Furniture with Prop 65 Cancer and Birth…

Furniture with Prop 65 Cancer and Birth defects warning on them and they do not let customers know. They refused to pay the return shipping and I can't afford to return. I'm looking into opening a civil claim.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. This company is NOT reliable. A brief summary of my experience: I tried to order a futon cover, and then went around and around for days with their customer service department because they struggled to confirm my billing address (it's been the same for 20 years); meanwhile, the charge was clearly visible on my credit card statement, and VISA said there was no problem they could detect. After DCG charged me for the order, they wrote about ten days later to inform me the item was no longer in stock, and then took forever to refund me. I figured we were done. About 2 weeks later they emailed to say the item had arrived in their warehouse and they'd 'accidentally' mailed it to me. This led to another endless round of emails, not to mention their requirement that I go to a UPS drop off to return the item (I figured they'd count it as a loss and let me keep it, given it was their error). I should add, too, that I took a look at the item out of curiosity, and the manufacturing quality was VERY poor. I could have sewn a better quality one myself. Two weeks have passed, UPS has confirmed delivery, and I have yet to receive credit. I'm now in round three of emails with them. I'd estimate I've spent five hours or more sorting out issues with them. Note, too.... They claim 'because of COVID' they can't speak with customers by phone, and thus the ongoing run-around by email. Good luck to anyone who decides to buy something from them. I've never in my life dealt with a company that is so poorly managed.

I gave 3 stars. The wood futon is really nice. Yes, the customer service needs alot of improvement but they did reply to our emails same or next day. Three stars were because of the mattress. We bought a 10". It's too BIG and BULKY for the futon frame. It's HEAVY too. I wish we had ordered the 8". My suggestion to the store is to offer 6"and 8" only. People would be more satisfied with their purchase. My silver color is really a brown too. I am stuck with my mattress now because I can't afford to pay shipping to send back. Final word, 6"or 8" mattress is best and the futon is a beauty! #DannyPresnellNC

futon mattress

I ordered a futon mattress. I found customer service to be very responsive and helpful. I ordered the 10" with foam pads in the middle and cotton on outer layer. Although I would like the fabric liner to be better quality, I think it's great for what I paid. It only took 6 days to be at my door from day of order.

On Tuesday, we established that when I search for "gray futon covers" on your website, "rugby silver" is returned as a result. I'm not picky. I'm furnishing a room with several shades of gray. I ordered it. What I received is definitely brown or taupe that clashes with every gray in the room.

In order to save me the expense of shipping and you the expense of refunding the price of a full mattress, and to stand behind your customer satisfaction guarantee, I asked if you would credit me for an actually gray futon cover from your store-- not ideal for any of us, but the solution with the least negative impact all the way around.

You said you were triple-checking with your warehouse, as you were trying to help me as much as you can in all the ways you are able.

Will you please credit me for an actually gray cover for this not-gray mattress?

We ordered a futon bed

We ordered a futon bed, only because they advertise it's made in the USA. The shipping was fast, but when we got the boxes, they all said, made in Indonesia. I emailed them about this, their reply was, the mattress is made in the USA , but said nothing about the rest of the bed. I emailed them back and said their advertising is false, claiming its made in the USA. If I knew it was made in Indonesia, I never would have bought it.

I wish I would've seen these posts BEFORE placing my order in OCT. The order still has not arrived, nor is there anyone to answer the phones, nor are emails responded to.

I wish I could rate this 0 stars. I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. I ordered through Amazon for my DCG product. I ordered a granite kitchen counter. About 2 weeks after I received the product, unopened, I decided to just get cabinets installed into my kitchen instead of using this. When I went to return the product, I realized that the company does not provide a shipping label, instead, you have to pay for shipping which in my case would be nearly $300 just to ship it back...I tried calling the number, there is an automated line that says they aren't taking calls due to COVID... Upon emailing them, I received very rude service. I asked for a mangers name repeatedly and do not get one. I asked for a number, they continue to give me the number that is not taking calls. I asked for an alternative mangers email-they do not give me one.
They suggested I donate my purchase...Donate a $400 unopened cabinet??? That is crazy.
I would NEVER purchase from here again and wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Not fast shipping but otherwise satisfied.

I ordered a lucite chair for my vanity. One week after I placed my order it had not shipped, so I sent an email asking when it would ship. Later that day I received a shipping notification email, though I never received a direct reply to my email. It took another week for the chair to be delivered (via Fedex). The chair looks exactly as it did in the picture and met all of my expectations. So while I would not say this company provides fast shipping as they advertise on their website, I would consider ordering from them again.

If we could give zero stars we would

If we could give zero stars we would. Sure wish we had seen this site prior to buying a futon and frame. Total junk. The mattress is a lumpy, wrinkled mess and it is impossible to sit on it with any level of comfort. Our complaints are met with "just massage the mattress into shape". That does not solve the problem.
Please do not patronize them. We now have to make a dump run with this crappy mattress.

Worst Company ever

I purchased a futon mattress, it came and in less then 60 days the entire seam opened, DCG doesn't back there products and want me to pay shipping on the new one! That's not acceptable to me! I've email them multiple times and they still do not respond

Don't buy from here

Don't buy from here. Small time scam. I ordered a lamp, I did not receive the lamp in the picture, and they told me it was the manufacturer's fault for providing a different picture.

Excellent!

In May I purchased a leather recliner and Queen Futon with mattress and drawers beneath the wooden frame.
After I purchased my items I was worried due to their reviews, however, I was more than pleased! Alanna, in Customer Service was very prompt in addressing my concerns and was very understanding and kind! I LOVE both of my purchases!

I ordered my futon cover

I ordered my futon cover, and I had received no delivery date. I looked into the reviews after I placed my order, which mostly said they were a bad company to deal with, I became concerned. We called the company and it was a recording. We sent multiple emails. Finally we got a shipping confirmation, and the futon cover arrived a few weeks after placing our order. I am happy with the cover. So they are not bad, they just need to communicate better. Customer service needs improvement, but the product is very nice.

This store is such a farce

This store is such a farce. They pull the bait and switch pitch on you. They had the same product listed as an individual piece without a mattress and as a set which included the mattress. Naturally with different prices. So I ordered the set bc it would be useless without the mattress to me. So I ordered the set and never received a confirmation on the order. Three weeks later I get notice that the order is being shipped and could or could not be the complete order. So I received my order that I thought was a partial order. It included drawers that I did not order and a mattress never came. So a couple of days later I emailed them about the order. I get an answer later that day that said I ordered the unit without the mattress and included a link to mattresses for $300. I replied that I didn’t and clearly there was a mistake and ask how we could get this resolved and I was willing to keep the drawers but I needed the mattress. Again they emailed me a link to mattresses. I replied it would be a cold day in hell when I would order from them again. They also own Futon Creations. Buyers beware!!

Best futon bed I ever had.

Communication was poor and I had no idea when my futon was coming, but when it did in about three weeks, I found it to be the best bed ever. I cannot get my body off this futon. I got the thickest memory foam one with the Cancun sapphire fabric. Sooooo comfy.

This company doesn’t deserve any stars, shop elsewhere!

I gave 1 star but honestly they do not deserve that! I have tried placing 5 orders with the company (nothing special, just a twin black faux leather headboard) all 5 times the items showed in stock on their website. On one of the orders I sent a email before making the purchase asking if they were sure it was in stock. They replied via email (cause you CAN NOT talk to a live person) and said the item WAS in stock. I made the purchase only to be let down with a follow up email that yet again the item ordered was NOT in stock. Buy at your own risk, but honestly I would shop elsewhere!

Incredibly frustrating shopping…

Incredibly frustrating shopping experience. I ended up cancelling my order as the "customer service" would not run my debit card citing fraud prevention even after I corrected my billing address. Support is only provided via email. A real human cannot be contacted via phone. Lazy and frustrating. Try Wayfair or Overstock or Amazon or a garage sale first.

Most Lazy, Unprofessional Company I Have Ever Dealt With (Order DCG273380)

I got a new card number, so the charge didn't go through. They threatened to take me to collections in an email, but the number they provided for me to call and give them the new number.... so easy to do, was out of service. They never owned it and offered the laziest, most unprofessional service I can recall in recent memory.

I have never dealt with a retail company this unprofessional. Don't EVER use them. They are a company that truly deserves to go out of business.
