DayBreakHotels sold us a 9-6am 'day…
DayBreakHotels sold us a 9-6am 'day room' at the Hyatt Centric in Miami Beach. When we arrived at 9.20am we were initially told there was no reservation on the system, then they managed to find the reservation from DayBreakHotels but they said had no rooms available currently, but would have one ready 'soon'. They kept saying 'soon' and we were eventually allocated a room at 11:30am. I contacted DayBreakHotels customer services who said it's not their fault if Hyatt don't update their system with real-time availability and Hyatt said it's not their fault if customers book through a third party. Basically customer caught in the middle and no one taking responsibility for selling a room that didn't exist.

An excellent experience
An excellent experience. Very accommodating and would return, ideal for travelers with families or those looking for somewhere to stay overnight for a work trip. 10/10.
Good experience with the hotel
I had a positive experience with the property, and the customer care assistance was instrumental in retrieving my reservation ID.
Super Useful
I booked a room for my work trip. The website was intuitive, and I liked that the credit card was not needed for my reservation. I highly recommend DayBreak, it was the perfect solution for me.
Room not available. Useless
Room was not available since the hotel was fully booked. Now my wife and young child are stranded at a lounge at LAX.
This company has one job - book rooms. And it fails at that. This makes their existence 100% useless.
I would not recommend using their services since there is no guarantee of a room when you need it.
Terrible!

Call hotel to make sure you have a booking…
Booked a day use at LAX airport hotel through this website.
We wanted to check in earlier, but when we called the hotel, they couldn’t find the booking. We were told the booking didn’t exist.
Fortunately we could cancel the Daybreak booking without penalty when we were told by Hilton that the booking didn’t exist.
Then booked another day hotel through another reputable company.

In short: DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE WITH THIS FRAUDULENT WEBSITE.
They don’t deserve any stars at all but unfortunately there’s no option for this. I had booked a Day use hotel through daybreaks, received the confirmation and everything. Upon arrival at the hotel, I gave my booking name and number, they were unable to find the booking, I showed them the email confirmation and they checked, even the manager came out to check it but still no luck. I was then told there is no booking confirmed.
Luckily, the hotel staff were nice and said they will check if there is any availability as I have travelled from south London and the inconvenience caused by daybreaks. There was a room but we had to wait a while as it was being cleaned.
Our check in to our existing room was at 9am however due to this problem and the wait for the new room, we got our room at 10.30am. We had to wait an hour and a half due to this inconvenience and paid slightly more than the original daybreaks booking.
Daybreak seem as though they are a fake and fraudulent company who probably receive commission from these bookings but fail to deliver. Please avoid at all costs if you don’t want the same problems I faced.

This worked great, with a little follow-up
This worked great, by calling the hotel to confirm. On a whim, I did a web search for 'day use' hotels. daybreakhotels.com was one of the options listed. It had a good selection of hotels in my area. I booked a day use stay for that same day. But, because I wasn't familiar with the service, I called the hotel directly a couple hours later and gave them the confirmation number that I had received. At first, they had trouble finding the reservation. But, after explaining that it was a day use reservation and that it was made by a third party, they happily confirmed the reservation. We had a great room, a great rate and a great time.
If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
When I arrived at the hotel, not only had they not heard of DayBreakHotels but they couldn’t find my “confirmed reservation”. I’m watching my credit card to see if I get charged.
Complete scam.
Update 11/20/23:
More than a YEAR later, DayBreakHotels tried to get this review removed and said it was invalid for containing harmful or illegal content, which is only harmful to their business model. They have horrible customer service and did not appropriately address my concerns, or perhaps I could have updated my review to be positive. I have phoned the hotel I used and the person at the front desk has never heard of DayBreakHotels.
Do not use under ANY circumstance.

Let down twice!
I have made 2 bookings through DayBreaksHotels.com and both times they did not inform the hotel of my booking so they were not expecting me.
Appalling Lack of Customer Care. Disjointed and unreliable.
I emailed this company to find out if their rooms were available for day bookings under the current level of coronavirus restrictions (since no overnight stay involved). After ignoring my first email (not the only one they ignored) and having chased them up, they told me that, "the hotels you see bookable are accessible to all customers". Reassured by their email, I made a reservation. I subsequently received an email saying, "we are writing regarding your reservation for the hotel above. The hotel just informed us that you can use the room just if you are key workers."
Why didn't they check with the hotel before they advised me incorrectly? It was the whole point of emailing them in the first place. I even went to the trouble of sending them the link to the exact hotel I was enquiring about.
