Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the cars, citing numerous defects and recurring issues from the time of purchase, including problems with doors, seatbelts, gearboxes, and electrical failures. Reviewers also found the pricing to be a significant drawback, noting that advertised prices often did not include additional mandatory fees, leading to higher-than-expected monthly costs. The service provided by the company was frequently criticized, with many experiencing poor after-sales support, miscommunication, and unhelpful staff. Some people were dissatisfied with the product, mentioning that while the cars are generally affordable, they often come with design flaws and a lack of essential features. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that some staff members were helpful and provided good service, making their purchasing experience smoother despite other issues.

Absolutely disgusted with the service…

SUTTON PARK BURTON DACIA 37 Lichfield St, Burton-on-Trent DE14 3RH

Absolutely disgusted with the service from Dacia and the dealership.

Took delivery of a brand new 26 plate car, only to find it already had a paint scratch fault and a faulty media display straight out of the gate.

What’s worse is the complete lack of interest from both the dealership and Dacia customer support in putting things right.

No urgency, no accountability, just being passed around with no real resolution.

You expect better when spending your hard-earned money on a brand new car.

This experience has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing.

If you’re considering buying a Dacia, I’d strongly advise thinking twice.

Customer care seems to end the moment they’ve got your money.

DACIA Insurance Change in details

I have been trying to change some details on my Dacia Insurance.
Pathetic customer service.
Even when I get to change the details, I will never use them again.

DACIA OUT RIGHT DANGEROURS STEER CLEAR

Dacia- Delivery. I bought a Dacia Duster from Renault Stockport. I have tried not to complain, because I was happy with the deal and the salesman. This is my fourth and last Dacia. I have never gotten a full vehicle have always had things missing, but I liked the car, so I overlooked this in the past. They have outdone themselves this time. No books, no carpets. You haven't a clue about the car's functions when driving; it's driving by numbers. You look up what things are when you get home and go on the net. The worst thing is, I thought the steering was off, but never having driven a full hybrid before, I thought it may just be the weight balance being the problem. I thought I would check to tyers pressures. These should be 33 psi f 30 psi r. They were 40 psi all around. Apart from this being a loss of licence situation, THIS IS OUTRIGHT DANGEROUS. They did well when they first came out. I will steer clear from now on

Very disapppointing and awful service

Took my car for MOT on a Friday morning at 8:30am at Dacia Enfield and did not hear from them until 3:40pm when was told that car has not been taken in for test yet. At about their closing time I was informed that it failed MOT and needed a repair. Even though in warranty I was quoted nearly £200 for the repair but would have been done on Monday. On Monday no news from them and no callback for a long period. When finally received the call was informed that the car has still to be taken in for repair. I called Dacia HQ customer services and following their chaser call to them car was finally ready for collection at 3pm. On collection noticed my windscreen has been damaged and when confronted them they denied it even though the point of stone chip they were blaming to be the cause is in shielded area under the bonnet where no stone can reach. The service manager was abismal and patronizing in front of other customers in the showroom. I left the dealership in a respectful manner but will definitely sue.
If you do not want your car to be damaged and receive a disgusting service stay away from this dealer.

Dacia duster 1.5 4 wheel drive 2023

Dacia duster 1.5 4 wheel drive 2023

The day I bought it had nothing but problems.
Drive shaft had a lot of play so they tightened the bolts two weeks later back in to tightened bolts again then they had to put a new drive shaft let me drive around for two weeks until part delivered.
Then the rear LH passanger stoped working 4 times I had to take it back for them to fix.
Then the RH Rear passenger door was letting in rain water through the top seel which sits on the sill until I open the passanger door then it falls out this has been in to dacia 5 times which they cannot fix, a person on the front desk says its designed to do this. This car should never left the manufacturer with all these defects.
I will never buy another Dacia again as they kept making excuses.

Honest review…

Honest review…

Please note, the one star rating is not to do with Paul, it is solely based on the experience received from Dacia Portsmouth!

We have had nothing but trouble from Dacia Portsmouth! We have been a customer of them for around three years and were very interested in their new Duster range and stupidly decided to ignore the previous issues we had with them in hope they learnt their lesson in customer service… silly us!

When we went to collect our brand new Duster before Christmas, we were left waiting for hours as the car had been recalled due to an issue with the gear box which we were told it had been fixed. The brand new car was covered in scratches and damage, which has apparently gone completely unnoticed by everyone! Upon eventually driving away, the car alerted with a gear box problem, so back to Dacia we went, after being gone for no longer than five mins. Whilst awaiting an outcome, in the waiting area, we could hear Matt, the sales manager, sounding very angry, swearing about our issue, so unprofessional!

We were given a curtesy car for us to be on our way which was a lower spec than what we are actually are paying for. We are now on week three of still not in possession of our paid for car, nor have we received communication from the company as to any updates. We have had to chase them!

We went to collect the car Saturday only to be told the sales manager, Matt hasn’t done his job… yet again! After another long wait, we were still in possession of the curtesy car! Conveniently, the problem this time isn’t to do with Dacia, it’s apparently the DVLA. Not at all to do with the fact that a MANAGER hasn’t done a simple job before taking a day off. Five days he had to sort this for us to collect!

I would avoid at all costs! The only positive to give is Paul, Sales Advisor, who is the friendliest person who unfortunately has been let down by the company and is having to take the brunt of it all, which I’m sure doesn’t reflect his pay!

Web site very misleading & Dacia Letchworth mis-leading people

Dacia website.. went to get a price on a new 2026 Dacia Sandero Hatchback Journey variant. Prices are very mis-leading in PCP calculation. Went in to Dacia - Letchworth in the end as could not do it online. Web site does not mention these fees: Admin fee, Mandatory Road Tax Yearly (whereas I wanted to pay monthly), 1st Reg Fee, & Delivery Fee. Also I wanted premium delivery + pack which is not available on web site. Service Plan and Road Tax I would have expected to be separate direct debits and not in main PCP. Because both are in main PCP I got charged PCP interest on both of these which I do not think is right, especially road tax, when you go in to Post Office to do this I would not be charged interest. As a result of this the monthly cost is much higher than what web site specified! Also 2026 models are not yet at dealerships so I was forced to get an earlier year model. Very misleading. False advertising! On a positive note Mr C. Staines @ Dacia Letchworth went above and beyond to assist us buying our vehicle.

Dacia's awful customer care

The car drives fine, but the front nearside indicator has failed. It has now been eight weeks since the service desk informed me it was ordered.
After all this time, neither the dealer (Toomeys Southend) nor Dacia UK can tell me when this part will be in. I am told they get a ten day notice when it arrives in France from Renault.
Dacia have been shocking as has the dealer with a lack of information and interest in customer care.
This will be my first and last Dacia and i would caution anyone else who is in the process of looking at changing....look elsewhere.

Good experience!

I've seen the bad reviews but I can honestly say that my experience so far with Dacia UK and my local main dealer (W R Davies, Llandudno Junction) has been very positive.
Sure, my Duster has had a few issues (what car doesn't) but these have been resolved efficiently and effectively. In one case, Dacia UK needed to get involved and they were very supportive.
Main dealer serving prices are relatively high but you do get 12 months Zen warranty included. In my experience the extra cost has been worthwhile seeing as Dacia have been willing to cover warranty costs under this agreement.
Well done Dacia 👍

2 recalls in 6 months

Bought a Spring in July ‘25. Car already subject to TWO separate safety recalls within 6 months of purchase, as well as assorted other minor faults. Dacia refusing to take car back despite clearly having sold a defective vehicle. Had previously owned a Duster without any issues. Terrible service.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Visited the Abbotswell Rd, Aberdeen branch on the below date in the hope to assist with a bolt top right (inside) of my dacia boot. Wrong part was ordered.
Was told a mechanic couldn't help, had to bring the car in another day, photos needed to be taken to see if the car was under warranty (its 24 plate) if not it would be over 300 pounds to look at it, added to the possibility of another 275 if they had to take the boot of and put on the part - a new bolt???

Visited a helpful garage the following day - nothing required to be taken off... bolt tightened... fixed . Cost 0.

Emailed regarding this. After a month no response.

2021 Sandero III Battery Replacement

2021 Sandero III. Battery went flat. Got a decent brand make compatible replacement. Have replaced plenty car batteries over the years, so more than competent particular and safe. Easy enough swap out. Now dashboard is lit up like a xmas tree. Local Dacia dealer says 'oh that shouldn't happen. You'll have to bring it in to us for diagnostics, that'll be £110+vat' for the privilege. If these cars are so sensitive to having the starter battery removed and replaced, why on earth do they not have an auxiliary battery back up for critical systems? How are you supposed to change your battery in an emergency situation? I'm guessing you can't and all Dacia want is to fleece you out of your hard earned cash. A starter battery is a consumable, thus is should be able to be replaced by any competent person without issue. Ofcoure I could have opted to pay £250 to Dacia to supply and fit a new battery and wait days to fit me in and be left without transport and loose pay because I couldn't get to work, but hey that's fine by them because all they give a stuff about is taking your money, and how do I know that when they do the diagnostics they'll claim the issue/s is something other than just the battery needing to be registered to the vehicle? I don't, they could potentially claim all sorts of rubbish. What is happening to this world, there is no protection for consumers. You just have to hand over your money and take a gamble all the time.

Buying a new Dacia

I had a really positive experience sourcing and buying my new Bigster.
The salesperson Mark, was excellent throughout, good clear communication and did everything that was asked. The car arrived within the timeframe provided and having just driven the car home I am very pleased with the quality and driving experience.

£16995 / two days later worth around £7k

Don’t buy they charge you £16995 for a spring expression 65. Two day later it’s worth £7k it’s like a tin of Heinz baked beans mixed with a retro vibe from the 80s of big buttons, and manual back windows. The wheels look like they are going to fall off. It really is a disgrace how you are hoodwinking the customer into thinking they are getting a cheap but practical car to save money. Unfortunately I don’t feel safe driving it and wonder the outcome of crash test dummies from a slight knock! Thanks Dacia for a piece of absolute s#*!

Gearbox failed on brand new Jogger wont provide loan car

My Brand new lease Jogger (hybrid extreme auto version) is only just over a year old (only 16000 on the clock) and has had it's gearbox condemned due to metal fragments floating around in it. Dacia are not giving any timescale on repair other than to say it will be at least well into January (currently 11th Dec) and they won't provide a vehicle during this time even though this is a known fault with the model and it's covered under warranty. DO NOT lease/buy a Dacia Jogger!!

Misleading

DACIA SERVICE CENTRE complete waste of time
I have contacted EMaC and Dacia Romford who have both informed me that my service plan does not include the 1st MOT that you stated it did
They also informed me the 36 months service plan should be £9.99 per month not £13.99 a month that you charged me.
EMaC suggest you cancel the service plan I have at the moment and start a new one at £9.99 pm. As soon as possible.
If you do not sort this out quickly I will contact the ombudsman because I have been misled and over charged this is the Fourth Vehicle I have purchased from Dacia in the last 7year so consider my self a good customer, your department have been no help at all in the matter and just keep misleading me

One star revue again, as no return telephone call

One star revue again
Well Dacia, it's such a shame that you make a sensational vehicle yet have such a crap aftersales help centre. I left a revue the other day. Having not got to the bottom of my sat nav problem, the email reply just stopped. I decided to contact them on the whatsapp as setup by Dacia, it was arranged a representative would call today between 11am and mid day, it is now 1.30pm so obviously that is not going to happen, as you are unable to talk to technical the problem wont get resolved, I was directed to the sat nav manufacturer who said they can not help, and suggested the dealer, have already been round in circles , this now will stop me buying a new Dacia, they are as bad as Fords and they are a absolute disgrace, whera's I had been recommending Dacia to every one I talk to, now , it will be don't dont buy one if you want back up, you have really let yourselves down, not even addressing even one bad revue on here and that will go round faster than any good reviews, and you have 126 of one star, However word goes round.

Con merchants!!! Warranty is useless

I have a stepway 73 plate which has been great and done 20k miles. It has developed an annoying rattling noise from the boot and as it is under warranty I booked it in today. Firstly the next appointment they have is 22 January next year then they want to charge £20 per day for a courtesy car and finally have said that it will cost £180 if they feel the fault is not covered by their warranty.
What a con!!!!
The cars may be cheaper than others but if they develop a problem it is more than likely going to cost you an arm and a leg, even if you have a warranty and you will have to wait a long time for it to be seen
Avoid the hassle, go to more reputable companies.

Coolant pump failure on a young Dacia…

Was reliable until the coolant pump failure on my 3.75 year old Dacia Sandero Stepway of less than 30K miles. All the Coolant leaked out quickly, which could of potentially caused a lot more damage to the engine.
And poor after warranty support from the dealership, which could only offer me recovery time of one week later and repair at dealership prices. Had to get an independent garage which recovered my vehicle and repaired fault within 2 days, at reasonable cost.
More recent problem,
Rheostat(heater blower resistor) keeps burning out, badly designed!
