Exceptional Renting Agency - Newcastle upon Tyne

I’ve been renting with Daniel Craig Residential for the last three years.
It has always been a pleasant experience!

Quick to respond to requests and the odd maintenance jobs. Easy to communicate with and always professional. A big thank you to Robbie Griffin (property manager) and Karen Wildsmith (maintenance) for the exceptional work.

AWFULL.

AWFULL.
Maybe if you are a landlord renting a property through them, they are kissing your feet. BUT, if you are a potential tenant trying to rent, My God, be prepared to an awfull experience.
I visited a property and I applied right away, because I have to leave my current property at the end of the month. I exchanged emails with Hannah and Kate (both honestly so kind, but useless), sending documents to proof everything (right to rent, income and work reference, etc) I been very clear: Is there ANYTHING ELSE you need from me. The response was no, I will pass this to the owner and I will let you know. 1 day, 2 days, 12 days... i called to check for an update. Another different agent took the call, and they started to book a view !! I told her, please i visited the property, i applied and I am still waiting for a response. Can you please check? hold on again...OH we need your proof of income...Are you sure?? ok. I sent the proof of employment again and my income directly from HR in my company and then, later...OHHH Sorry, we are waiting for your current landlord reference, I sent it days ago and never been responded. Checked with my landlord, they never got the request (I have to say about my old landlord, they are so professional, they always responded right away to all my rent enquiries with other properties) so, i requested the "pending" information and they replied 5 seconds later (that means that daniel craig staff never requested that before) and the response was...we have new views so you have to wait until next week. Excuse me?? I applied 13 days ago, you told me that nothing else is being required, and you told me that my info IS ALREADY with the owner...Long story short, i been waiting several days for this people to do nothing. And they did not get any action according THEIR delay to try to support me. If you are looking for a serious place to rent with, i really do not know if this people is the correct option.

Unfortunately I can't reply to the answer. Check again because the agent was waiting for the view and were no more than 10 min due to my nav system.
All the other info in my file is incorrect. I been applying and providing the info right away. Your staff told me there is no more necessary info from me AND told me that the file was completed and in the way to owner...AND 13 DAYS LATER I been asked for info and documents ALREADY sent AND THEN for the request for my references from my current landlord. SO, HONESTLY THE outcome was just frustrating. You will be continuing in the activity, I'm just warning the potential tenants about what to expect from you.

I am sorry that you felt you have been let down by the service you have received. I have reviewed the notes on your file and I would ask you to re-consider your review.

On your appointment to view the property you were 30 minutes late and the member of staff waited behind to allow you to view the property - re-arranging other appointments to facilitate this. I feel this demonstrates a desire to help from the outset.

After viewing the property you made an application, we request all information to be submitted to us before we can put your application to your landlord. You submitted your application on the 7th June and we requested your landlord reference on the 11th June. This reference was chased directly by you on the 20th June, they apologised for the delay but had missed the original request. They then sent your reference that same day which completed your application file.

On Thursday the 20th June, the same day we received your completed application, we submitted your application to the landlord for their decision. You were advised the landlord was considering the application but on Monday 24th June you withdrew your application.

There appears to have been some confusion around you having provided all of the information we needed from you, this was true but did not mean we had your references back from other parties, we simply did not need any further information from you.

I appreciate you were under pressure and tight timescales but we did everything we could to try and process the application for you and you have our sincerest apologies for any confusion caused. I wish you luck with your next application and hope that with the above explanation you consider amending or deleting the review.

Great negotiation skills and market knowledge.

I have a rental property in Longbenton and due to a big hike on my mortgage's interest rate, I had no option to consider putting the rent up. However, I did not know how to put it through to my good tenants. Daniel Craig's dedicated skilled negotiatiors were able to implement the increase by making the tenants part of the discussions, making them engage and feel part of the decision.
The other thing as well is the good knowledge on the local market in terms of potential rental and sell income.
I would recommend Daniel Craig to Landlords like me for sure.

Highly commendable service from Daniel…

Highly commendable service from Daniel Craig as a letting agent. As a landlord you feel assured and satisfied that tenants are well vetted and your property is always looked after. Any repairs or maintenance that needs doing is carried out properly by reliable workmen and in a cost effective way.

Great service from first contact…

Great service from first contact through to the ongoing letting support. I’ve found them very easy to work with and can’t fault the service they have provided. They found me a good tenant and have been prompt in resolving any issues, always with good communication and efficient service.

Extremely efficient service.

My partner James has recently purchased a property through Daniel Craig's. Throughout the entire process Emma has been most efficient, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. We found the whole experience of dealing with this company a real pleasure. Nothing was too much trouble. Every telephone call and query we made was dealt with extremely quickly and professionally. Emma and the team are brilliant from the first viewing to the completion date. Thank you all so much, we would have no hesitation in recommending Daniel Craig's.

Daniel Craig Residential - Exremely Unprofessional from tenant's perspective

Extremely bad and disappointing experience dealing with this letting agency. They showed me an old video while finalizing the property from a remote location and the property was in horrible shape when I moved in. They never responded quickly to the concerns raised and We had a stressful initial couple of months in setting up the house. We booked a fully furnished property but the entire furniture was broken and into pieces when we moved. The sofa was broken from the middle, all 4 legs of dining table were into pieces on the ground, the refrigerator glass was punched and pieces were still in the fridge, one side of study table was kept with support from the wall without legs, there were big pieces of the bread behind kitchen slabs, slugs & spiders all over the walls & floor, big rat holes in the bathroom etc. Then just within 2 months of moving into the property out of12 months contract, they started asking for a commitment for next year tenancy extension already rather than focusing on repairing the reported issues first which are still not fixed after 3 months of moving in. Overall such an awful experience and will never recommend this agency to anybody.

Fantastic service. Would highly recommend.

Daniel Craig residential manage my 16 properties in Newcastle city centre. They do a excellent job of keeping on top of tenant requests and are always on hand when I have needed them for advise or assistance. A professional company I would highly recommend.

We are overseas landlords and have had a stressful experience with a previous property manager. Daniel Craig made the transition easy and found us a new tenant very quickly, there communication was efficient and provided us with peace of mind. Would highly recommend them.

Daniel and the team are very professional and friendly, alway go for extra mile for me. Never had any problem dealing with them.
Tenets are always checked and managed to ensure both landlords and tenets are satisfied.

Excellent customer service with very…

Excellent customer service with very friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. They have successfully found new tenants with a quick turn around ensuring my property has always been let with no loss of rental income. They manage my property for a fair price and I can rely on Daniel Craig to look after my property. I would highly recommend them to any landlord.
