I bought my Dacia Sandero three years ago and have done just over 30,000 miles. The car itself has been reliable with no serious problems. The issue is with the service plan. I paid for 3 annu... See more

Richard O'Neil great sales man…
Richard O'Neil great sales man explained everything I needed to know, good service when collection date came he was throurogh but quick with all the paperwork I needed needed to sign. He was always available when I needed to ask questions and worked hard to get my car during the half term to work around my job. I'm on my 3rd DACIA from Bristol Street Bradford and highly recommend the whole team .
Bad experience
Bad experience, car fine until first MOT / service as warranty ran out, came back with wipers, heater/fan not working, lights would not switch off in sunshine, etc, Had to pay repair cost, part covered by Dacia, but cannot get the faulty parts to have tested, clearly not fit for purpose, only done 6k miles now Dacia refuse to answer, wrote the Renault CEO no reply, if you want good after sales service don't choose Dacia!!
Not a happy camper Dacia holdcraft Stoke-on-Trent
I purchased my Dacia duster December 2023 With Renault holdcraft lime kiln bank Stoke on Trent.
Mileage on clock 7000 mileage I've put on is 13000
From the start I loved my car, I work in community, so was both easy to drive and economical
On 7th October 2024 I noticed a smell of burning coming from my engine.
I called the garage to be told they couldn’t help till thw 2n̈d December 2024 I felt I was expected to drive around in it for nearly 6 weeks , snd was told there was nothing they could do
I contacted Dacia Uk to be told to call “Dacia assistance” which I did, they were concerned about me driving the car as unsure as to problem but he felt it could be clutch.
He followed me down to Renault in Hanley.
My biggest concern was the attitude of Dacia telling me it was the way I drive (burnt out clutch) I’ve been driving since I was 17 I'm 43 now. I've had numerous cars and NEVER burnt out a clutch, ny dad is also an ex cop and driving instructor, and he would of told me off!! I
To add insult to injury I was told by Dacia uk, as well as a staff member in Renault (well it could have been from the previous owner )
That little problem of now costing me £1925.02, the fact they couldn’t get me in till the 2nd December, yet it was fixed the day after I dropped it off.
The help and outcome I received, I felt was below the standard you could/would expect from a big dealership.
The good, the bad and the downright indifferent. Sandero Stepway since…
Have owned a Sandero Stepway since 2022, bought new from Evans Halshaw Durham. Had an issue with a back door filling with water and asked EH to investigate this at first service. They claimed to have done so and found no problem but it persisted and when I pursued this politely with them accused me of being intimidating! I eventually had the problem resolved at another dealership, it took about 20 minutes (after a 7 hour wait) and some common sense, a quality in short supply at EH Durham. Indeed I had to email and push quite hard to get this relatively minor issue seen to and Stoneacre in Darlington, despite me showing them a video of the water pouring from the door, seemed reluctant to do the job. I could actually have done it myself but as it was under warranty I wanted it done by Dacia. In view of the hassle I had with EH Durham, Dacia sent me a £100 voucher but it has proved as difficult to redeem that as it was to get the door issue fixed so I've binned it, just not worth the hassle. Apart from the door issue the car has been excellent but I have no faith in Dacia UK or their dealer network and in the final year of warranty I'm seriously and reluctantly thinking of changing the car due solely to the lousy customer service. Very good car, pity about the dealer back up. Can't do enough for you until you've paid but not interested thereafter.
Came in today for a mot in Renult york…
Came in today for a mot in Renult york (clifton moor) I was looked after by a young man named lewis he was polite welcoming showed me the self service check in and how to do it.offered me coffee kept me up to date with progress of my Duster and was the only member of staff to speak to me in the few hours I was there shout out for lewis wish there was more like you.
Faulty brand new car
I have a 4 week old Dacia Duster. Had to take it back to the dealer already due to issues with the parking camera. Somehow the camera pictures do not match the actual reality of the situation. You might think your perfectly between parking space lines but in reality you are 2 foot over the line and vice versa. The mechanic said there is a definate fault but there is nothing they can do to fix it !! He also said he looked at an identical car in their showroom and it had the exact same fault. How can that even be possible. A 23k car,400 miles on the clock, very troubling issue and I'm told sorry there's nothing we can do. How on earth can it be right. I just wish I could contact Dacia for an explanation or better still some help.
Dacia, Penarth road, Cardiff
Recently traded in my Sandero for a Duster at the Penarth road, Cardiff branch. The service was brilliant especially Adam W. We kept in contact via email or phone and nothing was ever too much for him. Even when I asked stupid questions he gave 100% efforts. Definitely will be asking Adam to be my sales advisor when I return at renewal time. The car itself is lovely, runs like a dream.
Dodgy deceitful Dacia!
In July 2022 we purchased a brand new Dacia Duster Prestige 4x4 dci 1.5. We traded two outstanding Suzuki cars, one 9yrs the other 5yrs old. We were told by the branch manager (Stoneacre) vehicle was UNIQUE!!? and it most definitely was. An ex demonstrated vehicle at a fair price £22,500. Reasons for a new vehicle was, avoided second hand problems, warranty and bigger more refined vehicle.
More or less straight away we had ongoing maintenance and running issues. Briefly I’ll list.
1. Both back doors held water which eventually puddled in car.
2. Both back electric windows worked intermittently.
3. Multi media/sat nav screen would go completely blank.
4. Blind spot warning would constantly illuminate especially at night.
5. Windscreen scratches easily from wiper blades.
6. Engine cooling fan came on for no reason, wouldn’t go off unless restarted engine.
7. Constant whine from engine systems.
8. Annoying rattling from near side front.
9. Gurgling and spluttering from adblue system.
10. Keyless stop/start erratic.
I may have missed some other minor issues, but above is unacceptable on so many levels.
The dealer was disinterested and unprofessional. We felt dealership disbelief in our experience and concerns. Dealership even pointed out that Dacia UK were aware of some problems.
To sum up.
A unreliable cheap product not fit for purpose.Dealership that couldn’t be bothered or even cared. Non existent customer support or appreciation.
Dacia…. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
After 2yrs, 17,000mls we got rid and purchased a 2024 Suzuki SCross.

Don't be fooled by the Dacia warranty
Don't be fooled by the Dacia warranty. It's not worth the paper it's written on. I had my Jogger for 18 months (22 plate) and it had 20,000 miles on the clock. After being asked to bring it in for a software recall that could affect changing gear I was told the rivets had sheared on the clutch but this wasn't under warranty as it was driver error. The garage sent pictures of the clutch which wasn't worn so how they can justify failure of rivets on driver error is beyond me, and not a question they were able to answer. I was left carless and out of pocket by several thousand. DO NOT buy a Dacia car would be my advice.
Outrageous practice: charging for switching off a light!
I've just had my Dacia Logan serviced and Motd at a garage local to me. I'd used Dacia dealers since I bought the car 3 years ago. However I moved house and didn't want a 40 mile round trip. The local garage found it couldn't turn off the service warning light. On contacting Dacia they said they could do it but it would cost me £35 for the privilege. This is clearly outrageous. Older Dacia cars don't have this problem. The company is stopping consumers from exercising choice when it comes to servicing. They said my local garage could download the software but refused to say how much this would cost
I bought my Dacia jogger in August…
I bought my Dacia jogger in August 2022. It has gone wrong 6 times with either the clutch/gearbox/flywheel. The customer service from Dacia has been totally and utterly awful. I would NOT recommend this company. They don't listen and don't give a damn. I am in the process of rejection. They don't appear to have any common sense. Surely when a car has gone wrong that many times - the sensible thing to do would be to take the car back - strip it down and investigate the root of the problem instead of fixing it and it goes wrong again. Whilst this is being done give the customer a completely different brand new car to replace it or give the customer their money back to make up for all the hassle the customer has experienced. But NO Dacia dig their heels in and don't listen to a very cross and frustrated customer who is giving a negative public review. Apparently they 'have a process to follow'!

Cant praise the county garage group in Barnstaple enough.
Just bought my second new Dacia from them in 4 years.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff, particularly Jon, who always goes above and beyond.
Little point in writing this .....
Little point in writing this as Dacia and its "dodgy dealers" clearly ignore every word that's written but it might make me feel better!
We bought a new Duster in April 2022 after having owned 2 previously from new without any serious issues. Within 12 months the clutch went, the dealer blamed this on "driver style" and completely ignored the fact that the same driver had completed nearly 200,000 miles on the previous 2 cars without a problem. Most companies would have stepped in at this point but not "good old"Dacia who simply said that they can only act on their dealer's recommendations. Clutch repaired at cost of £2,500 despite my protestations. Within a few weeks of this repair, all sort of engine lights appeared - finally diagnosed as a "pinched" wire that was shorting out. Few months more and the same symptoms appeared but worse - Dacia agreed to replace the whole wiring loom which was brittle!
The end I thought - oh how wrong I was! After 2 years - April this year - a faulty gearbox was diagnosed!! Dacia agreed to replace but it took 11 weeks although we did have a small courtesy car for that period.
The dealer (Sutton Park Motors) and Dacia refuse to accept that the car is not fit for purpose but clearly it is. Given that previous cars were perfectly OK and the number of reviews on Google with similar issues, it's hard to come to any conclusion other than to think that the build and component quality must have dropped dramatically over the last 3-4 years.
BTW, don't waste your time on major issues with the motor ombudsman as they're funded by the motor trade for the motor trade!
SEAT BELT
Any dacia sandero stepway owners have any problems with where their seat bet sits on them mines very near strangles me
DACIA JOGGER
I purchased ex demonstrator Jogger from dealership. Had problems with thd gearbox that others have highlighted was in dealership for FIVE MONTHS waiting for two bits of plastic from France. Finally got it back two weeks ago, last night had to be towed in by RAC as yhe alternator gone. Both this after only 26,000 miles. My previous Logan had 142,000 on the clock, never any problems and still going strong. Customer service of little use, company clearly not interested. Will rid of ASAP and never touch Dacia again or recommend to anyone. Great shame as I aways had a lot of time for them. Reading the reviews can see why 1 star appears the chosen one, I wonder if Dacia management read them?
New Duster
Thought I'd read a few of the reviews on here, after doing so, I was motivated to put on one of my own.
I bought my first Duster 7 years ago. It was a Lauriate Black diesel 4x4, and I loved it. Never had any problems with it. Always had the service and MOTs done where I bought it at Dacia Bolton. Just today, I've picked up my new Duster Extreme. Got lots of editions my old one didn't have, not 4x4 unfortunately but can't have everything. I'm looking forward to years of carefree motoring. My gratitude goes to Neil Hassall, for getting me the car I wanted. Thanks Neil.
Dacia jogger gear box problem
We have a new Dacia jogger .it is a manual 2023 model
It seems many of them have had the same problem with the gear box . Took months to get repaired and the driving experience was dangerous as the problem evolved .
I feel they should have contacted us to have it checked once they were getting this issue as a common problem .
Great service and very nice staff
