Written by the company

CutMate™ is a Dorset-based product created by inventor and DIY enthusiast Graham Waring to make cutting sheet materials safer, easier and more controlled. CutMate is a reusable board-cutting support accessory designed to support the final part of a cut when working with sheet materials such as plywood, OSB, MDF, plasterboard and other boards. It is designed to help prevent the unsupported section of material from dropping, moving or breaking away as the cut is completed, helping to produce a cleaner and more controlled finish. The CutMate design is intended for use with common cutting methods including circular saws, handsaws and track saws. The accessory attaches to the board and provides support for the remaining section of material during the final part of the cut, helping keep hands clear of the cutting area. CutMate was developed from practical experience of DIY and woodworking, with the aim of solving a simple problem that can occur when cutting large or awkward sheets. The product is designed to be reusable, lightweight and easy to use, making it suitable for DIY enthusiasts, tradespeople, woodworkers and anyone regularly working with sheet materials. CutMate is currently being developed as a growing independent UK product brand, with the aim of moving towards larger-scale manufacturing and making the product more widely available. Based in Wareham, Dorset, CutMate is committed to developing practical products that solve everyday problems. Customer feedback is an important part of the development process, helping to improve the product and understand how it is used in real-world situations. CutMate™ is an independent Dorset invention and is designed, developed and brought to market in the UK.
