Staff awesome, van awesome. Highly recommended
£69.95 for a 21 reg Volkswagen Transporter for the day. Absolutely awesome. The Wrexham branch staff were friendly, courteous, professional. The van itself was a dream to drive and atttacted attention from people asking where I rented it from and how much. Returned the following morning with no issues and no worries whatsoever. Will use again and I highly recommend.

I waited 40 minutes to give the keys back. They didn't tell me anything about the petrol. They charged me £120 for giving it with low petrol. I am sure that the petrol for the car wouldn't even cost this much. (Haverforwest)

Thank you for the additional information which I have now had the opportunity to consider. Firstly, I would ask you to refer to your rental agreement as I have done. Here you will find you were not charged £120.00 for fuel, you were charged £58.98. This is because you returned the vehicle empty of fuel. I refer you to your rental agreement, Section 12 (b), where it clearly states that the hirer pays for all fuel used. Your wife hired the vehicle, and you were added as an extra driver. Your wife also took out damage excess waiver, along with insurance and with fuel charges, perhaps this is where you arrive at your quoted figure. I would remind you that on the return of the vehicle you had the opportunity to refuel the vehicle yourself, though advised our staff you did not have the money to do this. It was reported that you were very upset when you learnt you would be charged for the fuel you used.
In respect of the delay you encountered returning the vehicle, I’m aware you did have to wait until the customer in front of you had been served, though an offer to have the vehicle checked in by a co-worker was subsequently rejected by yourself.
Importantly though, I was saddened to hear that when the vehicle was handed over to you at the start of the hire, your demeanour was described as unpleasant, to the point where you accused one of our staff of being a racist when asked to provide proof of ID. A passport was suggested as an acceptable form of such, to which you took offence. All drivers of our vehicles are required to provide identification, so this is a reasonable request to make and equally reasonable option to suggest as we would with any customer. We do not take lightly, to having staff subjected to accusations of racism by customers and hope that you, having time to reflect, will agree that this is not an acceptable form of behaviour.

We have used Day's Rental in Aberystwyth many times now. We run an events business and following our vehicle breaking down in 2019 leaving us without a vehicle and 2020 leaving us without income to fix it, it was a worry how we would get back on the road when things opened up again in 2021. Mark at Day's Rental in Aberystywth was an absolute star, he managed to sort the size of vehicle we needed out very quickly since it wasn't in stock, he is always super friendly, efficient, and helpful, and has arranged all our future bookings for us. All in, this has helped save our business going forward in 2021 and we couldn't have done it without the help of Day's Rental. Would recommend Mark and Day's Rental Aberystywth any time.

Every time I need a vehicle
Every time I need a vehicle, Tara at the Cardiff depo is brilliant. Nothing too much trouble, even if it means arranging a vehicle from another depo for me, she does it. Met Tony at the Swansea branch this time and he was great too.

First time using Days Rental
First time renting a car with Days in Gorseinon and I couldn't fault the service. Served by Tony Bowen who was really helpful and efficient in getting everything set up for me.
I'm not sure of the name of the man who served me when I dropped the car back today but he was also great.
Lovely car which was perfect for what I needed.
Will definitely use again and would recommend.

I regularly rent vehicles to collect my son and drop him back to his mum's. All the staff are helpful with Warren and Dave worth a mention, but usually Tony serves me and i can't recall him ever being anything other efficient and professional with the right ammount of personal chat and always friendly.

I am extremely grateful to Days Rental and to the very friendly and helpful staff at the Avonmouth branch.
We had another hire company cancel our minibus just a day before our holiday and Days Rental came to our rescue and were able to find us a replacement minibus at extremely short notice.
The bus they provided was in very good clean condition and had obviously been well looked after.
The staff at Avonmouth went out of their way to make sure we had a replacement bus ready to go.
I highly recommend Days Hire Avonmouth and will definitely be using them again.

Booked a van online and was confirmed then changed
Booked a van online and was confirmed, then a hour before planned collection, was called by depot to say earliest would be 4 hours after I needed the van.
Diabolical attitude from the depot, couldn't care less that the website allowed us to book.
I would have assumed that in this day and age if you book something online then it must be available, apparently not with Days.

Thank you for your review though disappointing to hear. Having investigated and now with the opportunity to respond, we received your booking enquiry at 9.57am on the 16th August for you to collect a vehicle one hour later at 11.00am. We note your review is critical of our online booking platform.
Importantly and to set the context, when using on our online booking platform, your booking is only a request until confirmed by the branch that provides the vehicle. Within 15 minutes of your request being received, our Newport branch attempted to email you, but this bounced back. We then called you to explain that the van could not be supplied until after your requested time. You became frustrated at this and while you describe our staff to have displayed a ‘diabolical attitude’, we strongly refute we were unprofessional in the way we responded.
Regarding your view that the booking was confirmed. The wording below is taken directly from the booking platform you used and which you received. It states very clearly, this.
‘This is NOT a confirmed booking or acceptance of a reservation at this stage, you will be contacted by one of our dedicated booking agents by phone or e-mail during our office hours to confirm your booking and match it with our vehicle availability.’
We did this and explained that we could not accept your booking until later that day, which you felt was unacceptable.
We do our best to serve our customers and it is unfortunate we could not serve you in the time frame you wanted. But in closing and contrary to your stated position, you did not book a vehicle, you instead placed a booking enquiry. It is disappointing to read you suggest otherwise.

Brand new 6-berth Campervan!
We hired a 6-berth Campervan which was brand new! On collecting the van we were given a handover by Dave & Pete who explained the Van had only been driven from the factory to their rental centre - so it was immaculate!!! A huge vehicle for just the two of us but the price was extremely competitive and we had a wonderful time exploring Wales. The only criticism was that because the van was so new there were some snagging issues but nothing that stopped us enjoying the time we spent in it.

An absolutely amazing experience at days motorhome rental. From start to finish the experience was seamless.
The motor home exceeded our expectations when we picked it up and Dave and Pete were a fantastic help. They explained everything and also helped us load our bikes onto the rack.
