Untrustworthy. Not Recommended. Stay Away!

Katrina and the rest of the people that run this company are no good. They are very ignorant. Don’t take your calls. Speak to you like crap when they do speak to you. Take your money from you and don’t let you know when you will ever get your money back. They are are rude and obnoxious. They are scamming people that are trying to rent caravans from them and also scamming the owners who are using their services. This company CANNOT be trusted. I do not recommend this company at all.

Haven or Hell

Haven or Hell!
Update on car crash holiday. Home after 2 nights. Couldn’t take any more!

Arrived at 1530 immediately reported caravan was smelly, hairs on toilet and in fridge, sour milk spilled in fridge, stained carpets, couches covered in stains and food crumbs. Table surfaces sticky but most concerning was the blood and sweat stained mattress we were expected to sleep on. Once reported cleaners were there very fast which was great. I went to reception and when I explained about the mattresses response was “f sake” I was promised mattresses would be sent promptly. They arrived at 2155. With 2 year olds who needed to sleep and me chasing numerous times. So that was our first night wasted as sat in waiting for mattresses. Morning 1 we woke up and had swimming booked. Enjoying swimming and I had balls of poo float past me. (I understand out of havens control) but they sent a young boy in with a net and did NOT close the pool to have it cleaned. So that meant we would not be returning to swimming. Kids disappointed. That evening went to kids disco to be told we were not allowed in as needed a pass. Nowhere on my app or in entertainment booklet is this highlighted. It states “no need to book subject to change” night two back to caravan kids disappointed AGAIN. Woke up early hours of the morning to my niece crying as she was soaked through. Mattress soaked through from leak in roof. Her clothes and £60 pillow soaked. We packed and sat waiting for reception to open at 9am. Manager we spoke to gave us a full refund. She advised she would email her contact details incase I needed them ( she has not done this) I have no idea and very little hope my refund has been processed. She advised she could not compensate for damaged clothes or pillow but would offer us discount on our next stay at haven! Which will be NEVER. Vile disgusting and people will get sick from the poo in pool not being cleaned properly

Terrible experience holiday from hell

I would score zero but need to leave review. Worst caravan park we have ever been to we booked Monday to Friday August 21. very dirty park, our caravan was also disgusting not cleaned before our visit. There were very old biscuits left in the kitchen out of date, i cleaned green snotts from the bathroom sink, toilet also had not been cleaned, caravan not hovered or swept inside we had to clean it ourselves. Back home and still waiting for contact we asked for someone to contact us about the state of caravan on arrival via the app. staff drove past lots of waste that blown from the bin area infront of our caravan took 2 days to be cleaned up, dog waste was all over the place, every activity we tried to book on our first day for the kids was fully booked the full week we were there, we were unable to book any activity they were only available to book after we left, had to queue for hours to do anything. Food in the restaurant was overpriced and very poor lots of the menu not available main meals and deserts, food was dry and crispy, desert was cold we sent it back charged well over £100 for food i would not feed my dog. Walking along outside the complex a massive smell of weed / drugs daily, a member of staff in the gift shop was rude 20 minutes before closing shouting to a full shop of people that they were closing and we had to leave or go and pay, security on the door of the live lounge stopping the kids seeing parents as they had not scanned the covid app even though they had our details and knew how many people were with us and restrictions had been lifted these are young kids, swimming pool and changing area was very dirty / scruffy every visit and not well managed the life guards stood and watched teenagers running and jumping into the pool on top of familys with young kids learning to swim in armbands. Entertainment also very poor. I will never use Haven again absolutely appalling. I understand covid restrictions but greed has taken over. We normally love Haven holidays every year with the kids but will not returning in future to any Haven site after this experience.

Absolute joke of an agency!!!

I telephoned the women first explained my situation as I knew there was some issues with group bookings ie-hen and stag parties, our situation regarded a family booking but they were all over 18, she told me to put all details in the online data form-which I did!
They then took my booking and I paid the £100 security bond
So since the booking had been accepted I then booked the second caravan for the remainder of my family and had to pay full amount as it was 30 days prior to date.
Then yesterday 2 weeks till we go she phoned to get balance paid and go over our details to then tell me that on revision that the booking was not getting accepted and she would be returning our security deposit and denied speaking to me prior to our booking being made and hung up on me!!
Now our other caravan can’t give refund so I will loose £255 if I can’t get another caravan !!
NEVER trust this company go with a company you CAN trust or prepare to be let down or loose money!!

Unbelievably bad

Just returned from a disaster of a holiday at Craig Tara Holiday Park. I booked a caravan through a private company called Sea View Holiday Homes(craigtaracaravans.) The caravan was described as luxury accommodation for up to 8 people. 3 bedrooms and double pull out bed in the lounge. We decided to take my mother along to give her a break as there would be plenty of room. We were asked to be at the caravan by 4pm to pick up the keys. Arrived at exactly 4pm but no sign of the rep. Rang their mobile at 4.15pm and was told someone would be with us shortly. 2 minutes later they arrived. At first glance everything seemed to be okay but there was a bit of a smell from previous dogs, however once we brought in our luggage and looked in the bedrooms I was disgusted at the state of the bedding we were expected to use. The quilts were stained with what looked like blood, food, excrement and other unknown substances. The pillows were so old and flat that we had to put three together to fill the pillow cases. Using the quilts was out of the question as I wouldn't let a dog sleep on them let alone my children. My husband had to go and buy us all sleeping bags. We pulled out the bed setee to have a look and couldn't believe the state of it. Apart from the size of it, no way was it a double, it was filthy. There was old bits of food, enough to fill a rubbish bag and it stank. There was no bedding but that was probably a good thing. We ended up putting cushions on the floor and sleeping on them. The kitchen was a joke. Beneath the fridge was manky and I had to clean the oven before I could use it. When I did the heat was minimal, it took 5 hours to bake potatoes. There was only enough cutlery for 4 people so we had to eat in relays. The microwave oven was rusted inside and the casing was damaged which means anyone using it was probably exposed to radiation. Outside we had a balcony which had a child lock gate but the lock was broken and had to be kept shut with a piece of string. Needless to say our toddler soon worked this out for herself. There was only seating for three people so we couldn't all sit outside and look at the view which was the only thing the caravan had going for it. At the end of our break I met with the rep to hand back the keys and tell him my concerns . He agreed that the bedding was a disgrace and apologised for the other issues and said he would pass these on to the owner. No mention of any compensation for the extra expense we incurred having to buy bedding for 7 people. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We have stayed at Craig Tara in the past and usually book through their own site but as this was a late booking there was nothing available with them. Booking through Sea View Holiday Homes was more expensive as the fun passes had to be paid for on top of the caravan rental. That would have been fine if the caravan had been luxury as advertised but this smelly dirty van was far from luxury. It was not even adequate. This company should be held accountable for false advertising and for over charging.
