Not worth the Spam

I haven't even seen my order from DecoratorsBest but I am already regretting my purchase. They sold my email address, and within the last 24 hours I have received HUNDREDS of spam emails from random businesses, most of which say I have been signed up for some newsletter or subscribed to receive emails. I'm not exaggerating when I say I have gotten almost 1,000 of these.

Having gone back to their site and having read the fine print, I now understand that there is something on their site that says they reserve the right to sell a customer's information. Buyer beware - it might be worth it to look for an alternative resource for your fabric needs.

I tried to place an order for a sample.... took a turn for the worst.

I tried to place an order for a sample, placed all my information online and tried to process the order with my credit card information 5 times! The website claimed the order didn't go through, and my bank says my card was charged all 5 times for the sample. I had just ordered samples from another fabric website prior to this one with no issues. Later I called customer service and the woman is severely mentally challenged. I give her my email, and it took her 10 times to get it right, she said shell help me place the order, I asked if she knows of another dusty rose fabric I can order alongside the original, she says no. And asks me to type in Dusty rose in the search bar of the website.. (K..THANKS.) When she starts placing my sample order over the phone, she asks me for my email (again, repeating letter by letter 7 times) and then .... for my password!! So she can login online, place the sample order just like me and try to place the order as if she were on my account. Im like what's the POINT of you processing the order through what gave me the same issue to begin with? Don't you guys have your own portal to place orders and she said NO.. Conclusion : DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS STUPID WEBSITE!!! LOST 25 bucks and 30 minutes of my life on 1 sample I will never receive.

Wallpaper doesn’t match and HORROBLE customer service

I was so excited to find an inexpensive wallpaper and ordered form decoratorsbest. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience every step of the way that resulted in me having a wall with Paper from two different dye lots on my wall.

Here’s how it went down: DB only sent me one roll of wallpaper instead of two. When I called, I was told it was a double roll on one bolt and that I needed to order more. I found this odd since I had measured multiple times but ordered another roll and requested it be from the same dye lot. The rolls (2 of them this time, confirming they miss-sent only one previously) arrived and I hung the paper. I noticed the second roll was darker but assumed it was because it was wet, but it wasn’t. Currently the right half of my wall is light and the left side is dark leaving a very obvious line down the middle.

When I called DB i was treated like a thief and an imbacule. I was appalled at the poor costumer service I received. I was told there were no notes of me requesting the paper from the same lot (is it my fault they didn’t keep record?) and when I sent pictures they said they “didn’t see that big of a difference”. For a company that deals with interior design to deny even a slight difference in color is shameful. The owner of the company was inflexible and rude and told me she wouldn’t refund me because I probably was “going to live” with the paper anyway.

As a small business owner myself, I hate writing reviews that are negative, however, but he service and product I received were unacceptable. If you read more reviews online about this company, you will see that many people have had similar experiences with the company and the owner.

The company did give me my money back after hours on the phone with them and me pleading my case repeatedly. They finally caved and told me they "didn't want to deal with me."

One of the best customer service oriented companies

Simply one of the best customer service oriented companies I've done business with. It's easy to rate a company 5 stars when everything goes right. In my case I received defective wallpaper and a lot went wrong. But the President of the company took on my situation in a timely manner and replaced my order extremely fast, including alerting me to discounts I was unaware I was entitled to. They are simply the best.

Designer fabrics at great price

I was looking for high-end fabrics for the draperies and found them at the Decorator's Best at great price. The fabrics I purchased were delivered fast and were as beautiful as shown. The only reason for 4 stars, and not 5 stars is, 12 yards of silk fabric I ordered was approximately 10 inches shy. I contacted the vendor and they eventually sent me the free return label. Once they received the fabric I returned, the Decorator's Best promptly credited my account.

The customer representative, Latoya, was super pleasant and vey helpful. Thank you, Latoya!

Helpful service -- quick delivery!

I couldn't believe how helpful they were on the phone with my order (The pattern I selected had "A" and "B" rolls and they assured me I was ordering the correct number of sets.) I also could not believe how quickly the wallpaper arrived once the order was placed. I am a first time buyer and would recommend Decoratorsbest without reservation. Thanks so much!

Follow-up on my prior review

As a follow-up to my prior post, a senior representative contacted me, apologized and gave me the 10% credit on all 3 of my recent orders. In addition, they gave me another $20 coupon on my next order. So I am happy with their follow-up and I'm glad they resolved the situation. I would absolutely use them again because they corrected this situation.
