My husband and I chose Itinerary 2 because it included seeing the Geevor Tin Mine. David is a great host, and our small group quickly became friends. We saw so many lovely towns. The tin mine was a hi... See more

Beautiful Cornwall
Cornwall is beautiful and Daceys Cornish Tours took us to all the important sites with sufficient time to explore the lovely towns and gardens independently at our own pace. No group lectures, name tags, or headsets (thank goodness)! David, Harry, and Jim made traveling easy and fun.
This Is the Way to See Cornwall
If you read the many reviews you will see that the tour is outstanding for visiting the Cornwall area. I cannot add any comments to those that describe the features and the beauty of the area.
What makes the tour so pleasant and enjoyable are David, Harry and Jim. First class people who take extraordinary care of their guests. Quite a team!

Beyond expectations,
Beyond expectations,
With only 14 folks on the tour we went places where larger tour buses could not go. We went down the very narrow streets and into town centers.
In Port Isaac the Doc Martin crew was filming. In Charlestown we stayed in the same hotel as the Poldark cast. St Michael's Mount was unbelievable as was St Ives. Food was very good with fresh seafood available every lunch and dinner. The Cornwall folks were very friendly. Plenty of time to wonder on your own if you cared too.
Wonderful!
Well planned with bonus stops along the way - Merry Maidens stone circle, little beaches. Loved the stops at Heligan Gardens, Eden Project, and Lanhydrock House. Beautiful, quiet hotels with great amenities and breakfasts. Some of these hotels and stops could accommodate those with mobility issues; others could not - be aware this is an active tour with lots of walking. Many of the towns have steep roads and/or cobblestones so be prepared as you'll need some stamina and good shoes!
All in all, really enjoyed it, very well planned, and each guest is well looked-after!
We loved this tour of Cornwall which …
We loved this tour of Cornwall which allowed us to absorb it's beautiful coastline, quaint villages and historic sites. There was plenty of time to explore places like Port Isaac (home of the Doc Martin tv series), Charlestown (a popular filming location, even passing Bill Nighy as he strolled along the waterfront) and others; visits to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden project, the Lanhydrock Estate and gardens added to our Cornwall experience.
Thanks to David, Harry and Jim for enhancing our tour with their local knowledge and humor.
Daceys Cornish Tours: the ONLY way to see Cornwall
Just returned from a truly fulfilling week around Cornwall with Dacey Tours. With only 14 tour participants, the three experts leading the tour- the owner David, his marvellous assistant Harry and the excellent driver Jim- were able to understand the specific interests of each traveller. In several places, alternative walks (ambitious for those so inclined, gentle for others) were offered. The Cornish scenery and lifestyle is very agreeable but there also reminders of bygone days when miners took their lovingly filled pasties to give them sustenance during their hard work: now Cornish pasties are available for the tourists to enjoy in a wide variety of versions. Certainly the week-long tour with Daceys Cornish Tours offers the best possible way of experiencing the delights of Cornwall!
Magical Cornwall at its best!
If you want to really experience this beautiful peninsula, then go with David. He, Harry and Jim are passionate about the places they lived and worked. You will have all the information and all the wandering time you need to find the special places at each stop. The hotels are unique and above average quality. There are surprises along the way and beauty as far as the eye can see. I loved my week with Dacey's Cornish Tours and highly recommend it. Bring your walking shoes and go!
Cornwall in July
Our trip to Cornwall with Dacey's Cornish Tours was such a treat! David, Harry, and Jim were organized, informative, humorous, gentlemanly hosts who took care of all of the details of the tour from start to finish. All of the stops on the tour seemed thoughtfully chosen to not only show us the highlights of Cornwall, but give us the "feel" of Cornwall. I appreciated the way the gentlemen were able to adapt the tour to suit the needs of our group, from the more active and adventurous, to the "senior" members of the tour like my mother. July weather was perfect with only a bit of rain in Truro. Highlights for me included
• an evening performance at the Minack Theatre
• Cornish hedges laden with foxglove, dog rose, red valerian and birdsong on the walk to Port Isaac
• the Gulval churchyard and the gravesite of pirate John Thomas
• a sunrise walk alone around Charlestown with a trip through the graveyard of the Church of Saint Paul’s
• fresh fish, Tribute ale, Rhubarb and Vanilla Sparkle, Kelly’s Cornish Honeycomb Clotted Cream ice cream, saffron buns from a bakeshop in Fowey (yes, Harry, I love to eat, especially dessert!)
The small tour size (14) allowed members to get acquainted and become a sort of “family”. Individuals traveling alone always had the option of dining with David, Harry, and Jim or with other members if they chose.
All in all, the tour is a delight and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this tour again.
What fun, what an education, and more...
It's the most enjoyed vacation in years. Of course, we fell in love with Cornwall: it's scenic beauty, quaint little towns, it's cliffs and oceans.
But David and crew did all the planning, reserving in terrific hotels (even a castle), huge breakfasts, narrative and just the right amount of free time.
For the small group, we saw more and learned more than if we had gone on our own. The van was comfortable, the time was well used and we loved every minute.
Thank you David, Harry and Jim
Our tour of Cornwall with Daceys Tours
We wanted to see and get the feel Cornwall, not just a 2 day stop or an extensive tour of England. Daceys Tours provided that for us. We got a personal tour of Cornwall, it was like visiting friends and having them show us around. The tour was exactly what we were looking for, a small, intimate group made for a very relaxed trip.Thank you Daceys Tour!
Like traveling with very knowledgable family!
My mother and I truly enjoyed our tour with Dave, Harry and Jim - they are all fantastic. Harry must be one of the kindest people we've ever met, and so knowledgable about Cornwall and its history. Cornwall is even prettier than we could imagine, and they do a great job giving you the highlights and make you want to come back again. For someone with challenges walking, some parts were frustrating but the crew always gave us options which was great. Only a bus the size we were on could fit in some of the remarkable spots we went, but it is hard to be so close to the next person for so long - although the sights more than made up for the small quarters on the bus and the tour guides are so fantastic that you forget about it. It was amazing to me how efficiently and smoothly we checked in and out of the hotels - really well-done. We would highly recommend - we love Cornwall as a result of Daceys Cornish Tours and its amazing guides!
A lovely way to see Cornwall!
Leave the driving to Daceys! Jim did a superb job whether on the motorway or a very narrow lane. Cornwall is beautiful, and David and Harry showed us many of its best parts. Michael's Mount, Land's End, and Tintagel (a side trip for me arranged by David) are all places I've wanted to see for many years -- and worth the wait. Small, personal tours are definitely the best way to travel, and Daceys Cornish Tours are great value for the money as well. My only disappointment was that it came to an end -- I did not want to leave Cornwall.
Dacey's Cornish Tour is amazingly encompassing
Dacey's Cornish Tour is amazingly encompassing.. David himself is very knowledgeable , and knows the history and stories of every Town. A small Group,in a small bus, enables everyone to share all the experiences, to their own ability and wish. There was usually a choice of an amble around, or a longer, more serious walk, or simply to self explore. As long as you were back at the bus on time! Highlights for me were the statuary garden at the Barbara Hepworth House, and the wonderful Minack Theatre. And David had incredibly good seating there, for all of us. The highlight for my Friend was to be in port Isaac, where Doc Martin is filmed. This is still a working fishing village, and by the way, the Pub here has the best Cornish Pasties ! There is something important to see, every day. All the Hotels have comfortable rooms, and very good included breakfasts. This Tour of Cornwall is very good value, extremely varied and interesting. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who really wants to see that part of England
Best of the best
This tour is one of the best . From the start to the end in London we had such a wonderful time seeing everything there was to offer of Cornwall . With such knowledgable guides telling us about the history of Cornwall we learnt so much.
We were taken to so many wonderful places which will last in our memories for ever .
We had time to stroll the seaside towns and little village shops on our own as well which was all an added bonus .
We had top class accommodation and excellent breakfasts supplied .As only fourteen people taken on a tour at a time we all got to know each other quite well and had many good times along the way.
The highlight for us was being taken to the Minack theatre for a night show it was absolutely wonderful.
At the end of the show the driver was there to met us and take us all safely back to our hotel.
Would fully recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the real Cornwall under the guideness of David and his crew .
A tip to remember is to book early as this tour fills up very quickly so to avoid disappointment would suggest you do so when you know when you want to go.
To David , Harry. and Jim thank you so much guys for making this trip so enjoyable to both John and myself .
You guys are tops

We came to love Cornwall because these tour operators love Cornwall!
For an exotic yet relatively unknown part of England, once a Celtic nation, the southwest county of Cornwall is a treasure trove of variety, beauty and history. The operators of Dacey's Cornish Tours provided an intimate experience in a relatively small tour of 14 guests with superb accommodations, knowledge and enthusiasm. We toured both coasts and saw beautiful seaside towns, marvelous gardens, stately homes, standing stones, an incredible set-in-stone theater, and more...with just the right amount of free time and camaraderie of choice. The food was heavenly and all the breakfasts were included. The beginning and ending in London made it easy to access the tour and add time before and after. A unique way to see a magical place I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get off the beaten track of cliche locations. We now love Cornwall!
Excellent way to visit Cornwall
Dacey's Cornish Tours provided me with an excellent way to see Cornwall. They did the driving, so I just sat in the coach with 14 people enjoying the scenery. David and Harry provided us with a six-day tour allowing us to explore and enjoy several beautiful little towns. With two tour guides, we could choose a short or more detailed tour at each stop, as well as wandering around by ourselves. They kept an eye out for us and gave enthusiastic recommendations. They made excellent choices of hotels and restaurants. It was a wonderful trip.
Loving Cornwall
Would go again and again. David and Harry leave no stone unturned to make sure you experience Cornwall to your hearts desire. Thanks for a wonderful and magical time in Cornwall.
Daceys Cornish Tour of June 12, 2016
Daceys Cornish Tour of Cornwall was absolutely a wonderful tour. We visited small fishing villages and gardens, a castle, an estate and more. David, the owner, and Harry could not do enough for us. We were escorted and then had time to ourselves to explore at our own leisure. Being in a small group of14 was perfect and everyone on the tour was so nice to be with. I can not say enough but this is one tour that is a must to experience Cornwall. The tour itself was well organized and the hotels were wonderful. My husband and I were most pleased and came home with so many lovely memories. Wish we were back on the tour.
Perfection in Cornwall
Had visited Cornwall before, but something was luring me to return. Thank goodness I listened and found Dacey's Cornish Tours. No complaints; only rave reviews. David, the owner, hand-picked the villages, the landmarks, the gardens, the historic houses, the lovely hotels and the entertainment. Ensconced in our comfy van (small enough to navigate tiny streets but large enough for an occasional stretch) we went over hill and dell and I spotted two different flocks of sheep dotted with a black one! The wildflowers in the hedgerows made dramatic displays in mid-June; the seafood came right off the boat in many cases; and the company (only 11 fellow guests) was terrific. I enjoyed every minute (except a part of one afternoon) and would strongly recommend this personalized tour. Don't waste a minute with the big, impersonal tour companies...I would go again in a heartbeat. Hmmm...maybe next time in autumn? Thank you, David!
Who knew?
Who knew that Cornwall boasted palm trees, turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and a sub-tropical climate? We certainly didn't. But David, Harry and Jim opened our eyes to these delights as well as many other wonders of Cornwall including the amazing, visionary people who created the Minack Theatre and the Eden Project. We enjoyed everything about this tour from the wonderful accommodations and interesting attractions to the gorgeous landscape and charming towns. But the best was these three "ever so lovely" gentlemen who showed it all to us. Great travel group too. Thanks Brenda for recommending Dacey's Cornish Tours.
