Started as Wilson Gas in 2006, initially as a sole trader with an old Ford Escort 55 diesel and 100 business cards relayed to an old dial house phone. The vision and mission were clear. We wanted to be the premium local service company that became the household name for people living in the Merseyside Cheshire and North Wales area when their heating or hot water problems should arise. We wanted our people to think of us immediately and choose us as their best option for boiler repairs or installations. The company's name came from the founder and the secretary's children, Darren and Dylan. We started our spare box room inside our family home. The boys were on the floor, under the table, as their mum was working 7 am till 9 pm daily to earn the loyalty and trust we are renowned for. All this while Darren, the dad, was alone on the road, delivering the results and creating the relationships with our customers we still have today. From strength to strength In 2008, we decided to form DD Wilson Sole Traders with a vision that one day, the boys would be able to help Dad and keep the business with our family for centuries to come. In 2018, we formed DDwilson Gas Engineers Ltd and moved into our Big Unit in Knowsley Industrial Park, where we now take on 12 full-time staff, including a gas apprentice and admin apprentice. We're as accurate and as genuine as they come. Regulars always ask how the kids and dogs are doing, as they are forever with us. If they are not in school, they are undoubtedly in our friendly office or the van with Dad occasionally, meeting the customers and earning their pocket money. Our message is clear: we give you "No Stress and No Mess." Using quality products and premium service with aftercare from a family that does care. We provide installation service and repairs to all domestic gas appliances, mainly Central Heating and Boilers. We do loads for the local people where and when we can, and it's "Nice to be Nice". We sponsor Carla Lane Animal Rescue in Melling because we love the animals. We have given so much to our community directly from us to them when we encounter the challenges they face. Our business has stepped in to improve their lives, and we take great pride in this. Very pleased with the service provided…
Very pleased with the service provided by Darren, Claire and the Team. We had a heat only boiler replaced by a combi. The work required was fully explained by Darren and easy to understand. He came out to quote the same day we called and gave a very competitive price. A few days later we had our new boiler and hive system installed by Ste and Josh. Great job done, house was spotless when they left. We will be using DDWilson to service our boiler every year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thanks everyone. Kev & Marg D

same day call out
my heating was not working I called DD Wilson on Monday to come and investigate the issue, they attended within the same day literally 5 hours later, I could not believe it. The engineer thoroughly investigated my boiler and heating he eventually found the fault and it was my thermostat - the next day I had a new thermostat and my heating is working the best it has ever been.
the ladies in the office jo and claire I think their names were they're great too - great company all around. Thank you again

Very pleased with the service provided…
Very pleased with the service provided by Darren and his team,we had a backboiler replaced by a combi boiler.The work needed was explained to us so it was easy to understand and helped put us at ease after having a flood due to a burst pipe.stu and Sean carried out the work and did a great job,they kept us informed and came on time ,they even bricked up the hole after taking the old fire out , that was a really nice touch ! We would highly recommend DD Wilson.

Full heating system replacement
Recently had a full heating system replacement and Darren was very thorough and professional he explained the options and recommended a Alpha Combi boiler system. The work was completed really quickly and his team were very good, polite worked hard and kept disruption to a minimum whilst we were working for home during the installation. I would have no hesitation in recommending DD Wilson.

DD Wilson Boilers
Darren and his Team, Lewis, Ryan & Connor were very polite & Courteous. Very clean, no mess was left, work carried out to a very high standard. Full Boiler installation, removal of 2 tanks and Cylinder, all carried out in one day. All the Team were very helpful, also repaired a leak under kitchen sink - i only had to pay for the part. I would definitely recommend Darren DD Wilson Boilers. i Have asked Darren to Service Boiler every year. Thank you Darren & DD Wilson Team!

Another great job!
This is the second time I've chosen DD Wilson to do some work for me.
Got a quote to replace three radiators on Thursday and had the job done the very next day!
Darren called me on morning of the job as he had some difficulty obtaining one of the radiators as it was an awkward size.
He didn't give up trying and eventually managed to secure a suitable alternative.
One of the DD Wilson team Keith turned up an hour later and removed the old radiators and fitted the new ones.
He was very polite and was neat and tidy in his work of which I was very satisfied with.
Big up to Darren for not giving up (unlike my team Everton) and obtaining a suitable sized radiator.
If there was a league for Gas Fitters then DD Wilson would surely be crowned Champions!
Big thanks once again to Darren & Keith for another job well done.
Forget the rest. Use the best.

Had no boiler for 10 days in the…
Had no boiler for 10 days in the freezing cold after a company told my they could fix it and it was then condemned. Called DD Wilson on the Thursday afternoon. Tristan came out Thursday evening to price a new one and was so helpful. Spoke to Darren on the Friday and a new boiler was installed on the Monday by Ste and Josh. So impressed with them. House was left spotless and warm !! Over the moon and would not hesitate to recommend. I will be using this company to service my boiler every year now. Thanks again and a Merry Christmas to you all. I’ve waited a couple of years before…
I’ve waited a couple of years before writing this review to see how my boiler settles in.
With todays gas and electricity prices I’m so happy I went with DD Wilson removing my old central heating system and replacing with a Vailliant EcoTec Pro 28 combi boiler.
The lads came in and ripped out the old system including the water tank in the loft and replaced with a combi boiler, filter, 5 radiators, hooked my faulty shower up and set us up with Hive in a day!
I couldn’t be more pleased with the workmanship and hard work these guys put in!
If you’re on the market looking for a reliable and trustworthy family run business to get your heating and hot water up and running I 100% would recommend these guys !

I put a screw through my water pipe…
I put a screw through my water pipe under my floorboards and contacted DD Wilson they were at my property within the hour to fix my leak before any major damaged was caused they also re pressurized my boiler so we could get our heating back on as it was freezing cold last night i would definintely recommend DD Wilson excellent family run business.
