Excellent response to complaint
Pleased to report that after highlighting an issue with unexpected clawing back of my cash back balance CSSC have investigated the matter and have made arrangements with their provider ‘Boostworks’ to have the amount returned to my account. It would appear I wasn’t the only person impacted on by this issue so well done CSSC for standing up for your members, apologising, getting the money returned and ensuring the terms and conditions around expiry dates for cash back have now been made clear. It’s a shame Boostworks were not as helpful or understanding when the incident occurred. Hopefully they will provide a better service to CSSC members going forward.

False advertising on cashback scheme
Bought a Gregg's reloadable gift card that stated you receive 7% cashback.
What they don't tell you is that you can't get your cashback until you reach £5 cashback or more.
They also don't tell you there's a fee for reloading the gift card which, effectively, reduces the amount of theoretical cashback you get.
In other words, unless you load up £72 in a single transaction, you can't actually access any cashback! (£5 is roughly 7% of £72).
Total waste of time and effort and extremely misleading advertising - it doesn't mention any of these things anywhere on the website, Ts &C's or FAQs.

Terrible
Terrible. I bought a £75 voucher. I got to the checkout and it was denied, I had to pay using my card.
I called to ask for a refund and told I couldn’t have it. I had to wait until they investigated. They gave me no time frame as to how long with would take.

Awful and getting worse just spoke to a girl on the phone who was so rude and totally unhelpful as never listened. AVOID at all costs the site is worst than ever
Not what it used to be!
The only reason I am giving 1* because 0* isn't an option! Cost of membership has gone up, but discounts and service has gone down! 3 recent incidents: my card did not re-load because it had corrupted but it took them 4 working days to tell me and after my card was rejected for payment; my new card wasn't re-loaded so again when I went to pay I wasn't able to and it took over 2 weeks to rectify that and only after I went on Twitter; and my card then got re-loaded twice and when I notified them to let them know, they cancelled my card so that I couldn't use my own portion of money on it. They could've given me the option of using my money first so that I wasn't inconvenienced since I had been good enough to tell them about it. Absolutely appalling and as a final thing, the website is far from intuitive or user friendly! I would never again recommend anyone join the scheme. They should take some tips from Blue Light Card on getting decent discounts for its membership! Truly disappointing scheme and service.

Don't do it
Don't do it, it's not worth the hassle and stress.
Mrs. Pickle is not pleased with how I spent my evening trying to fix this mess, I'm in shambles.
The Daily Mail will be hearing about this.

11 days and waiting for my card to be topped up!,
Just like Maria.previous review
I used the top up card to pay for Costa back in December after numerous phone calls and emails it took 13 days for my card to be topped up. Should have realised once bitten twice shy, but no I bought a new card and this time 11 days have passed by and still no credit on my Costa card , so far two emails and one phone call and apparently it’s being looked into !!

CSSC offer a great range of benefits that allow me to save money each week. I've saved on my gym membership and my food shopping. I can recommend CSSC to any public sector worker.
Beware CSSC and their store card service
I have been a CSSC member for many years so I decided to use their shopping card service. This service allows you to credit a store card to earn rewards.
I ordered a Asda gift card, waited for it to be activated and put on a large sum of money. I waited the 4 working days for the money to be credited and it was not done. I called Asda to check if the credit had been applied at it hadn’t. I then called the support centre at CSSC for 3 days, emailed them, asked for a manager to call me and the only response I got was that they are looking into it. Instead of crediting my card or giving me a digital voucher, they made me wait and I am still waiting.
As it stands, I am hundreds of pounds out of pocket, no one has given me a reason why I can’t get my money credited immediately.
I am requesting a credit back from my bank as that is my only option as it stands. I do not recommend this service as it’s not worth the hassle or the reward
