Midweek deal did not apply and overinflated the price when going through checkout. Raised with customer service and am having to wait a week between each response which is simply ridiculous. Been aske... See more

This company is operating an illegal human trafficking ring. They hire illegal immigrants, using illegal vehicles such as high powered e-bikes. Their mopeds also do not have business insurance in most instances. This company is responsible for turning Britain and indeed cities across the world into no-go zones.
A service fee without a service
I can accept that restaurants sometimes get it wrong. What I cannot accept is paying a platform that markets itself as protecting customers, only to discover that when a genuine dispute arises, the restaurant is effectively the final arbiter of its own complaint.
If Deliveroo cannot independently assess quality complaints and simply relays the restaurant's decision, what exactly is the customer paying a service fee for?
The outcome I'm facing.
The restaurant maintained that the food met its quality standards, and Deliveroo simply accepted that position.
No replacement.
No refund.
No further investigation.
Deliveroo positions itself as the platform that gives customers confidence when ordering from independent restaurants. Its marketing is built around convenience, reliability and customer support when things don't go to plan.
My experience was the exact opposite.
If only there was a zero star option
If only there was a zero star option. Deliveroo can only be summarised as lazy customer service experience. They all act as if they are doing you a favour with a premium price tag on. From those delivering to the platform itself. It’s a really poor vicious cycle of a bad business model. Tonight I received two orders that belonged to someone else. And had plenty of items I marked do not substitute replaced. The best they could offer? Not good enough. The kids had to have cereal for dinner.
Terrible
Terrible. After ordering from Deliveroo on a twice weekly if not more basis, I ordered a shop from Sainsbury's in Chertsey today. The order arrived on time, despite a substitution - which I accepted. However the driver said that he only had one bag of shopping and that another driver would be arriving with the other two bags. An hour later. Still nothing. I contacted the customer service chat. They decided through their review they werent going to offer compensation. I dont want compensation. Just the food I ordered for my kids dinner. Now £50 out of pocket. Jokers. Will delete my account. Dont use them.

I had a £30 gift card which I applied to my account. It shows up in my gift card balance, but I am completely unable to use it as it just doesn't seem to work. Customer service has been a nightmare to deal with, and in the end, their advice was ‘feel free to keep trying'.
One of the most rubbish things is
One of the most rubbish things is - F*** driver picks the order and then went to completley different location and Deliveroo do nothing after reporting!
shut your shop!
Remarkable customer service
Overall performance is excellent with reliable service.
Update on my review in Chesterfield
Update on my review in Chesterfield: keep all details and ask your bank to reverse charges after one month has passed. You will get your money back. Do not let Deliveroo to get away with it!
Absolute shambles they take no…
Absolute shambles they take no responsibility for orders and still charge delivery and services fees when the order is wrong, and then send muggy messages apologising and being a beg about it, I would rather crawl through broken glass to the shops than use these charlatans, the only reason I ordered anything was because it’s coming home….
They are absolute disgrace I ordered…
They are absolute disgrace I ordered fish and chips from a fantastic chippy only 5 minutes from me.when they turned up it wasn't even in a thermal bag in was in a thin carrier bag and when I opened the bag the food was stone cold. I will never ever use deliveroo again
Again Disappointed
Hi,
It’s a pity I can’t add 0*.
Another bad experience with Deliveroo.
Poor customer service.
They have a long way to get to Uber Eats feet, as their customer service is 109% better
More expensive “WITH” sub
Me and my wife use Deliveroo every now and again. At the moment less than once a month, and use other services more unless there’s a deal on or something we can only get from Deliveroo.
We started putting it through on both of our phones as I’ve got plus and she doesn’t just to see what the difference is being a subscriber, and the past 5/6 times it has been more expensive for me (using plus) than it has been for her (no sub).
Selling a paid subscription and making it more expensive is just pure greed! What is the reason for this?, the only thing I’ve seen for plus is sometimes they have specific items on a deal, but even with them, saving actually on the deals my wife gets on saves you way more money in the long run and you can get what you want.
I strongly advise customers to check that it is even cheaper when subscribed as the company is taking your money monthly and for all you know are charging you more for it!
Absolutely appalling service from Deliveroo
Order #5032 took 90 minutes to arrive from a restaurant that's just 0.9 miles from my home. There is simply no reasonable excuse for such an excessive delay.
The final insult was that, after waiting an hour and a half, the food arrived stone cold and was no longer enjoyable. Paying for a delivery service only to receive cold food after such a long wait is completely unacceptable.
Customers pay Deliveroo for convenience, speed and reliability. On this occasion, Deliveroo failed on every count. A 90-minute wait for a restaurant less than a mile away, followed by an inedible cold meal, is a service that falls well below an acceptable standard.
This was a complete waste of money and a thoroughly disappointing experience. Unless Deliveroo can significantly improve its service and take responsibility when things go this badly wrong, I won't be using them again.
I expect nothing less than a full refund
App says "order can't be placed right now" but silently went through anyways. Impossible to cancel an order.
Due to a technical glitch saying "the order can't be placed right now" I made another order, only to find I was charged twice cause both orders went through. No way to cancel one of the orders if not through the chat, which I did immediately, but it took ages for them to reply only to say "the restaurant is already preparing the order so we can't cancel it". Deliveroo used to have the best customer care, now it's just rubbish like the others. I was a valuable customer, I won't use it again.
Absolutely abysmal service from start…
Absolutely abysmal service from start to finish! Late deliveries with inedible food, missing items, incomplete orders. Useless drivers taking more than one delivery at a time, taking long breaks in between deliveries, and customer service lying by saying I ignored the drivers messages when there were none. No explanation given for inadequate services and no refunds available as the computer says no! Come on little Britain! Deal with these inappropriate services who take your money and don’t deliver! Closed account and will never go back! Waste of time, money and energy.
Customer Service for Deliveroo Grocery - Mean-Spirited and Unhelpful
Deliveroo Grocery – Mean‑Spirited and Unhelpful
Deliveroo emailed me a £10 promo code for my first grocery shop, which encouraged me to try their service. I placed my first order but accidentally forgot to apply the code. When I contacted Deliveroo customer service, they refused to help. They wouldn’t apply the discount afterwards, and they wouldn’t let me use it on my second order either.
It was a genuine mistake, and Deliveroo could easily have shown some goodwill. Instead, they chose the strictest possible interpretation of their own promotion. It felt unnecessarily mean and very unfriendly to a new customer.
This experience has completely put me off Deliveroo Grocery. I’ll stick with Tesco Whoosh and Uber, where customer service is far more reasonable.
I ordered a Pizza Hut from deliveroo…
I ordered a Pizza Hut from deliveroo and found a hair in my pizza and they told me they can’t come and get the pizza and I can’t have a refund so I called pizza hut and they advised me if I ordered with them I could have so my advice is don’t ever use them disgusting
Order No: 9847. ordered from Las Iguanas in Milton…
I ordered from Las Iguanas in Milton Keynes. I ordered a vegetarian main dish as I've been a vegetarian for 44 years. They sent a chicken main dish. Which for me is obviously inedible.... When I complained to Deliveroo they gave me a £1 refund... Which is unacceptable I feel. I am very very unhappy with this service. Very poor...
If I could give 0 stars
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Given £75 gift voucher nearly a year ago, for 84th birthday. Options in my postcode, unknown pizza, kebab, burgers...no Chinese, one Lebanese, one Indian. I don't eat pizzas, burgers, or kebabs, however enjoy Lebanese, Chinese, or Indian food. With only 8 days left and £25 remaining to spend, I for the fifth time in last few weeks, tried to order Indian, as had previous spending there! Showing on app, but continuously on closed windiw, I asked deliveroo customer service to help. Girl very pleasant, phoned the restaurant, to be informed that they were closed and deliveroo was not to phone them again! This was not the case, as I went on the restaurant app, and orders were being taken! I was told from a senior person, to spend my £25 I had to purchase food I don't eat, or expensive groceries I don't require, otherwise their company benefit by my lack of purchase! No extension or refund was to be given. The extremely poor choice of restaurants on offer in my postcode, was abysmal, even before the bake closed, and Indian refuses to continue business, with them, despite still on the app today 11th July. There are other delivery services out there! I strongly recommend if purchasing to avoid Deliveroo.
