This company is not a very good company…

This company is not a very good company as I am not in debt with anyone and out of the blue this company as started calling me. I have rang the company to complain and keep getting told we will not ring you anymore and will put a notice saying do not call. But they still keep calling me and this has caused me so much stress I have now told them as they are cold calling people which is illegal I have no option but to instruct my solicitor to take legal action against them in court . So everyone beware of this company

This company has put me through stress…

This company has put me through stress and. I have been trying to get a full and final figure agreed to close off my account and have had no correspondence confirming this will be done.
I have called several times now and I keep getting cut off now at this point.
I have made it clear how stressed I am with all this and I’m at my darkest and still no Help.
They keep telling me this has been passed to the relevant department but won’t give me the email for this department.
I’m told different names for this so called department which is even more confusing.
I am worried this will never go away now at this rate.
I still have two years to close my IVA and at this rate I am so concerned.
Please stay away from this company.
STAY AWAY!!
I am seeking legal advice.
They keep cutting me off now

My Iva finished in January

My Iva finished in January, only, it didn’t. they took an overpayment, so I phoned, they said they will refund me £570, they did.

Then then phoned to say, I am in arrears by £270.
A day later I get another call, to say I am not in arrears. And the Iva will be closed.

Today, I received a call to say I am in arrears, of £270

Ten minutes later then call again to say I am in arrears of £420

It is chaotic, and a mess.

Advice against an IVA, the scheme is a shambles and will prevent you from moving on in life.

Absolutely naff.

Once again here we are to get through to someone. I have been trying to make a full and final payment since around July… it’s now January and I am no further😂 everyone just seems to stop contacting you unless you leave a rubbish review or miss a payment. Which tells you a lot about this company.
Ive been asking to speak to Adam since my offer should have completed by now… nothing. I made this offer on the 14th November. It takes 30 days for it to be accepted, it’s now the 3rd January. Is someone going to contact me again now I’ve left a naff review? Cause I would like to clarify I want my full and final cancelling. You will receive my £70 a month until May and nothing more. I want nothing more to do with this diabolical company. An IVA is supposed to relieve you of stress from your debt.. I’d have been better of being chased by the creditors than going through these. Never again, would not recommend to my worst enemy. The customer service office is quite clearly a large call centre reeling people into the company, you can barely hear the person on the other end of the phone due to the background noise. Everything is just unprofessional. I’m on maternity after having a baby and this whole thing has been so stressful as I feel like this IVA is just lingering over me and I’ve had no help from them trying to clear it.

I saw a review and there answer was…

I saw a review and there answer was that there is a company pretending to be this company. I am in the middle of trying to get an IvA, they seem like they don’t actually communicate with each other. And they ring me all the time by different numbers how do I know if it is real or not. As the last step is they have asked me for all my bank account details with the 3 digit code also? Is this right. Can someone give me the correct number so I can see if I am talking to the fake one or not please? And also explain hat are the government ones that help you for free? Thank you in advance.

I’m now stress free, thanks to My Debt Plan.

I was directed to My Debt Plan company after seeking independent advice. As I don’t like talking on the phone I was grateful that most of my IVA was done via their web portal. I had one phone call to discuss my income and expenditure, then a second phone call a fortnight later, to say that my creditors had agreed to my IVA. I was under so much stress before I got this help, as I’m a disabled pensioner, so I’m very grateful to My Debt Plan.

Forced into IVA, seems like probable fraud.

Woke up this morning to a message claiming that MYDEBTPLAN had set up an IVA in my name and would be taking money the following day.
Only thing is I never gave them my details or asked them to setup an IVA, so how have the gotten my information?

Started off with Freeze app to sort out…

Started off with Freeze app to sort out my debt that became out of control due to cost of living crisis. They were relatively good overall and got me to these guys pretty quickly even with a few hiccups along the way.

Now following the start of my IVA these guys have made a few errors. My income and outgoings are all over the place yet I have never once lied. They seem to of mixed it all around to suit them to get the IVA to work so they can make their money. I suffer depression and anxiety and they know this and I do not have it in me to go through another review regarding my debt, bills and all that.

Now the worst bit and the bit causing me the most anxiety is they have put on a Case Specific MODs. This is requirements apparently from the lenders I have to comply with in order for my IVA not to fail and be cancelled.
Well the first one is totally incorrect. They are asking me to claim child maintenance from my ex wife and have to apply it to the IVA payments. My ex has main custody and I pay her!! They know this and have been told many times.
Second is I have to take out new car finance less then 250pm and savings also to go to the IVA. Understandable, but I have tried many lenders they suggested and all reject due to my credit (hence the IVA!) So I forwarded all the information on the rejections as asked to and advised if I hand back my car I get nothing and will not be able to work so not earning to pay the IVA. They said at the beginning this would be ok.

For the last 10 or so days they have been ignoring all messages on the portal and emails and now my time to fix the above issues has expired meaning my IVA is due to fail and I will be up that creek everyone knows about....

With anxiety now running wild and me worrying about how to pay bills this is not good.

Not how a company should run a business. Totally stressed out now.

Avoid and look at the free charities out there. You may not get debt written off and take longer but at least you will be looked after instead of these crooks.

First few months payments go to them for fees not the creditors so I am guessing as 4 months in they don't give a damn now they have there money. I will be taking this further for sure as they are conning people who are in need.

This is an ongoing problem hence experience date being date of review. Do not let that fool you.

The worst company around. They are sly with their marketing techniques, they make you feel like you have no other option and coerce vulnerable people into their plans. I can see it depends on who you get however if you get a bad one. Steer very clear.

Noel Tu

Noel Tu; the agent at 'my Debt plan' was Awesome. He clearly knows his onions when it comes to anything to do with finance. He was professional, non judgemental on our £14,000 debt, which I suppose it modest compared to some people's.
I would recommend this company to anyone that is dealing with priority and non priority debts. Don't be scared of your debts people. There is help out there if you want it. This company DO NOT charged fees to anyone wishing to use their service. 'My Debt plan' folks. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely shocking 'service'

Absolutely shocking 'service'. Signed up for an IVA with this company and was charged over £1500 for fees!! Absolutely no communication from them unless chased and even then it's at a push. Paid off early nearly a year ago and still waiting and chasing for a closing statement. Would not recommend at all. Always going to call back and never do. Not sure what the charges were for at that amount but it certainly didn't reflect in the lack of service I received

Very convincing, poor knowledge

Very convincing, push you in to making a decision making an IVA appear as your only option. Manipulate figures on your budget plan without consent. Everything is rushed with high pressure from them. Lovely people just poor knowledge. From the start to signing important documents 4 working days! And extremely high fees that they charge for themselves. Definitely avoid! There's charity based companies that charge nothing with better advice and good knowledge.

Update; I stick by my original review. With my disabilities taken in to account I wish that I was given time necessary or advised by my debt plan to seek independent advance in order for me to fully understand the contract I was about to enter and it's full implications. Just like all legal contracts and the wording of them without training it's difficult to understand them. I feel everything was rushed and manic from start to finish with high pressure and little time (10 minutes) to look over a contract at least 35 pages long.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the timeline from consultation to document signing. We aim to balance efficiency and ensuring clients have sufficient time to review and understand the terms of their debt solution. We apologize if we fell short of your expectations in this regard.

Great company to deal with

Great company to deal with, every member of staff that helped me was so helpful and understanding. Since doing my debt plan IVA I have never felt better. The whole process is stress free and recommend it to anyone who feels under pressure due to debts. Contact this company and even just advice is so helpful I can't thank them enough.

Stop advertising as Citizens Advice Bureau

I typed in Citizens Advice Bureau and got this shower, though I didn’t realise it at the time. I was called pretty much immediately and told I needed an IVA. Which I don’t. I have since learned that you are not allowed to advertise “as if” you are the CAB or any debt charity, but they still do. Why? And why do Google allow it? Why, money of course. Avoid these bloodsucking leeches at all costs. Avoid, Avoid. Avoid.

I had great assistance from Aki he helped give me peace of mind as it is my first time dealing with my debts and he helped make the process understandable and easy specially as I was pregnant and mother diagnosed with cancer so I was dealing with a lot and he was very sympathetic and professional, so any worries I had he put my mind to rest and I felt a lot of weight come off my shoulders. Thank you Aki you wouldn't know how much you helped me out.

Don’t sit and worry give them a call and see if they can help you. They stay in touch and walk you though all the steps - Martyn even rang me when he got home if I had a query.
