We are all so quick to bash companies…

We are all so quick to bash companies for bad service ( human nature I guess ) but not very many people actually say anything when the service has been good.
I have been using the Day Lewis pharmacy in Twyford, Berkshire for about a decade now, impeccable service, staff are friendly, the Pharmacist ( boss) is exceptional, regularly goes out of his way to help in whatever way he can. I cannot fault them - getting hit by shoplifters, police don’t even turn up, staff being threatened and at times it’s super busy in the shop - but always excellent service. Credit where credit is due. 10/10

At around 5 pm on Wednesday 14th August…

At around 5 pm on Wednesday 14th August I entered the Sedbury branch to seek some medical advice as there is a huge poster suggesting to visit a pharmacy before seeing a GP displayed on their window and asked to see the pharmacist and when the pharmacist arrived, I asked to be seen in the consultation room as I did not want to discuss my problem publicly which the pharmacist blatantly refused resulting in me, walking out of the pharmacy. I do not think the pharmacist deserves her licence to practice as she showed no interest in helping a patient hence I am no longer considering Day Lewis. Pharmacy but a grocery store.

DO NOT USE THIPLACE

Umm not sure where I should begin !!! Went to get mine and my partners medication that had been placed on to the cloud since 8th July at 15:00 [Confirmed by My Doctor]
Went in to Day Lewis Pharmacy and spoke to a lady I have not seen their before, Passed her my phone with my partners Name, D.O.B and NHS number [By the way font size 24 in Samsung Notes so big enough that someone elderly or with bad eye sight can see without glasses on]
The lady said their is nothing on the system or the cloud, I was then told to call my doctor as they may of approved it but not sent it out basically implying that my doctor and doctor surgery is incompetent.
So I called my doctors and spoke to a lovely lady in the out of hours department and she said I dont have full acces but I will check what I can for you. She asked for the D.O.B and name and said yes its on the cloud and was approved on the 8th July at 15:00 I then called Tesco in Guildford and spoke to the pharmacist that I want to mention took only rings to answer so already a winner with that.
He said I can see this and would you like me to have it ready for today as told him these tablets are urgently needed.
He said of course I can but we close at 8pm so could you get here by then He also said its been on the cloud since the 08/07/24 same as the out of hours lady said. he said if you start driving here now Ill do my best to have it ready before you arrive for you,
I then asked for my medication and she said yes I can see your prescriptions and I'll get these ready for you.
I did not think to check the items before leaving but they only gave me 2 out of 6 items the doctor sent over to them.
What a JOKE of a Pharmacy and staff that don't know what they are doing,
While the first lady was sorting out my
Prescription a different lady came over and I asked if she can check for my partners tablet and her reply was it wont be there as my colleague has already checked even though I said the doctors have just confirmed it has been sent and to be honest the way she spoke to me and her body language was disgraceful.
Just shows how rude staff are and the fact they was telling me lies when 2 other people have said it is their.
This happened on 11/07/24 at 18:36 I will 110% never return to this place again.
I work in a customer facing role and have also been a security office so know this is an unexpectable way to treat members of the public!
I do not like being spoken to like this and never once spoke to anyone including shoplifters this way.
They clearly need to train all their staff some customer service skills,
Please don't use this Pharmacy as they will only lie and not provided you with all your medication and blame your doctors

Totally unreliable

Totally unreliable. Used the app to reorder prescription and still waiting 2 weeks later for any sign. Usually I would call a few days after ordering and then they would decide to order the prescription for the next day. So I thought I would test the system and it totally doesn’t work. I called today and was told it might be in shortly. I suspect they ordered just after the call

Day - Lewis jokers

I have the same pain relief all the time and due to the doctors being a bit slow in signing it off, ( recently moved to Cornwall, so things slowly coming across from London). Went to the newly ex- boots( who were amazing btw) and due to the doctor putting the brand name rather than the name of the pain killer, the chemist ( CHI in Commercial st TR14) has refused to give me them as they have run out, even though I said it was fine ( no pain relief for nearly 4 days) she made me sit there as she carried on walking around, though she said she was going to call the day Lewis down the road to make sure they had them but didn’t. I sat there for nearly 20 mins.Stick with boots or a chemist that hasn’t been taken over by this shame of a company !!

My local pharmacy had previously had issues, new staff things got much better lady with tattoo's was brilliant, she has now gone and you get nothing but rudeness, hate to think what would happen if I needed my prescription straight away, told no text medication not ready or waiting for stock, customer service skills are 0/10

Disgusting way to run a company

I have my prescription delivered and despite having ordered my medication 3 weeks previously I still had not received it. I tried ringing multiple times but was told to ring back later,(a recorded message). I was out of 3 meds and would be out of 3 more by Sunday. I had to go into the chemist today (Friday) and they then made my prescription up. When I would have received my order if I had not picked it up, heaven only knows.
They always blame being short staffed but I never see them advertising for staff.
Disgusting way to run a company.

Used local Day Lewis in Wood Street

Used local Day Lewis in Wood Street, Walthamstow for 8 years. Recent change of management and has disintegrated- poor service, withdrawal of services without any notice, rude, surly, obstructive. Shelves are getting bare, they have "difficulties" getting medicines. Every sign that this company is going bust

Now I understand what the Day in Day lewis is for . This has to be the worst run chemists in the country. Slow and inefficient is being kind . 45 minutes to wait for an off the shelf med and they had the prescription for 3 days in advance .Sheer greed and understaffed . DO NOT USE THIS EMBARRASSMENT OF A COMPANY THEY ARE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

In a word...Painful

Chaos in a word. Disorganised.
No system.
Writing down info on scrap paper.
Came for pain killers for nerve pain. Stood for 50minutes waiting for a prescription they had received 6 days ago.
Pharmacy full of people all waiting for 50 mins plus.
Another private company taking the life out of our NHS. It's a disgrace. Can't rely on the post office to deliver so have no choice but to suffer the scramble for vital medication....if it's in stock at all. Why is it so bad Mr.Patel?

I was not given the full prescription. 28 tablets short, and was given a chit to return to the pharmacy in" a few days".
That means another long wait. So yet another shortage of drugs. In the the time I was waiting this shoryage of drugs resulting in incomplete prescriptions was very common.
I could see concern registered by several customers, especially older folk, over the situation.
Outstandingly bad.
It's 2024 not 1924!

Extremely unhelpful and rude.

Extremely unhelpful and rude.

I was "handled" by three different staff, all made the same questions again.

I went to collect an emergency prescription and was treated with suspicion as if I was a drug addict (to metformin ;-) LOL).

Terrible Pharmacy

Terrible Pharmacy, Newport Isle of Wight.
96 Methotrexate prescribed, only given 24.
Two people checked this, no they hadn’t run out, they just didn’t bother to read the prescription properly.
Staff member actually called my husband a liar when he questioned them on something.
This is not the first time they’ve got my medication wrong, they once gave me sleeping pills instead of Antacids.
They will literally be the death of someone
