The quality of the house and its surrounding property was excellent. We enjoyed our three-week stay immensely in a well-equipped, clean environment that was conveniently located just a short walk from the store and the beach.
However, our experience with DanCenter and its staff, with the exception of the technician who visited the house, was completely unacceptable. They were rude, unprofessional, and incompetent, demonstrating a blatant unwillingness to assist us with even the simplest requests. I strongly advise against using DanCenter for rentals and would urge others to avoid this company altogether.

I booked through dancenter for the first time this year and seeing the reviews online, we were worried.
But we had a GREAT time. Everything was clean, in place and it was so easy to get there and have our key handed over. Then it was like staying at home.
We were in Søndervig Feriecenter. The sand sculptures are amazing, the beach is seriously beautiful with sand so fine, we don't have to go to Turkey anymore.
Don't worry about DanCenter or DanLand. Go ahead and book. They are very helpful, too.

We have rent a house trought Dancenter/Belvilla to Croatia, the house is wonderful, cleaning is perfect and all the information you can find in the booking.
I recomand the house Villa Mima from Banjole Croatia, very close to the sea, very large and clean pool.
Everythink is included in the price.

Booked through booking.com, I was informed additional charges may occur. In the messages I had been informed that I will be charged for usage of water and electricity. I was also informed I can pay extra for cleaning. I opted out, thinking I will clean myself. When arrived to the home, there was a „leaflet” on the table that only specified basic things like starting and emptying the dishwasher, taking the trash out, putting blinds up and so on. Since this was our first time renting through Dancenter (and probably the last), I assume this is the cleaning they refer to and the actual vacuuming and sanitation is included in the price we already paid. We left the house after filling in the usage of water and electricity, and didn’t think twice. I actually never received the bill, and I honestly forgot about it. Until three months later when I get a text message that I owe 1800dkk. Shocked, I have contacted them and received bot like email back, that the property wasn’t cleaned and I was charged with the cleaning fee. I then tried to ask for details, explaining that I can not see any list for cleaning or any information regarding what needed to be cleaned. I have not received any proper information other than a threat they will forward me to debt collectors. I also tried calling the customer service and contacting local email - no help whatsoever. I believe that according to under EU consumer protection laws I should be provided with clear, time-stamped proof that additional cleaning expectations were shared in advance.
Now the communication from their side stopped despite me still trying.

I was frustrated and disappointed not to find the keys. I arrived a few minutes after 5 PM when the reception was closed. I used the code to get my keys, but unfurtunately I coud not find it. I called the number at the +491603394400 more than 15 times but no body answered. My little children were hungry and crying, I was outside for 2 hours. Really bad service.
I dont like the idea of recording water, heat and electricity to be my responsibility. It should be your responsibility as well.
Apart from that its a nice place, I enjoyed my stay with family

DanCenter is not a danish company any longer.
So if you have a problem, you will have to call a callcenter in Delhi, India.
So you have to deal with bad service, and before this, the Callcenter is in a different time zone. They will also change you for ekstra cleaning, even though you left the house nice, clean and tidy.

Edit: seems Dancenter is faster at replying here than over direct contact. Since you mention the late fee was waived, can you please also answer to the original question?
We had an ok stay in Northern Sjaelland in February 2025 but the communication with Dancenter has been awful. We booked via Airbnb and I dont know if this complexity has made it so impossible - there is the owner of the house, Dancenter and Airbnb all involved and therefore answers to any questions are impossible to get. The latest one is still ongoing: you are required to pay the electricity/heating/water (on quite premium rates I might add) after your stay. Ok, fair enough as this was mentioned beforehand. We reported the numbers on the Dancenter website as requested according to the instructions but then got an invoice for a different (higher amount anyway). Because of this, I asked their customer service to explain why the numbers were different but heard nothing back - until another letter weeks later to tell me they are now adding late fees to my bill. To which I answered I was still waiting for the response - only to be slapped with more late fees. I dont think I have experienced much worse customer service...

Nice, sweet house we enjoyed very much. Not extremely clean but doable. Shame the car must be in the garden. The neighbour was quite specific about the way it should be parked. And drove by our house with high speed sometimes - not so nice.

Lovely cottage in a lovely environment. Very quit and deer in the backyard. The garden is however not sealed as mentioned so with our dog we had to improvise. However overall a lovely spot to stad.

We liked the appartment very much. It was above expectations. The space, the environment, the equipment, beds, everything was fine. The help desk was very friendly and helpful to our questions.
What we did not like was the cleaning charge of € 139 (!) afterwards. Ridiculous, because we left the appartment spotless. Of course we have paid the bill, we had to. Therefore we will consider to avoid to book a Dancenter house in the future. We don't want to be surprised with extra unnecessary costs.

I enjoyed the stay and holiday itself very much. However, after the stay extra costs were charged. This was like 6 weeks later or so without proper explanation. When I asked to explain it took a long time, communication was difficult and sometimes I found it even intimidating. For me this has ruïned the overall experience and I will never book with this company again.

The house was lovely but Dancenter were terrible to deal with and I would avoid booking one of their properties again.
They add loads of extra charges, these were more than advertised because they hadn’t updated their website so although we were aware of the charges they were more than expected. Afterwards they then duplicate charged my credit card, and although they agreed they needed to refund me they then never did - I kept arguing with their AI that would say they were processing a refund but then would come back and question it. In the end I had to get the refund through my credit card company.
Difficult to deal with and would not recommend.

Really bad experience two years in a row. They kept requesting payment months after the trip, either for amounts that had already been paid or were never agreed upon at the time of booking. I won’t make the mistake of booking through them a third time.

⚠️ Be cautious when booking holiday houses with them ⚠️
I received an invoice of 1,100 DKK for so-called "cleaning" after my stay. The place was already left in a clean condition, but they claimed there was “peanut-sized dust on the floor” and charged for unnecessary cleaning.
They seem to inspect the house after checkout with a microscope to find any excuse to bill extra — and the invoice came 3 weeks after checkout. Very unfair and unprofessional practice.
If you plan your holiday, stay away from them unless you want surprise bills long after your trip. Bilagsnr. 668678
