Dacey’s Tour for the win!
So much fun! Dacey’s Cornish Tours are a big win! The beautiful Cornish countryside was spectacular and David’s expert guidance and commentary added so much to our enjoyment of the trip.
This Cornwall Tour is the One to Beat!
What a great tour! The smaller size meant we all felt like friends at the end of the tour. I appreciated the pacing of the tour as David didn't fill up every moment of each day but still kept things interesting.
Cornwall is gorgeous and at every turn you get sweeping views of the coast, a seaside village, or rolling green farmland. What a treat. Also, for those who love wildflowers, I highly recommend taking the May tour. Bluebells (and others) everywhere.
The tour bus was comfortable and safely driven by our two drivers Ed and Steve. I appreciated being able to spread out on the bus and decompress between village stops. David was very attentive to our need for bathroom and meal breaks, and we were never without a place to rest when needed.
David was friendly, energetic, humorous, generous with his time (often ate dinner with guests if they so desired) and extremely knowledgeable about Cornwall. If you like taking organized tours, this is the one to beat!
Small Groups - the only way to travel
Our tour included 2 hotels & 2 castle hotel stays. All of the excellent accommodations were en suite & included a full English breakfast.
Our tour had 11 members (max is 14) which made it easy to go where the big buses can't.
David, our guide & owner of Daceys Cornish Tours, has a vast knowledge of the area & was able to tell us the history of much of what we saw. The highlights of the trip for me, in addition to the castle accommodations, we're Port Isaac, The Lost Gardens of Heligan & the hike & visit to King Arthur's Castle.
The tour offers plenty of time to explore, eat a pasty or shop on your own while comfortably seeing everything there is to see. I also enjoyed visiting Lands End for the scenery and to see where the English Channel meets the Atlantic Ocean. What I didn't like was the visitor area, shops & food areas, which made it feel very much like a theme park.
Plan for both wet & dry conditions because in Cornwall you never know what the weather will do. I suggest a light rain jacket with hood, umbrella & hat. I had all 3 & still got a little wet on an afternoon walk. You don't need hiking shoes but good, lace up, walking shoes make things more comfortable.
There is no laundry service available so pack accordingly. You can do laundry, if necessary, when you return to London. You don't need fancy evening clothes for dinner. Instead pack a sweater or an extra layer for warmth. You may not need it but if do you will thank me for the hint.
Cash is not necessarily king in the UK anymore. 99% of the places we visited took credit cards (some places do not accept AMEX). Taxis take cards but prefer cash.
All that being said I wholeheartedly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours.
Cornwall Adventure
Our tour of Cornwall was wonderful despite a couple of rainy days. Every stop was interesting and the views were glorious! We dipped our toes in the English Channel, touched the standing stones, ate pasties, visited castles, walked over a suspension bridge, hiked through beautiful gardens and overall had an amazing trip! Bring your walking shoes! I highly recommend!
This tour was everything we had hoped…
This tour was everything we had hoped for and checked all the boxes on our mother/daughter bucket list adventure. We were amazed at the ground we covered in exploring magical Cornwall. It was full of diverse experiences yet still offered lots of time to relax and take it all in.
Thank you to David, our drivers and each and every person on our tour… you all helped make it so very special.
Dacey's Cornish Tours--What a delight!
Dacey's Cornish Tours--What a delight! It exceeded all our expectations. The itinerary provided a diversity of experiences from castles and gardens to film sites, amazing views, unique accommodations, charming towns and historical backgrounds. The limited number of people on each tour leads to a friendly, family-style atmosphere. The whole tour was a wonderful, unforgettable adventure!
Fabulous experience
I was expecting wonderful, and I got that writ large. It was a beautiful time filled with great companions, a witty and knowledgeable leader, and spectacular scenery that has burned permanent holes in my memory bank. And Cornish pasties and cream teas too!
What a memorable trip
What a memorable trip. The small group of 14 was a perfect size to make new friends from all over the world. David, our illustrious tour director, was knowledgeable and fun. He gave us lots of time to explore on our own. Cornwall is so beautiful and quaint and the Cornish people are delightful. I highly recommend this tour.
Had a wonderful time
Had a wonderful time. The tour guide, David, was invariably affable and helpful. And he supplied interesting tidbits of history along the way. Accommodations were also fine. (A turn on the zipline at the Eden Project, if you're up for it, is not to be missed.

5 Stars for Dacey's Cornish Tours
My trip to Cornwall was amazing! If you're looking for a relaxed, small group tour, Dacey's is for you. He has put together a well-organized itinerary. You'll get to go where larger coaches can't. You'll see some amazing beaches and gardens. You'll stay in great hotels. If you are interested in seeing the best of Cornwall, Dacey's Cornish Tours is for you.
It's just splendid!
My husband and I had a great times visiting Cornwall for the first time with Dacey’s Cornish tour.
The tour surpassed all our expectations: fantastic tour guide (David), excellent overnight accommodations, clean shuttles and safe drivers (Ed and Steve).
Not only does the tour escort us through a well-planned, relaxing, and organized itinerary, we have plenty of times and freedom to explore the places ourselves. We also enjoy the small group size. We get to break-the-ice quickly, bond easily, and shared these wonderful together! We hope to soon embark on a re-visit journey to Cornwall.
Perfect tour with perfect people
Everything was perfect! The accommodations were top-notch. All the spots in the tour were stunningly beautiful, and most importantly the tour gives you the freedom on how you want to explore. The small tour size is also nice. Now, about Cornwall, we love everything it has to offer, and we will definitely come back to explore it more!
The Daceys Cornish Tours was the best tour ever
The Daceys Cornish Tours was the best tour I have ever been on. The accommodations were top rate. They easily accommodated my family of 3 at each hotel. The tour information and the stops were fabulous. I would recommend this tour as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the big city of London. If you like quaint, small tours, this is it.
Wow what a week!
Wow what a week in beautiful Cornwall - we saw so many stunning places with our 5 star guide - a great big thank you to David for the excellent organisation and uninterrupted good humour! If ever a re-revisited tour will one day be programmed, I'll be there!

We made our trip to Cornwall with…Tom and Joan
We made our trip to Cornwall with Dacey’s a family affair with 7 of us meeting up in London to launch a terrific tour guided by David. Having a small group of 14 was so nice! The itinerary was well planned and relaxing and overnight accommodations were very nice in great locations. It was wonderful visiting Doc Martin and Poldark country first hand traveling through the beauty of Cornwall. One of my favorites was The Lost Gardens of Heligan, a must see! Many, many other sights and experiences fill my memories. Go to Cornwall! Thanks, David!
One for your bucket list!
We just returned from the best week with Dacey’s Cornish Tours. We go from Celtic history with a visit to Tintagel and King Arthur to Modern biodiversity and a “save the planet” philosophy with the Eden Project and everything in between. We stayed in top-notch accommodations and David, as our guide, was congenial and informative. It’s a non- traditional tour in that David provides an informational narrative in the coach then leads us through the various venues. What’s different is that we had time to explore on our own so the timetable is very flexible (except being prompt so the bus can leave on time). The size of the group is no more than 14 so you get to know your traveling companions quite well. Our group was simply delightful - from all over the US and Europe and included varying age groups.
I could go on but see for yourself!
I highly recommend Dacey’s to all. Admittedly, Cornwall wasn’t on my personal map but it certainly is now. We are looking forward to going back for a “revisit tour” one day.
Check it out. I can guarantee the you won’t be disappointed!

Great re-visited tour
I am just back from my 2nd trip to Cornwall, with Daceys Cornish Tours. Cornwall is really a magical place, I can see why David wants to share it with others. Our tour was wonderful, the small villages, the Tin mine, scenic views, and even a quick re-visit to Port Isaac. Love the fact that there are only 14 people on the tour, we had a great group, and were fortunate with the weather, only 1 rainy day. I'm sure this wasn't my last trip to Cornwall...
