Obligatory personal info or money..

Created a user, made an ad to sell my graphics card, and promptly both the user and my ad was removed.

When i asked why, they said it's because i was flagged in a background check or some vague reason. All i needed to do was get Nem-Id validated, and my account would be restored.

Now, nowhere does it say that is required, and i've never swindled anyone or have any bad rep connected to selling anything.

I'm not giving that now-shady site anything they can exploit.

Seems like they want to pull people in, and waste their time unless they commit to them.

2 stars instead of 1, beacuse the site allowed me to do what i wanted although it was hard to avoid paying an absurd amount of money for a damn headline.

All in all, a bad experience i won't repeat.

Forced pushed unwanted services at a fee

UPD Following on my review and reach out to customer service, DBA has kindly offered to cancel the subscriptions and return to status quo. Much appreciate the understanding and prompt reply.

Today I've chosen to boost some of my 'Basis' (free) articles for sale that would otherwise expire by end of the day.
It was quite clear from the options presented to me (did it via the app) that you could do that by paying something in the range of 5-15 kr for at 'fremhæve annonce'. So, I've done a few of those.

Can you imagine my surprise when later that day I've started receiving notifications to my email about automatic renewal of my articles and invoices for a fee of ca. 99 kr / month each.

The mechanism seems to be as follows: the articles that are due to an expiration today, are offered to be promoted at a heavily discounted price. Once a use is engaged with the service, on the same day the article announcement auto-renews and turns into a new 'Premium' subscription with a range of opted in services at a monthly fee of ca. 106 kr/month.

Nowhere throughout the process did I get a 'heads up' information about the total fee for the service and / or additional services that are 'automatically' coming together with my initial choice on the opt-in basis. If I knew that up-front, I'd never choose to boost my relatively cheap articles to boost. Instead, I'd wait for the buyers to discover them throughout a usual search.

I feel cheated as I've been pushed to buy the services that I didn't originally ask for. I've already contacted Customer Success and am expecting a refund.

Will I ever choose buying extra services on DBA? Most likely not...

A good word of advice to the web UX team at DBA is to make it crystal clear to a user of the exact commitment she is about to make in terms of kr in exchange for a service.

Do not use DBA

Do not use DBA, which is advertised in Denmark.
1. DBA asks the user to be cautious, but doesnt even care to put some restrictions on sellers such as mandatory NEM ID validation etc.
2. DBA readily advertizes that the product can be shipped with GLS service and does not provide any form of security or trade assurance. Which the scammer take good advantage off.
3. The conversation with seller dissapears the moment the seller deletes the ad. And there is no way to trace the seller again.

Unfortunate to say DBA is perfectly designed taking scammers requirement into consideration.

Please read our our security guidelines on DBA. As you will find, we advise all sellers to validate their accounts with their NemID. We cannot force every user to use their NemID, but instead we advise all buyes, to buy from NemID validated sellers, as this will give the buyer a bette security when buying.

It no point to we advertise for any buyer protection, as DBA is no involved in the purchase transaction. GLS is a shipping product, that buyers and seller can use, but does not provide any buyer protection. As you will find in our security guidelines, the only 100% safe way to buy, is by picking up the purchased item directly from the seller.

One a seller deletes an ad, we are obligated to remove the ad and alle related details from the DBA site. If you have any issue and need details from a conversation, this can still be traced, by contacting our CS department.

Never use dba.dk

Worst page i ever visited.
Not only there is alot of fake accounts but the page itself is lagy, My profile became unaccesable, It was complicated to create a new one, the price for the add is too high considering the page is so trash.

The unsafe marketplace

I've used DBA since it was a paper. Now I see they market themselves as a "safe marketplace" and I have to share a recent experience:

I bought goods for nearly 2000 dkk from a user that was NemID verfied. The goods never came, turns out it was a scammer and I lost all my money. The police files a standard report, likely nothing will happen and DBA will do nothing. I even had to ask several times before they deleted the scammer. Mobilepay also wouldn't do anything. It would be SO easy for DBA to implement user reviews/ratings to create trust, but they've chosen not to. Until they take security and trust seriously, a better slogan would be "the unsafe marketplace".

It's impossible to post an ad if you do…

It's impossible to post an ad if you do not verify your NemID account. Do not I understand why I do not have the right to post a normal ad without this nemid? I recomand to search other webiste if you are a foreign, to publish an ad in Denmark.

What the are you doing! you're destroying the platform????
Its impossible to make an advertising without paying. Basic link doesn't work in Crome, Ie, and Firefox.

Hi Johnny- when you place an ad on DBA, it is free as a starting point. If you are charged an amount, it may be due to one of the following:

1. Header on the ad- If you want to insert a regular free ad, the text in the header field should be removed.

2. Selection of packages (Premium,Standard,Budget) - When you enter ads on DBA, you have to choose from 3 different packages. These packages contain different highlighting of your ad. If you do not want this, simply select 'Nej tak, jeg vælger en basisannonce uden tilvalg kr 0,-' ("No thanks, I choose a free basic ad kr 0."), which you will find under the listed packages.

3. Deposit fee in certain categories-There is a fee for some types of ads - Typical more expensive items such as cars.

If you still have a problem posting the ad, as you say that link does not work, then please contact customer service and we will look into the matter: support@dba.dk.

Feel treated like a thief

First of all I have to say that I think dba.dk is a great place to sell/buy cheaper used products and we love to use it even though I was cheated out of 1500 kr by a danish guy who has never send the package to me. The case is in court now but Police told me unofficially that there is almost no chance to get the money back. Lesson learnt. That is why I will only sell and buy with a personal meeting and money in hand or mobilepay.

I understand that because all of those cases dba is very sensitive about the security.

I felt it on my own skin. First I validated my account with a nem id. That was not enough for the dba support. I guess because I have a polish surname then I must be a thief. At least that is the way I felt talking/writing the the support.
They have blocked my account and asked to send picture ID. Which I did.

Yesterday I asked them to delete the account. My husband have already his account so I don't need mine.

They told me that deleting the account is impossible.
The reason from their side is that I have sent the additional picture ID and that it why I can't delete it.What kind of reason is that? Makes no sense. I asked them if I have done anything wrong. Katrine from customer service told me that there is no discussion and she can only make my account inactive.

I don't like companies to have that kind of power over an account I created with my email adress, my nem id and my picture ID.
Keeping all the data for their marketing purposes forever. Also copies of my personal documents.

Also, Katrine from customer service just closed twice the chat on the website without letting me ask more questions. I was not finished asking. I think that was very rude. I never experienced that in other customer service.

Overall very bad experience with customer service. I feel treated like a thief even though I have never done anything wrong.
