Booked up a flu jab with this pharmacy, took time off work to attend. Turned up for my jab and 1 minute before my appointment they sent me a text to cancel the appointment. When I asked at the recepti... See more

Terrible Pharmacy
Terrible Pharmacy, Newport Isle of Wight.
96 Methotrexate prescribed, only given 24.
Two people checked this, no they hadn’t run out, they just didn’t bother to read the prescription properly.
Staff member actually called my husband a liar when he questioned them on something.
This is not the first time they’ve got my medication wrong, they once gave me sleeping pills instead of Antacids.
They will literally be the death of someone
Poor service for repeat prescriptions
Overworked staff, who are not delivering prescriptions on time, leaving elderly patients without their medication.
Unhelpful message on the phone, which needs to be updated to reflect longer times for delivery of repeat prescriptions.
They need to consider how best to meet the needs of their customers.
Good pharmacy, efficient and knowledgeable staff
My local Day Lewis pharmacy is good, I don't know what people are complaining about, I wanted to write this review to counterbalance. Staff are friendly and helpful when you're looking for something to help with a health condition even if you're not entirely sure what you need. It feels like they really care. They always have multiple options available - different brands and different medications to treat the same problem and at different price points. I haven't collected prescriptions from here before but my family have and they've had no problems
Chaos this morning at Day Lewis Haworth…
Chaos this morning at Day Lewis pharmacy in Haworth. Was sixth in queue - 15 minutes before served. When I eventually made it to the front of the queue I was told they only got my prescription yesterday so would take a few minutes. Six behind me in queue. Three staff incl pharmacist behind the counter. Woman came in and complained thst her husband had waited 40 minutes but some of his prescription was missing. Took a further 20 minutes before I got my meds - in store around 35-40 minutes. Said I would go to a different pharmacy in future and the reply I got was "that's fine"!
Slow service
Need to call 3 days before collecting already approved prescription but phone never answered. Attend pharmacy to be told about phoning then have to wait half hour for prescription.
Every week day Lewis mess up my…
Every week day Lewis mess up my medicines I'm an OAP who placed an order last week they were finally delivered yesterday and because I suffer COPD I needed a rescue pack and low and behold the steroids were missing Day Lewis said they were ordered I rang my doctors and they said they was not ordered I rang the chemist back I got so distressed I wrote a complaint to head office which I hope they answer this time the staff at High Street South Norwood se25 are aggressive and totally unacceptable
Disappointed
Visited today, they didn’t stock either cotton wool or antiseptic wipes (although they nearly sold me kitchen ones!). Everyone too busy to serve, so after waiting 5 mins and being ignored I walked out and bought all I needed from the small Tesco down the road.
Staff are very rude on the phone and in…
Staff are very rude on the phone and in the chemist. Plus you have to wait over 25 minutes for the prescription because it's never ready.
Short staffed so not open when expected…
Went to pick up a repeat prescription on a Wednesday. Ravenswood branch was shut due to short staff at lunchtime. So went back by next day. My prescription wasn't ready and pharmacist was busy so told to come back after lunch. Left it a day and went back at 8.45am. They should have opened at 8.30am. But as there was no pharmacist a note said they would not be opening until 9.00am even though the other staff were all there. Customer service was rubbish. So I've changed my preferred pharmacy to Boots.
Waited 47 mins for 1 item
Waited 47 mins for 1 item, if you must use this totally incompetent pharmacy please take a packed lunch and a large bag of hope, that you may get your medication and it may all be there.
Extremely poor customer service
I took me 63 attempts to get through to my local Pharmacy (Foxhole, Paighton, Devon) each of the calls either went directly to "the Pharmacist is busy at the moment" or went to this message after ringing out for about a minute.
This in itself is extremely poor customer service, either
1. They do not have enough staff.
2. Phones are ignored in preference of customer instore
3. They just don’t care.
Trying to get through to them is only the middle of my problems. A prescription was sent electronically from Foxhole Surgery on 19th March. On 3rd April I am still awaiting this.
Can a prescription really take over 2 weeks to be prepared?
Is it really OK that in this day and age that once a doctor has said that a patient needs a course of treatment that over 2 weeks can go by before the patient can even start to take the necessary medication perscribed?
Could this be one of the reasons that hospitals are overwhelmed, people are being left to get far worse by the very people who are supposed to be the “first port of call”
I like to support my local shops
I like to support my local shops, so chose Day Lewis at Barton, Torquay for my prescription and whilst in there I often bought other items. When I went to collect my prescription last week I was kept waiting 10 minutes whilst they looked for the it, without any explanation of the problem. Eventually telling me they had not got the item. On enquiry she couldn't tell me why they hadn't got it, nor if they would be getting it in. Very poor service. On return several days later - they now say they haven't received the prescription from my GP, in spite of being shown it on my previous visit.
In addition, I was appalled to see a politically motivated notice on the wall about prescription charges being a tax which people in Scotland and Wales don't pay.
I will no longer support them, but will go further to another pharmacy.
Inefficient Brixham pharmacy
Day lewis in Brixham has to be the most INEFFICIENT USELESS PHARMACY in the South West at least 10 day wait for repeat prescriptions always left with items owing, .told prescription was ready on Friday went to collect on Monday left standng 35mins in shop while they tried to find it only to be told could not be found but will deliver it later that afternoon ,you guest it never arrived so Tuesday another visit to pharmacy still no idea what they were doing was told the delivery message was not passed on laughably by the young assistant who had told me on Monday that it would be deliverd also told i can go elsewhere absolutely no customer care from her totally rude if i could give less than one star ratng for customer service i would
Day Lewis Pharmacy In Crisis
I chose this as my nominated local pharmacy in Marchwood, but they are incredibly unreliable. Having take time off on Friday from work to pick up a prescription, I turn up to find that the pharmacy had closed early due to staff shortages. I did the same again today on a Monday, turned up at 14:15 to find, yet again a note advising that the pharmacy was closed for the afternoon due to staff shortages.
I've now completely run out of the medication the repeat prescription is for, placing my health at risk.
A great job Day Lewis pharmacy - never available when needed!
Suffice to say, I have now nominated another chain of pharmacies for my repeat prescriptions. Hopefully, I'll have my much needed medication soon, no thanks to Day Lewis Pharmacy.
Could organise a P up in a brewery
Made an appointment to see a pharmacist as could not get doctors appointment and need antibiotics. Left work early, turn up 5 minutes before appointment to be told the pharmacist has a day off - despite making an appointment and receiving email confirmation. JOKE
Worst of the lot
Worst of the lot , rude , uncaring and downright useless .
Excellent service
Doena is always very welcoming and ready to help whenever I am in Day Lewis Gipsy Road, always has a friendly attitude and always in good spirits. She is a very valuable asset to your company and I wish her all the best.
I've been calling for weeks
I've been calling for weeks. I blocked my caller ID, and guess what? They answered.
Only to be lied to again. We are supposed to respect them, they don't care about us. NHS! You are PUBLIC SERVANTS, DO YOUR JOB.
AVOID Day Lewis Pharmacy Finchampstead…
AVOID Day Lewis Pharmacy Finchampstead Berkshire. They service is truly appalling. They fail to answer their telephone and should you e-mail them they ignore your e-mails.
I am sure Martin Lewis of MSE will be featuring this company at some point following his current review of companies that provide poor telephone service.
Useless Day Lewis Brixham.
Think Day Lewis Brixham will be top of the table of the useless day lewis chain.2 week wait for prescriptions...certain rude, arrogant staff members, including the deputy manager. If you dare complain told to go elsewhere as they are too busy, what a joke of a so called pharacy.ÀVOID and use Boots across the road.i have.
