Costco has become to expensive !

Costco has become to expensive, Why should I buy two 1 litre bottles of Ketchup for $15.50
When I can go to Walmart and pay $7.75 for one 1 litre bottle of Ketchup.
Plus I have to pay an annual $130 Costco membership ?
I’m not saving nothing. No thanks !

My first visit to this Costco Rexdale…

My first visit to this Costco Rexdale branch. I was told by the guys at the Costco tire (Downsview) that this is the latest branch to open in the GTA.

Although it looks smaller than Downview's but the guys at the Tire centre are truly awesome! What I couldn't get done at Downsview was made possible by Shaun, Zack & Kofi here! They should share their expertise with the other tire centre guys in the other Costco branches so the customers can have a way better experience!

A Big Shout Out to Shaun, Zack & Kofi for their efforts today...indeed it made my day! These guys are the best and Costco management needs to really take great care of these guys - in fact, they deserve to some incentive (free lunch, extra day off, monetary, greater peer recognition...or all of the above?) for the above & beyond they gave earlier today!

Keep up the awesome works, fellas! Thank you very much again.

Cat litter is awful now

What have they done to the cat litter? It used to be pretty decent but lately it is just horrible!
Two days worth of use and it's a brick! It clumps the whole box.
I asked a friend that also uses it if they have found the same issue and confirmed it has changed.
Anyone else notice this?

lets talk packaged bacon

lets talk packaged bacon. Not too long ago costco used clear plastic wrapping for their regular and low sodium bacon, and it was pretty good value and taste. A few years ago they changed to a full non visible wrap so you can't see the quality of the bacon you're purchasing....... red alert. The last few packages i purchased were literally 90% fat and 10% meat..... so bad that i threw most of it away. Caveat Emptor people ...... do not buy packaged bacon from costco unless you want to buy straight pork fat.

Grossly inefficient...

This is for the store located at:
12450 149 St, Edmonton, AB
This store is the model of inefficiency by a country mile.
Employees look demoralized, wandering aimlessly while sections of the store have NO product.
Lineups to checkup have reached close to the back of the store.
Forget about the food court as only one employee has a voice there!
This is 100% the fault of the absentee management!
This is just the tip of the iceberg...I could pen a novel!!!
They really need to clean up there act!

Ordered a telescope from Costco.ca

Ordered a telescope from Costco.ca, and it arrived in two days via UPS—no issues with ordering or returning in-store, which is convenient.

However, the free shipping isn’t really free since they bundle shipping/packing costs into the product price

Staff need better training

At the Nanaimo BC store, a cashier kept checking out items by removing the lane dividing bar. He got upset when reminded that's next customer's items.

Decided to get a membership

Decided to get a membership. Wanted the Gold star membership and the people at the desk trying to shove the more expensive membership down your throat was absolutely ridiculous. It completely ruined the cosco experience. I don't know how many times I had to say no. I had the other membership before and did not use my membership nearly enough for it to be worth it. When I say I don't want it 5 times and then you treat me like I'm stupid after for not wanting it. Like I said I had it before and it wasn't worth it to me personally I shouldnt even have to justify it.

Why the price of the milk has jumped…

Why the price of the milk has jumped from $5.49 to $6.39 since last week. Is this due to Trump's announcement?
Milk prices were already hiked so much after covid, we as a customer would like to know why the price has increased so much since Feb 2025.
We have been your customer for the last 25 to 30 years and now it is high time to know the reason behind the price increase on the milk.

There might be other items as well and will get back on them slowly and slowly once we observe that also.

Deceitful business practice

I ordered 8 boxes of Nitrile gloves from Costco's "Sameday" service but received 2 bottles of Magnesium Biglycinate instead because the gloves were out of stock. The email confirmation did not mention that there was only a 7-day window to report issues or request corrections. Additionally, I attempted to return the incorrect product to the Costco warehouse, but the manager at the Returns counter could not provide information about the return process or advise me on the next steps, other than stating I needed to deal with their system directly. These products also could not be returned or refunded through Costco, which feels deceitful since I did not order Magnesium Biglycinate. This practice seems like an attempt to force unwanted products on customers and keep their money dishonestly.

This store is prejudice

This store is prejudice, it is very not friendly to the new comming to Canada. They intentionally do not leave any place to leave a feedback, just to avoid the terrible service they give. You are not good enough for them, even though you are ok to any other store. They don't even bother to give you a bad attitude. I hope I will never buy at their store.

Return policy

I do not understand about costco's return policy. I have aproach to busness centre at egkinton and birchmont ave in scarbourgh. Just to learn that my account has too nuch return and thereford my account has negative comment and they are watching, about my purchase and returned items. If costco will not happy return items. It should stated "Return items, as soon as you are not satisfied. Return item only with ib 2 days of purchase. Dont try product, edibble items.
So custumers dont feel like delicuent or afraid to purchase items and not able to return them.
I got enought good bye costco.

Garbage Tire Center employees...Regent…

Garbage Tire Center employees...Regent avenue location -Winnipeg, Manitoba. Okay, so this part is from last summer but the first of a few reasons why I no longer have anything to do with Costco. And yeah, they're all guilty of being pathetic anyway. Took a tire in on a Wednesday, simple bead leak issue. Dropped it off, advised it would be ready "tomorrow and we'll give ya a call." Tomorrow came, no call. Decided to leave it 2 more days and then check to see what was going on. Instead of phoning them (because it's near impossible to get them on the phone and sure, they're busy in the whole store). So, 3 days and I drop by after work. Tires NOT even started because "ya know, we're busy......" Sure....but that's NOT what you advised on day 1. Useless employee (not a chauvinist here BUT it was a woman so take whatever you want from this), advised "well, you can always take it someplace else..." Decided to leave it with them, got home, changed my mind, phoned their number and left a voicemail message that they should NOT fix it and I'd pick it up tomorrow and do exactly what they had suggested, take it elsewhere." Also went online and sent a scathing email outlining this nonsense. Guess what, next day stopped in after work at end of day, tire fixed. Told them I wasn't paying for it and if they wanted to, they could remove it from the wheel or somehow try to "unfix" it. Yeah I know, it was fixed (finally), what am I complaining about? Poor communication, rude and dumb employee. Did get my "now fixed" tire but paid nothing. Then told them I won't be renewing in June no matter what. June has relevance since it's now January 2025. June 15th get an automated call advising that my membership has expired (yep, 6 months later) but they do value my loyalty as a customer. Hilarious since when I heard that this billion dollar company was raising membership 5 bucks, advised many that I'd rather pay more elsewhere for gas (for one thing) instead of giving these idiots more of my $. There's a principle here, "loyalty" is pretty much no longer rewarded with most any business but they hope you believe it is. Next up and it is what it is seeing as how it's Costco. Lots of items in large boxes, ie: (although I exaggerate) 500 granola bars for $100. WOW, whatta deal huh? Well, seeing as how most other grocers don't offer mega boxes of such a thing, how do I really compare them? Sure, price per bar BUT also, what a waste to have to buy so many just to save a few pennies. How long does it take to eat 500 and how fresh will they be in a few months? I get it, Costco was originally more for retail owners to buy in bulk and sell piecemeal to consumers. All the following is well known and I knew what it was when I got my membership but here it is anyway: long lines at gas bars because sure, you can save 10 cents or more, sometimes. No squeegees or windshield fluid "because it would hold up the lines" Uh-huh. I put my gas nozzle on lock and would have more than 2 minutes to wait so what's the problem? Cheap buggers. Crazy in-store: ask for your card when you walk in the door. Ask for your card IF you choose to use self-checkout. Finish up there, ask for your card, AGAIN! Slowly roll out of the store with your thousands of granola bars (lol), ask again for your card. Geez man, don't y'all have a boatload of surveillance cameras? And guess what, the second I finished up at self-checkout AND PAID and my payment WAS accepted, why is some clown asking for proof I paid? Weren't you standing there watching enough that you saw me finish up? Listen up, they're raking in billions 'cuz so many ARE suckers. No matter what my groceries or fuel will end up costing me, I will NEVER get another membership at Costco. P.S. Costco, it actually took you 6 months to remind me that my membership had ended? That's hilarious and more than enough proof that membership IS down no matter what you blather about to the media. Yep, go online, find out that like many other retailers you state things that aren't necessarily un-proveable until 6 months later. I do still get your crappy little flyer-books every so often but really, during Christmas and the Black Friday types of sales or sales after Christmas, places like Visions, Best Buy etc., truly blew your "sale prices" out the door. AND their hook or catch was that they offer extra warranty just for subscribing to their emails whereas Costco has that dump of a warranty company - Asurion. They're also jerks but yeah, Amazon offers them when you buy something that could have additional warranties. So, to summarize and the easiest, simplest one reason after the fact? 5 bucks more for everyone's membership but proof of your loss is the fact that lately you came up with an offer for example: grab the $120 membership, get $120 back when you spend $250 online. It's gonna get worse COSTCO! LOL

Saskatoon Costco North Location-Clothing Dept

Costco North in Saskatoon: The clothing ladies/gents are very helpful even if they don't know where the item is they find someone who will know. But one lady in particular "Colinda", definitely always goes out of her way to make sure you find the item you came for. I was in an exhaustingly long line up and she went and grabbed me some olives so I didn't lose my place in line. She was so nice and friendly. I also seen her a few minutes later helping an elderly man grab something because it was too far for him to walk (she happily went and grabbed the item for him) Just a wonderful person and joy to see when we are in Costco!

Cooked roast beefwould have preferred to give 0 stars.

I would have preferred to give 0 stars.
I bought a cooked roast beef seasoned with caramel that cost $28.50.
We tasted it and absolutely had to discard it.All we tasted was sodium.
If you closed your eyes , you wouldn't have known what you were eating. We were so disappointed. We have been members for some 25+ years and have never been so angry.
