Great products.

Great products.
I ordered a large octopus bowl that looked like it might be hard to pack and deliver. It arrived within 2 days very well packaged and the courier company they used were excellent. Can't fault this company and I will definitely be back for more of their beautiful products.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong - but still 5 stars?

I was sent the wrong items, items arrived damaged, the courier "lost" my shipment and it took about a year and a half from initial enquiry to receiving all of the correct items so why am I still giving 5 stars?

1) Time frame - It was a large special order with a lot of made to order items shipped a large distance so Culinary Concepts were very upfront about the expected delivery schedule. My slow response times due to being busy and forgetful, plus the comedy of errors that ensued delayed things even further but the company was in constant contact by email throughout the process.
2) Courier "lost" my giant heavy box full of expensive cutlery so not Culinary Concepts fault - but they did everything they could to fix the problem until the courier company miraculously found my lost items.
3) Upon delivery a number of items were damaged as the boxes had been torn open and items were thrown loosely together in transit. You would not believe the state my items were delivered in - again not their problem but the fault of the courier, Culinary Concepts went out of their way to fix the issue.
4) Some items received were not the best quality but how much of that was due to the damage received in transit I don't know. These issues were dealt with promptly.
4) Wrong items received - Finally something the company did wrong but only 8 items out of over 220 that were sent, were incorrect. As it was my third delivery at this point, and these were replacements for the original correct items that were damaged in transit I have made allowances for human error (as we all should) - again this problem was addressed very promptly.

I had one constant contact for this entire process, and it was all done by email due to time differences but Sam went absolutely above and beyond at every hurdle we encountered and is an absolute credit to her company!
They did not ship to my country but made an exception for me as I could not get the items I wanted anywhere else. Yes it was a very large order, a 17 piece place setting for 12 people plus assorted serving items and sets, bowls, etc but they could have easily said no due to fact I live on the other side of the world. Several of the problems I had were not their responsibility and they could have easily said they had done their part but Sam did everything she could and quickly solved each problem as it occurred.

In short, things do go wrong sometimes, no company or person is perfect, but I am giving 5 stars because of how each and every problem was promptly and professionally resolved, beyond my expectations as a consumer.

Rusty knives

Having sent photos to customer services of cheese knives and a butter knife that had rust in the knotted handle, I was advised by Sam to 'rub some vegetable oil into these areas to remove the oxidisation', although this did remove the rust, it did not and cannot remove the fact that the metal does not have a coating and still looks cheap and will happen again and again, perhaps the new word is 'rustic'. However, on Sam's email, it says 'If I can assist you further please do not hesitate to come back to me', well I emailed back on 25 March and no reply. Poor customer service.

Spectacular Service!

I ordered three replacement test tube vases, as I noticed one was cracked and as they are so fragile, thought I may as well buy a couple more.
These were ordered on a Thursday afternoon and despite going for the normal postage, they were delivered to me before 9am the following morning! Now that is what I call great customer service!

Made in Thailand with awful delays

Having ordered in the past and had a great experience I am utterly astounded at the terrible service on the last two orders. I placed an order in July and when it hadn’t arrived by September I placed a second order in the hope that I would receive one order by Christmas… how wrong was I? The items are not made in the uk despite the website allowing you to think so and goods are made and delivered from Thailand and had been delayed due to a flood but no one took the time to advise us of this situation. Today I have received the balance of my outstanding order (the other arrived after Christmas) which was a replacement as the wrong items had been sent. I will not be ordering again.

We are very sorry that you experienced such a long delay with your handmade to order cutlery. As you mentioned in your review our cutlery is made in Thailand and due to the unprecedented flooding, our factory was completely under water and our whole shipment was sadly delayed.

I can see from our records that unfortunately we do not have a contact telephone number on file for you but did email you on the 26th October and 13th December to keep you updated on the delay of your order.

I am disappointed to hear you received Hammered Knot Tea Forks instead of the Polished Knot Tea Forks ordered, this was due to human error. I’m pleased to see that my colleague Claire assisted you with rectifying the problem and you have now received the correct design.

Outstanding customer service!

I placed an order back in December and as it was going to arrive when I wasn’t in I had rescheduled with the courier for 6th Jan. Well, three weeks later I finally got my parcel after empty promises from the courier, but the shining star of this review is Claire in customer service for Culinary Concepts who kept me well informed and fought on my behalf for my order to arrive with me. She kept me incredibly well updated with daily communication and in the end, was going to send a replacement out with a different courier and reclaim the original parcel. Well, with this request to the courier, magically it turned up at my front door this afternoon! I really appreciate the outstanding customer service from these guys, you’re doing a fantastic job.

Beautiful products and superb customer…

Beautiful products and superb customer service (a rare quality these days). I ordered some items for a special birthday for my husband but some how mucked up the order and I forgot to click to confirm the transaction. When I finally realised my mistake, I rang the company in a bit of a panic and they went out of their way to make sure I had the products the next day and in time for the birthday. Really impressive service and my husband was none the wiser! Will definitely be shopping with them again.

Beautiful products, excellent service

I ordered some beautiful Xmas tree decorations in January from Culinary Concepts (January Sale) as well as an elegant circular drinks tray. Everything arrived superbly packaged (no breakages) and I am delighted with the quality of everything I bought. I can highly recommend this company and will definitely buy from them again. Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. I had a slight fault with a product. I didn't have a way to get the product back to CC for inspection due to living remotely . Sam arranged a pick up from the door and rectified the problem quickly. Couldn't ask for a better service and the items are so beautifully made, they really are like peices of art. We get so many compliments on the peices and will continue collecting more and more. Thank you CC for providing unique stunning peices and service that went above and beyond!!

I purchased the set of 3 polished knot…

I purchased the set of 3 polished knot cheese knives from F&M. After their first use (with careful washing and drying) they are marked and rusted to the point where I would be embarrassed to have them out with friends. Incredibly disappointed in the brand and would not buy anything else.

What an excellent recovery

We take any feedback regarding packaging seriously and feel it is important for our customers to understand why their orders are sent this way. The cutlery is sent within individual plastic sleeves to protect the sharp blades and points from scratching the other pieces and we don’t place the set inside the presentation box for delivery, as the pieces can become dislodged during transit. Unfortunately, our warehouse is now closed for the festive period but I would be more than happy to arrange for replacement boxes to be sent out to you as a priority when we reopen.

A Beautiful item

This problem has now been resolved. Culinary Concepts have now sent my item next day delivery. The item itself is lovely and I am very pleased with it. It was sent free of charge as my original payment is being re-imbursed by Joules. It has arrived in a lovely box and will now be wrapped and given as a belated present. It was the Stag Head wine bottle stopper. All is now well and I thank both companies for sorting the problem between them.

Excellent Customer Service, Better Than Described!

I've bought a number of items from CC over the last year or two, I had one minor issue with my first order (not the fault of CC) and they handled it very well indeed. I've since purchased a few new items and one 'factory second' which looks as new and came with a very nice box too. All in, CC has been a pleasure to buy from, quick postage, good service, excellent products. All very good!

I had a broken chair leg making the…

I had a broken chair leg making the chair unusable. I contacted the company via email and quickly received a reply from Emma.
We exchanged a few emails where we tried to establish exactly what leg was on the chair. It appears that the design had changed so Emma arranged for a complete set of legs to be sent.
After sales service is extremely important as the service you get from the sale itself and I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
This service I received from Emma was exemplary and I thank her for her help
