Nataleigh Logan at Daivsons Law, was a delight to work with on my property purchase. She was super professional but also very patient and friendly to work with, Nataleigh always answered my emails and questions promptly and was always pushing forward to get to completion asap. I really couldn’t recommend her enough.

Thamanna took care of the sale of our house and purchase on the new one, she was great and easy to deal with and would definitely recommend and use again. I nearly didn’t give 5 stars because the people purchasing our house slowed everything to an almost unbelievable level making the whole process a painful one. This was obviously not Thamanna’s fault and she do everything she could to get the job done even offering to work in her personal time to get the sale completed in time for mortgage offers.

Having seen Davisons standard response to all negative reviews (we don’t have any details about this and don’t recognize you- despite all of the clients giving very specific details with names and dates) I called them and said my elderly mother no longer wanted them to call. They went right ahead and called the next day trying to arrange an appointment for her to use the services anyway.
And see now the response below- I rest my case.

I instructed Davisons Law in late 2024 for the purchase of a property in Birmingham, following a recommendation from the estate agent.
Unfortunately, the experience proved significantly more stressful than it should have been. Communication regarding progress and outstanding enquiries was often unclear, and a change of conveyancer mid-transaction appeared to slow momentum at a critical stage. I did not have any direct introductory conversation with either conveyancer handling the file, which made it difficult to feel a sense of clarity or continuity during what is a substantial financial commitment.
The purchase was time-sensitive due to an imminent stamp duty change and my own professional commitments, making responsiveness and transparency especially important. When I raised concerns about progress and timelines, the firm chose to cease acting on my behalf, citing a breakdown in trust and confidence.
Being disengaged at that stage created significant uncertainty and very nearly caused the transaction to collapse. Only the patience of the seller allowed the matter to ultimately proceed. The stress during that period was considerable.
What I found most disappointing was the absence of any meaningful acknowledgement of the concerns raised or attempt to resolve matters before the retainer was terminated.
Since then, I have used another firm for conveyancing and experienced a noticeably higher standard of proactive communication, transparency and client care. The difference was clear.
Every client’s experience may differ, but for anyone involved in a time-critical transaction, careful consideration is advisable. Consistency, openness and constructive engagement when concerns are raised are fundamental to the service.

I can’t thank Nataleigh Logan enough for the support she gave me while purchasing my home. From start to finish, she was incredibly helpful, patient, and reassuring. She took the time to explain everything clearly, always kept me updated, and was quick to respond whenever I had questions or concerns. Buying a house can be overwhelming, but Nataleigh made the whole process feel much less stressful and far more manageable. I genuinely felt supported throughout and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a solicitor they can trust.

Absolutely dreadful Company, avoid at all costs!
We used the Leamington branch in the sale and purchase of properties. A catalogue of errors is what we experienced. They took a £500 up front payment from us and then down the line asked for £330 to obtain a “sales pack” from the management company that ran the management of our new build. I payed by return of their email link to add the funds to our account. Several weeks later, and a further hold up to our sale, I found out that Davisons had not even applied for the “sales pack”! This caused further stress and delays. Our sale/purchase involved just 3 people. Our buyers were first time buyers and our vendor was purchasing an unoccupied house, it should have been very straightforward. Following this, was one delay after another! As we neared exchange of contracts we were sent our mortgage redemption statement, well, when I say this it was not ours at all! They emailed us the redemption statement and personal details of another sale that they were dealing with which just happened to be some neighbours of ours! I was totally shocked and reported back to them immediately that they had breached GDPR!
Davisons were completely flippant about their behaviour and from there on our solicitor completely blanked us and left her assistant to deal with our case. 3 months down the line, we have received an email advising that the Land Registry has not accepted our witness signature and requested that we get the forms signed again to re-submit. I called and emailed and have not had a response following leaving 2 voicemails at their office to be called! I have this evening spoken to their compliance manger who is totally dismissive, rude and arrogant, telling me that if the assistant is away from her desk he will just leave her a message to get back to me at her availability!
Can this company get any worse? Watch this space!

Nadia was excellent throughout the sale of our 2 properties. Easy to communicate with. Would recommend Davison's Law.

Do not recommend. Communication was poor and I frequently had to chase things multiple times to get any kind of response. The overall timeline and process was not made clear at all. On more than one occasion, I had to specifically request that a question be referred to a supervisor for a response when the initial answers were either dismissive, or it became clear that the conveyancer did not understand the issue. I would suggest you avoid if you want to have a house purchase go through in a timely fashion as they really do not care and that attitude was quite clear throughout the seven month timeline I faced as a first time buyer with no chain.

Incredibly poor service, taking nearly a year to complete help to buy redemption and transfer of equity. Despite multiple reminders failed to complete lifetime ISA paperwork which could have cost me nearly £7k. Complaint system rectified the issue (took Oct-Jan to rectify) and offered insulting compensation. We had a very simple legal request with no chain that should have taken a maximum of three months and they repeatedly failed to follow client instructions over the course of a year.
Edit post response: It surprises me little that they 'cannot find my complaint', as poor attention to detail was a consistent theme.

Davisons law helped me through my first home purchase. They were freindly, easy to contact and quick to respond. Big thank you to Thamanna!

Purchased 2 flats in January 2023 and was forced to hire the "seller's" solicitor. I questioned whether if this raised any conflict of interest, I was told no. Years later, I have found that the construction had no funding, company was in debt and was involved in fraudulent activities. All marketing materials were lies. When I asked Davisons to represent me and help me out of this scam, they said there is a conflict of interest because they represent the sellers in the first place. - Yasemin I.

Excellent service from start to finish dealing with the sale of our property. A big shout out to Belinda Pucci and her team who went above and beyond to ensure it went through efficiently. I would highly recommend.

I would advise staying away until Davisons have altered their ways of working. While the purchase of my first home did eventually go through, the process involved sifting through dozens and dozens of emails and calls littered with mistakes, lack of attention to detail, confusing communication and culminating in my exchange being delayed by two weeks after I had already transferred funds, due to bad organisation and miscommunication on the part of Davisons, with the associated loss of interest on my funds.

I’ve completed a sale and purchase with Davisons Law (Leamington Spa) and, while the legal work got done as expected, the overall experience was frustrating and well below what you’d expect for the fees (which are above average).
I’m fully aware that conveyancing in England/Wales is an antiquated process that desperately needs reform. That isn’t the fault of any one firm. However, the lack of modernisation, the reliance on paper/post (when it often isn’t necessary), and the constant “waiting on someone else” makes the whole process feel needlessly slow and inefficient in 2026.
A basic AI could handle most of the paper-pushing and document checking, but the industry has little incentive to modernise because a centralised, streamlined system would make a lot of what they do redundant — and plenty of people (particularly legal assistants) would quickly be out of a job.
That said, even within a broken system, customer service still matters — and this is where Davisons fell short. Communication was minimal, proactive updates simply didn’t exist, and it often felt like we were an inconvenience rather than a client.
Over roughly four months, I spoke to the solicitors on the phone maybe a handful of times, and most contact felt reactive rather than supportive.
What makes this worse is that basic automation could remove a huge amount of stress for both customers and the firm. Something as simple as an automated email every couple of days — even if it just says “no change since the last update” — would reassure customers that their case is being monitored and things are happening. Instead, Davisons felt extremely old-school in how they communicate, which left us chasing for clarity.
The main reason for this review, though, is one particular member of staff who was consistently rude and condescending. From day one, the tone was dismissive and immediately put us on the wrong foot — as if we shouldn’t be asking questions or requesting updates. This happened on multiple calls, to the point where she actually corrected herself and apologised for her tone more than once.
Keeping in mind that during the entire 4-month(ish) process we probably spoke to them on the phone only 5–6 times (give or take), at one point she said:
“You being on the phone to me now is stopping me from doing the work…”
That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable in a client-facing role and set the wrong tone throughout. She should either be kept on a leash or, hidden behind a screen and prevented from speaking to customers altogether.
Overall: the job got done, but the service was poor. Don’t expect proactive updates — you’ll need to chase. And if you get the legal assistant on the other end of the phone/email, don’t expect the interaction to be a pleasant one.
It’s also worth noting that I personally did a lot of the chasing for Davisons Law, as I happened to be in direct contact with both the purchasers of our property and the owners/developer of the property we were buying. On a few occasions I asked what they were waiting on, got the answer, then simply picked up the phone and obtained whatever nonsense document was required. I’d receive it immediately and then pass it on to Davisons. Given the fee, they should be doing that — not me. Expect to do some of your own legwork if you want things to move along in good time.
I wouldn’t choose to use Davisons Law again.

I have had unfortunately had an awful experience with the conveyancing section of Davisons' law, and believe they operate a predatory charging model.
I received an initial quote from Davisons, which I accepted, however was then invoiced several hundreds pounds more than the quote. At no point had I authorised any of these charges. Many of the charges were for services that were not required, and entirely unreasonable, such as a 'Stamp Duty calculation fee' (no stamp duty was payable) and an extra charge for new homes, which had never been agreed. When I challenged this, the response from the solicitor was rude, no apology was given but eventually some of the costs were waived. To ensure the sale went through, I accepted this.
The company have then been exceptionally poor at progressing the registration of my property with HM land Registry. HMLR advised they contacted Davisons' on multiple occasions and received no response. None of my emails were responded to and the helpline for existing customers was not answered. Eventually, the case was picked up by the complaints team. Davisons' delays, and those of the Land Registry, meant I was advised I was unable to remortgage with anyone except my existing bank, adding more cost and stress.
During the formal complaints process, Davisons' refunded a further cost I was incorrectly charged for- yet extraordinarily failed to provide any compensation or apology for the way in which I have been charged. They then refused to escalate the case to management. After significant contact, they did apologise, accept and offer compensation for the registration issue.
My experience of the firm is that it systemically attempts to overcharge its customers, to see how much it can get away with and is completely inept at completing the most basic legal tasks. I'd strongly encourage anyone to avoid using Davisons'.

I appreciate other people may have had a good experience with this firm but mine is completely different.
I hired Davisons to do my conveyancing based on a recommendation from the developer who was building my property. It was a Big mistake.
First they missed my exchange date of 08-01-2026. They didn't send me the legal documents until very late that afternoon, with no apology or reason for the delay. To this day they still haven't actually acknowledged the delay. As the legal documents weren't familiar to me it took some time to read through and digest over 100 pages across four separate documents. I took an unplanned day off work the following day after receiving and spent all day reviewing and providing my feedback. They had all feedback for start of business the following Monday 12-01-2026. I didn't hear from them so chased on the Thursday 15-01-2026. It was clear none of my feedback had been reviewed or actioned and that my chase up prompted that. I would have expected them to react quickly considering they had missed the original exchange date. The developer also had to chase them as a bunch of feedback needed to be put to them. The solicitor handing my case then responded to me and the developer.
I had to take another unplanned day off work the following day to review and issue my further comments.
The developer extended the exchange date by two weeks. It was very clear late on Friday 16-01-2026 there was far to much to still be done for me to exchange. I raised my concerns to Davisons that I wasn't happy with the service, which the solicitor didn't like. I then raised a formal complaint. I wasn't rude, didn't swear or insult anyone but felt I was in my right to raise the concerns. Wouldn't you? They will obviously try to deflect any blame and will try to say I was unprofessional in my attitude. But surely I have the right to voice my concerns with such poor service in relation to such an important change in my life.
Davisons then sent me an email two days before the extended exchange date informing me that they were no longer prepared to represent me. They had the cheek to say it wasn't right to be put under undue pressure. Two days before the exchange date!! I thought this was totally unprofessional and disgusting to let me down in that way.
It meant the property I had reserved was then made available again by the developer for others to buy. In their eyes I had missed two exchange dates. But through no fault of my own. I had based my future on exchanging and I felt Davisons had disregarded that without any consideration of where it left me and the plans I had made.
As I said above, I appreciate others may have had a different experience. But I would strongly suggest people tread with caution because if this can happen to me it could happen to you. You could be the one next time being let down at the last minute and having your future plans ruined. And if you are, then irrespective of all the people who have been happy with the service it will be you who’s the one to lose out. Can you afford to take the chance? Beware people.
UPDATE 02-02-2026: complaint reference number and my full name sent to Davisons in a secure message. Complaint raised 19-01-2026. Account Handler was the person I was complaining about as well as Davisons as a firm. Unfortunately, I cannot accept any apologies for this experience as it has ruined my life and my future plans. An apology just isn't sufficient.

We are in the process of moving home.
We used these on the recommendation of our estate agent.
To start with they were really good at setting and signing us up very promptly and quickly.
After that things slowed down and we are having to chase up at every stage.
When you phone the solicitor he says he will review our file sometime this week! Which is not good enough if we realised how bad they were we would have cancelled but are to far along to cancel and start again.
These people are paid a lot of money for a poor service there is no urgency what so ever. We will never use them again if you are reading try somebody else they can’t be any worse.
