HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I bought my dress from them and gave it in for alteration and never heard back! Closer to my wedding date, I kept calling but was told everyone was too busy to talk to me and that someone will eventually call back… no one did! In the end, I had to buy another dress from a different shop just a week before my wedding !!!
They contacted me after 6 months to apologise for keeping my dress but refused to give me any compensation or a refund!
Braehead, Glasgow - Kayra was fantastic in helping us find…
Kayra was fantastic in helping us find the perfect junior bridesmaid dress. She took the time to understand our style and colour needs for the dress and the shoes. She went above and beyond to ensure the dress we purchased off the shelf was immaculate. Kayra was friendly but not pushy, and most of all she helped us find exactly what we were looking for
Ruined my dress
If you want your wedding dress ruined, by all means, let davids bridal touch it. If you want to feel belittled and unappreciated, go for it. Save your time, money, and sanity and go anywhere else! I was charged more than the price of my dress to have it ruined and made unwearable without hundreds of dollars of repairs from someone I could trust. I was blamed for their poor work and they had the audacity to try to get me to pay for further alterations through them. Then rushed me to sign to take my dress. Working on getting a refund which they keep fighting because THEY MAKE YOU PAY BEFORE THEY RUIN YOUR DRESS! Then they tell your bank that you authorized the payment. What a clever way to cover your tracks David's Bridal. Don't fall for it.

This is in reply to "Go Here For A Good Cry" in Novi, MI. I am the mother of the bride whose fiance wrote this review, I was with her when she picked out her wedding gown and at every fitting appointment. I have something else to add and that is either the fitters do not write clear instructions or the seamstress does not read them either way there is a lack of communication - call the client if there are any questions!! Her gown was supposed to have the sheer sleeve around the bicep instead it is straps going over her shoulders which is not what she wants - this was pointed out at both fittings. They offered to "fix it" but could they really be trusted to make it right as it was ready 9 days before her wedding? Choosing a wedding gown is one of the most special days in a girls life and this experience was extremely disappointing. Even though her gown is not the way she wanted it she is going to be a beautiful bride!!! It seems to me that businesses don't have the integrity they use to and nowadays expect a client to "just settle". You only get married the 1st time once and that experience should be very magical!!!
Unethical Business Practices
I was sold one of the most awful dresses I've ever tried on, didn't look anything like the picture. I tried to return it and they won't let me print a return label and there's no way to contact them. Also, they say on their website that if I don't return it within 3 days, I don't get a refund- I'd love to know how that's even possible if I had a return label. Disgusting.
Go Here For A Good Cry
Firstly, my fiance left this location crying 3 out of the 4 times she was there. Why you ask? Because every time she was there she was called fat, asked multiple times a visit if she has gained weight, and had some of the most unprofessional help we've ever witnessed. The first time she was asked if she gained weight was when they screwed up her dress alterations so badly that the dress wasn't even a few inches close to zipping around her chest. I don't know about you, but without rib cage expansion surgery your rib cage doesn't gain several inches in 2 months. This is when we found out that the alterations were done by someone with "a broken tape measure". Talk about incompetency. Then a new round of dress try ons and fat name calling and more unprofessional people. Then we get to her final visit to pick up her new dress a week before the wedding. The dress doesn't zip up right away and once again they ask if she gained weight and got fat. They didn't even have the dress positioned properly, once they readjusted it to how it should fit, it zipped right up with no issues. Now I don't know about you but clearly, David's Bridal of Novi, has no idea how to treat brides properly. There are so many other ways to go about fixing issues and treating customers, but yet, they messed it up every single step of the way. DO NOT go here unless you need a good cry.
Wonderful experience at Davids Bridal

Non-existent customer service
I live in a rural area and I care for my elderly mom so online was my primary option for a mother of the bride dress. I ordered 3 dresses from David's Bridal. One worked so I started the return process for the other two. This same week, I had to put my mom on hospice. I forgot about the return until the day before my cutoff for returning -- I ran to UPS and got the dresses off in the nick of time. About two weeks later, I received an email that my return had been received but the refund was not even the amount of one dress (one was $129 and the other was $399) - the amount of my refund was $113. I responded to the email and received a response that my tracking information was required. After no less than 20 emails and phone calls and providing an actual email from UPS with all of the shipping/receiving/confirmation/who signed, etc. I FINALLY received the rest of my refund almost two months later. I would call and request a supervisor and be advised my call had been 'escalated' and someone would call me back. No supervisor ever called me back - I would just get another email telling me I hadn't provided sufficient information. It was ridiculous - I will never shop there again.
Thanking Taylor for her professional help.
I came into the David's Bridal store on University Drive NW in Huntsville, AL looking for a dress for our grandson's wedding in October. The two ladies behind the counter greeted us politely and Taylor helped me with finding just the right dress. Taylor was polite, professional and kind. It was an enjoyable experience and I'll recommend this store to my friends.
Wrong dress ordered!
My daughter and maid of honor picked up maid of honor dress on Aug 1 2022. They went to return for a different color and noticed wrong style dress was ordered. Jeffery an Heather said they never make mistakes like they are God perfect. Refused to give a refund because they made the mistake. The said new dress will not be here until after wedding. They said we are stupid we did order right dress showed picture when we tried on it is not the same. Do not shop at the David's in Slidell, La you can override you choose not to! Very rude and unprofessional. Argued the whole time back.
Thanks Zun
I literally popped in to David’s bridal in Westfield Stratford city , not expecting to see a dress I liked , let alone get someone to help me choose it . Zun was amazing ; she had half hour before seeing another customer and she pulled out all the stops to make me feel special … I now have the most beautiful dress, perfect for my wedding in Sorrento next year and as an “older bride (2nd time round)” I feel so great to have rung the “yes to the dress” bell … so thanks Zun
Thanks Emma!
Emma at the David's bridal on Steele St. in Tacoma WA is the bomb! So sweet, patient, with an incredible eye :) We're so thankful for her!

Rita is your girl at the Birmingham store!!!
I went to the Birmingham Store to get my dress that I bought in 2019 altered. Rita, a lovely lovely lady who altered from dress and assisted me during my first and last fitting was amazing!!! She was really really helpful and suggested things that will make wearing my dress for my wedding so much more comfortable! Thank you so much Rita and Davids! Xxxx

I had such a brilliant experience at David's Bridal Birmingham (UK). From start to finish all the staff were so helpful and approachable, and managed to fit me in for a last minute appointment. My consultant Kate was incredible - she made me feel so comfortable and was very professional but also so honest, warm and friendly. She took in every bit of information I gave her and found me multiple dresses which were exactly what I was looking for! There's a huge range of styles and budgets and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience or with the dress. Thank you Kate and David's Bridal!
Disappointing customer Service Online
I have been waiting for a refund for over a month. In the past two weeks, I have called and texted many customer service representatives and no one can figure out to get me my refund. All I get is passed on to the next person. I would not recommend them as far as online purchasing.
Awful experience
I have never before left a review (either good or bad), but after such a dreadful and upsetting experience I feel I have been left with no choice but to…
Myself, my mum and my four bridesmaids went shopping at David’s Bridal in Stratford, London. We had the best day and couldn’t believe how many styles and colours were available. Once we had picked their dresses, our consultant measured the girls up. Three of them were happy with their sizes but one of the girls tried to explain she had never been this size before and thought she needed a smaller size - they ignored her and ordered the size 16 anyway telling her this was for the best.
Months later the dresses finally arrived, so we arranged a time for all of the girls to come over a few weeks later and try their dresses on together / have a seamstress do alterations. Three fit perfectly and just needed to be shortened, but the fourth one… way too big! And yep you guessed it, the one we had asked to be ordered in a smaller size.
I phoned the store and was told there was nothing they could do because the dresses had been with me for over 14 days… A, this was never explained to me when purchasing the dresses and B, who is able to get friends together from all over the country within 14 days of dresses arriving!?
After a long conversation explaining how we had queried this size when it was ordered, they told me if the bridesmaid can go into store they will help her. So she travelled over two hours to go into store for an appointment with the manager. What a waste of a day and money this ended up being…
To cut a long story short, the customer service was non existent. The manager started arguing with my bridesmaid and told her there is nothing they can do even though they could see the dress was TWO sizes too big! I cannot believe David’s Bridal wouldn’t do anything to help us, especially as we spent a lot of money on four dresses.
They first told us we could buy it again in a size 12 from Glasgow, but when I phoned this store they didn’t have it in a 12 so it’s a good job we didn’t pay and order this in. It then came to light it wasn’t even the manager she was speaking to, despite specifically being told come into store and we’ll make you an appointment with the manager. They told us dresses can be altered to become two sizes smaller so we asked for this to be done - we were quoted over £240 which is more than the dress itself! When we asked to speak with our consultant we were told she no longer works here, coincidence I think not. The old saying ‘the customer is always right’ could not be further from the truth when it comes to this store. Their dresses aren’t even finished to a high standard on closer inspection too.
We now have one bridesmaid with a dress that doesn’t fit her in anyway whatsoever and have been left to feel completely under appreciated. The amount of care, respect and understanding shown to us was zero. I have never had such an upsetting experience and been made to feel so worthless. I certainly won’t recommend them any more.. It’s also a shame as the four bridesmaids were all going to go there for their own weddings, so a lot of business has just been lost.
GREAT
We had a Amazing experience at Davids Bridal in Hurst,TX. Thank You Jevar for taking such good care of us while we were there. And of course, I said YES to the Dress....

Brides please don’t ruin your experience by going here!
My experience is with the Stratford store.
I originally went here to try on wedding dresses but didn’t find anything. The fitting was rushed and shared between three other brides and the assistant kept opening my changing room door fully when I had 0 clothes on in front of the other brides and families.
I have 5 bridesmaids and when I was there for my wedding dress fitting I spotted a bridesmaid dress I really liked. I only went back to David’s for this specific dress and if I hadn’t of liked it so much I would never have used them.
I took 4/5 of my bridesmaids to a bridesmaid appointment and we got an assistant on her first week of joining the store. I understand she was new but they shouldn’t let staff with 0 training run fittings by themselves. I asked for the dress I had seen and the assistant didn’t have any understanding about this dress, said it wasn’t a David’s dress (I’d seen it in that same store), and said we couldn’t try it. One of my bridesmaids asked another member of staff for the dress and it materialised within minutes. I asked her a couple of other questions and she couldn’t answer any. She kept going missing for 30+ minutes at a time and every time either myself or one of my bridesmaids went out looking for some help she was in the corner chatting to a colleague. We needed different necklines on this dress which David’s offered but the new staff member didn’t understand and kept bringing me different sizes.
Trying to actually buy the dresses was also a nightmare as the new member of staff didn’t understand sizing and had no clue how to do the checkout process. In the end another member of staff had to do it. The new member off staff promised that my dresses would all arrive together and I could visit the store *once* to collect them all as I am not local to Stratford.
I get a call about 4 weeks later to say 1 of my dresses is in store and if I wanted it I needed to come and collect within 2 weeks or it would be going back. I explained I couldn’t collect in those 2 weeks (I wasn’t even in the country and they gave me no notice) and I was told I’d have to pay £15 per dress per delivery if I wish to get it posted. I had no choice and paid it.
3 days later I get a call to say another dress is in store and same rules apply. I explained I was told they would all arrive together but nobody was interested. I had to pay a further £15 delivery.
A couple days later I get a missed call from David’s. I ring them immediately back. I get through to the rudest customer service I have ever encountered in my life. This woman was sucking her teeth through the phone, talking over me, being rude. I explained that I had a missed call and that I think a dress is in store. The woman told me ‘you’d get an email if that was the case so stop ringing’ I had never rung before in my life!! I said can you please check that a dress isn’t in store because I may have someone who can collect today if it is. She shouted over me, said she ‘didn’t want’ to check and that there’d be an email if it was here and staff would NOT ring me if my dress was there. It wasn’t worth the argument going forward. Also note, I have never once received an email to say my dresses have arrived it has always been over a telephone call.
The very next day I get a call from David’s to say, yes, another dress was indeed in store and I’d have to pay a further £15. I said no, I wouldn’t have ordered the dresses had I known I’d be paying an extra £75 on top of the £900 I’d already spent and I had specifically asked that question on if they’d arrive together or not. Also, yesterday I had someone who would have collected for free!! I was blatantly lied to to get the sale in the first place. After much back and forth the manager finally got involved and said they were having ‘staff training issues’ and that on this one occasion they would cover the postage cost on further dresses and send them all to me in one go. Ok. Fine.
Fast forward a week to today and my MIL is in Stratford Westfields and therefore can pick up the dress that is in store while she’s there. I ring the store to confirm that this is OK and get through to someone rude again (of course!) and said they can’t find my dresses, can’t find my on the system, they’d have to ring me back in an hour. I said I just want to know if my MIL can come in or not. She shouted, ‘I’ll ring you back in 50 minutes!!!’ And hung up on me.
I’ve lost all interest at this point and David’s have ruined every experience possible at this point. Horrendous company and such rude staff!!
Oh, this also doesn’t include the time I was a bridesmaid for someone else and David’s sent the completely wrong dress 3 weeks before the wedding.

Wedding is already stressful enough to deal additionally deal with wrong order being delivered less than 1 month before the event. Wedding dress being in the size smaller. Bridesmaids dresses arrived having mismatched models. Would not recommend. All information provided in the London store are not reliable.
