Worst airline ever!!
Went on a business trip via Croatia airlines. My case came through cracked and open, when seeking for compensation or abit of acknowledgment - nothing! Very unhelpful and no service at the airport. Wrote an email with images, reply was it’s not our fault! Any other airline would be more sympathetic and apologetic. But nothing. Definitely will not be using this airline again for lack of service! Stay away.
Robbed!!!
Due to fully booked flight, I was told that I cannot bring my hand luggage into the cabin and was forced to give it away at the gate (so they'd put it in the baggage compartment). All of my personal stuff was there and, although it was a direct flight Frankfurt-Zagreb, they have managed to loose it on the way so I had literally nothing to wear the next day at the conference (flight arrived at 23pm on Friday evening and the conference was on Saturday morning), but that's not the worst part. The luggage arrived 2 day later and half of my stuff were MISSING!!! Someone actually opened it and took everything except the clothes. CA refused to take responsibility for that and denied my refund request.
Sufficient for Short-Range Flights
I've flown with Croatia Airlines multiple times before, from Zagreb to Zürich or to Frankfurt Am Main, and the staff was always kind. I've not witnessed any lowered hospitality towards foreigners and never saw their demeanor deflate after serving me (half Croatian) and then serving a foreigner.
The snacks suffice for short-ranged flights such as the ones I took (60 minutes up to 130 minutes), often being in the form of tasty, healthy crackers.
I'm not always pleased with the planes they operate with, especially given that the plane we were supposed to fly with on the 22nd of December was defect and we had to wait a tad longer for a new one to be prepared, but they get the job done. Kudos to the skilled pilots, even more so the ones operating the smaller airplanes as they sway to the side and name the country that the passenger is able to look at much better due to the tilt.
In case of a delay, the staff always apologizes and the pilot often speeds up to compensate for the time lost.
Worst experience ever
Flight cancelled on 23 December due to "force majeure," specifically limited visibility in Sarajevo. However, that is a lie, and there was sufficient visibility. All the other flights for Sarajevo successfully landed. We have received no option but to go with the bus for some 6-7 hours drive. We have received 0.25 bottles of water (number of bottles was insufficient to cover all passengers). We did not even depart at the time when we were supposed to be in Sarajevo already. Very unpleasant Croatia Airlines staff verbally fought with passengers and rejected to provide their ID number or any kind of accreditation. Worst experience ever.
Lost luggage and no refund
We booked our flights for a lot of money with Lufthansa but then the flight was unfortunately operated by Croatian Airlines.
They lost our luggage on the trip and only returned it 45 days later. This also implied that we did not have any of our personal belongings on our 10 day vacation. They told us we can buy clothes and other necessary items and they would refund it.
We have been requesting the refund in September and have been IGNORED until now. Incredible bad customer service. They owe us 800€ and simply decide to ignore the request!
Perfect fraud
Perfect fraud! The airline cancelled my flight without noticing me and without refund, and made me by a new ticket at full prize! Given the fact that no other airlines operates the travel in question, I just had to buy a new ticket. The response of the service desk? «It is the system…» Brilliant!

Booked an expensive flight June 2020
Booked an expensive flight June 2020. Was cancelled before flight but Croatia Airline refused to pay refund as legally required within 2 weeks. Said I might get it back at the "end of the year". Had to get it back through my bank vi a"services not provided". Basically thieves and liars. Worse still I noted they were still selling tickets for the flight after telling me it was cancelled.

We flew from Palermo Sicily to Zagreb using Croatian Airlines. Our luggage was lost. And it was located approximately a week after our flight. However a week after that (two weeks total) the luggage still has not been delivered to my location in Croatia

Amazing experience
I often fly with Croatia Airlines and always have a positive experience. They easily change the flights with little additional costs. Why I wanted to write a review now is because this was my first time flying with a dog. Many of the airlines don’t even offer the possibility to take your small dog with you, and CA made me feel like he was as important as me. The staff both at the airport and the plane was super nice to us, even changed our seats once we were in the air so we can both have more space, sit alone and not under the seat. I highly recommend them!

Very bad airline experience. Too expensive for they offer. Not flexible at all in times of covid. I'll try to avoid whenever I can.
I can’t believe they can come through…
I can’t believe they can come through with this kind of unethical business practices.
2 months ago we bought tickets to fly with them.
They had 2 combinations: one with not so great flying times and another one with much more comfortable flying time/waiting time in the middle airport. Needless to say, this second option was more expensive.
We chose the expensive aka comfortable one because we fly with toddlers.
Then, a couple of weeks before flying, they cancelled our flight and offered the other combination as option (the cheaper one with worse flying times). But they wouldn’t refund the price difference because in their eyes it’s the same flight.

Cheap, Fast, noisy planes but the service!
I was very positively impressed. The flight attendants were so nice! I had a personal issue and needed to stay close to the window, but the flight was full and there was no empty spaces. They succeed to arrange that for me, and were very polite and helpful through all my flight. I am very thankful!

They will not refund you if you are not able to take the scheduled flight due covid reasons! Worst airline ever!!
Random cancellations
Not recommend. They will randomly cancel your flights without offering any reason or good alternatives. Best to avoid them at all costs and to book immediately with an actual trustworthy airline.

After not being able to travel due to…COVID 19
After not being able to travel due to COVID 19 for my flights I accepted vouchers for my flights which I still can't use , so I requested a refund for which they only refunded taxes because they said my flights weren't cancelled . I live in Australia and still aren't able to travel overseas . I think the Croatian Airlines need to REFUND my money in full .

It would be a very appreciated if you refund our money that you have stolen from our last flight Sarajevo-Zagreb-Paris-Montreal-Toronto.
You have canceled our flight from Sarajevo to Zagreb, which ended up us to be renting a vehicle from Sarajevo airport and forcing us to drive to Zagreb to catch our connection flight. Rental costs us €400. Our agent at Nives Travel has been contacting you several times with no response back from you! This is unacceptable and a very shameful move from Croatia Airlines. We always thought you guys were professionals.
We have been your customers for 20 years this is not the way we deserved to be treated. My whole family have been using Croatia Airlines for so many years. This is very shameful! We all are definitely stopping using your service unit we receive our refund.
