
I used to love them but is there a two three times a week.
But they started price gouging and like myself and many many other Canadians we can't afford their prices.
And our government sits on their butts in those absolutely nothing.
It makes me sick and third generation Canadian.
Canada will never be the same it is very sad and it makes me very angry.

Borghese skin care...please come back!!!!!

What is very very sad for me and at least 6 women in my life over 60 is the loss of Borghese skin care products. We are talking about it still to this day in Jan 2026....so it has been a few years. A few of us had found some and sharing amongst us as if it was gold!!!! There has been NOTHING like it to replace this line to the quality that it was. So very sad. Costco...please consider bringing it back!

I would like to send kudos to the young…

I would like to send kudos to the young lady manning the hearing aid desk in prince George on Jan 5th. I wish I had her name. I have not been well, and find it difficult to stand and walk too much. She went above and beyond to solve my issue while zooming all over, so I didn’t have to. A very kind person, and Costco is lucky to have her working for them.

Harassing customers at cash register.

I went in with my parents and I’ve always used there membership with no problem. Well yesterday we were at the till this young woman who looked to be about a teenager was like I don’t think you can do that because my mom scanned her card and then I was gonna use my debit card to pay. She made a big fuss about it and called another worker over there to give me shit. All over some stupid membership it’s not like I walked out with 74 dollars stolen off of groceries now did I Costco? My parents apparently have been loyal customers to you for 30 years the lady at front scanning cards to get in told them so. Just so you know Costco you forever lost me as a customer because of your disrespectful shitty staff. My parents may have been loyal customers for over 30 years with probably spending about 6000 dollars every year to buy your groceries so your business keeps on running. Don’t support Costco in Saskatoon on 115 Marquis Dr. Also the girls name is Megan so don’t ever go to her as a cashier all she does it cause trouble and harass people. I’ve never had a issue tell now with Costco. I should have told that woman well you lost me as a customer and will no longer get my services and I will not be buying my groceries you should have lost money on me yesterday Costco because I won’t be returning ever again. I didn’t catch the other woman name who came up to me because I gave you no eye contact because I was feeling severely harassed and felt unsafe in the store. If your reading you know who you are and your horrible at customer service. Imagine getting that pressed over a membership.

I will never ever buy Costco kirkland…

I will never ever buy Costco kirkland Toilet tissue ever again. It used to be really great. However they changed their manufacturer. I checked on libe and seen they had said changed manufacturer. Now instead of soft,you now have ruff ,coarse really over thick tissue. Toilet and sewer line plugers. I came in usually to buy their nice soft tissue paper that kept your sewer system clear. Now with this ruff kirkland product I will never buy it again. So now what do I do with these package sitting in my washeroom storage space?? I am not sure of the correct date of purchase, but I do have the packages of proof.

Groupon and Costco using fine print scam

Groupon and Costco have made available a Groupon that offers a $40 gift card with the purchase of a $65 membership.

Embedded in the fine print is a restriction that states that if you have had a membership in the last 18 months, you are not eligible.

I went to Costco to redeem the Groupon and the service rep at Costco mentioned the fine print immediately when I said I had a Groupon. Basically she knew it was a scam. They of course tried to convince me to take the membership and forego the gift card.

I purchased it on Dec 7 and it expires Feb 15th. The following is stated on the Groupon.

"If you do not redeem your Groupon voucher by the promotional value expiration date, you will receive a refund equal to the amount you paid for your Groupon voucher."

I have asked for a refund and was only offered a Groupon credit refund.

We are now in scam territory.

Poor quality Costco Produce

I am a long time Costco member. A few days ago we bought Costco item 426192 packaged Broccoli at the Surrey BC warehouse. it went bad and uneatable within a very few days. This is the second time this has happened. Not wanting to go back to the store and stand in a long line to get a refund I called the warehouse and asked to speak to the produce manager. I was told they were not available and the only way to get a refund was to go back to the store. I tried to escalate my concerns and eventually they transferred me to a phone that rang repeatedly and then hung up.
I urge people not to be very wary about the packaged broccoli products.
I suggest Costco needs to improve its customer service for its members and improve they way they respond to issues like this.

UPS delivery service absolutely horrible

I love Costco we buy from them all the time but will never order online from Costco Canada or anybody that uses UPS for the delivery company again. First they put on our account that we wanted to pick it up. My husband called Costco and let them know that wasn't true. He would have gladly went and picked it up but couldn't get ahold of anybody so he could. They were over a week late. I got a call at 430 pm and said he was at the highway and could I come get it. I was in shock and was scared if I didnt go get it that we wouldnt get it at all. It was completely dark out and we live at least 10 min from the highway. I ended up driving there and meeting him at the side of the road. I had my husband on the phone the whole time as I felt this was completely unsafe. I opened up my trunk and he put it in and he wanted me to sign and I said no. I told him I have lived here for 13 years and had never been put in this type of position for a delivery before. It was so unprofessional and scary.I was so frustrated with this whole situation. Awful delivery service!!! We also had ordered something else from Costco and that delivery service was Metro and they were amazing. They were on time and delivered it right to our house.

Two items were ordered on December4th

Two items were ordered on December4th, 2025. One item has been delivered on December 8th, 2025. The other one even though is stocked at the same Costco warehouse, shipped on December 13th, after I called Customer Service.
UPS however claims that they have not received the item yet -December 15th, 2025.
Costco's excuse for the delay is "due to high volume", which is very poor and probably inaccurate.
Apparently Costco can not handle orders with multiple items. They can handle ony one item per order at a time.

Tire center - don’t waste your time

Tire repair appointment for 2:15. 3:45 truck goes in to the shop. If an honest estimate of an actual appointment time was provided, one could make an informed decision on whether or not to keep appointment or go to a real tire shop and pay for repair. Total wasted time on tires in the last month is 5 hours of my time plus 2 trips to make an appointment because no one answers the phone. Tires ordered Nov 5, arrived Nov 28. Total appointments made for promised delivery dates, 3. Total waste of my time.

Do not waste your money on an extended warranty!!!!!

We bought the extended warranty on a 65" Sony TV. It started acting up the first week of August 2025. We have had techs in our house three times. They've changed the motherboard twice. They've had the tv in the shop. They returned it to us. It happened to work temporarily and then started acting up the same day they dropped it off! We have sound and no video. It doesn't turn on, randomly. They say that they have a "No Lemon" rule and there needs to be 3 fails after fixing before they'll either give your money back or replace the tv. The problem? It takes over a month to get a new motherboard and then it takes them another few weeks to replace it and test it. We are on our 6th month without a TV!!!!! Company coming for Xmas and we have a black box in our living room!!!! Costco simply says there's nothing they can do and that we have to follow the process! Based on Costco's ranking here in Trustpilot, they obviously don't care! Do not buy the extended warranty. It's an extreme waste of time and the tech companies they have in place do not care how long it takes to fix it.

Costco delivery system is totally Broken

Same thing as always with Costco's delivery system. It is totally Broken and there is always numerous problems especially when getting items picked up. I am not in a town or city so that may be some of the problem here or maybe Not??
