I think Deliveroo is doing so much harm…

I think Deliveroo is doing so much harm to restaurant and takeaway brands that had previously enjoyed high ratings. This is not an isolated experience for me.
I ordered a pizza from my favourite restaurant where I have enjoyed many great meals.
I could tell that the pizza was ready, but the pickup and delivery to me was another 45 minutes (I live five minutes away - not laziness, I’d just had surgery so couldn’t leave the house).
The pizza was so cold, it was inedible. It was actually curling up.
When I raised the issue with Deliveroo, I was offered a £4 discount on a £17 order. Disgraceful. Will use Just Eats in future.

Appalling Company

Ordered from wingstop and received an incorrect order. My receipt had obviously been put on someone elses bag so the whole order was someone elses and nothing was what I ordered. They refuse to refund me saying that due to the issue they arent able to refund. I didn't even receive my food and my issue doesn't warrant a refund.. in what world are these people from. Will never use Deliveroo again, absolutely appalling company and customer service who just seem to steal peoples money.

Terrible delivery service now

Terrible delivery service now, driver collects food, then spends the next 30 minutes collecting more food before even attempting to resume the route with our delivery, needless to say the food arrived stone cold, this has been the issue for the past few delivery’s now, will never use Deliveroo again.

Shame I can’t give this zero stars. Have been ordering from them for quite a long time now but seeing the gradual decline, will never again. Isn’t worth the no delivery fee. It’s all lies. Do not believe it when it says 20 mins delivery! Or free delivery! Or anything it says! If you go direct on the restaurant website, you will also see that the prices are cheaper direct so they add money to every item on the menu via their app. Always wait at least an hour for anything, however near the restaurant is or however quick the app says it will be. When it says to call the restaurant direct for issues, you just get abuse from the restaurant blaming all on Deliveroo and say you have to contact them direct for any problems. This app should be shut down for its lies. And not forgetting all those added fees - bag fee, service fee, travel fee etc. I confronted Deliveroo on several occasions who were beyond useless and just copy and paste their standard script.

Horrendous app

Horrendous app. I couldn't accept food as it was someone elses order that I had Extreme allergies to!!!! Y would I take the damn bag into my place?!!!!!!! Y did I need to show what was in the bag to prove I got the wrong order when I gave them my receipt? And number. Seriously no refund as well.

I ordered food, i only got some of it, i had to pay for some missing items

I ordered food, i didnt get all the food i ordered. I was reimbursed for one item which the restaurant admitted they forgot to pack. It was my sons food. I cant blame deliveroo for that. But there are other items partially missing, eg prawn dish with less prawns. Sounds trivial, but when you're paying £9 per dish, to have some missing, is no good. I want what i paid for. I was denied reimbursment and now i have even less food to offer my son. I work from home, but i work within an intensive environment and have little time to cook im time for my sons arrival from Primary school.

Avoid at all costs!

Over an hour ago I ordered 3 meals for 3 people from McDonald's Via Deliveroo. Only 2 meals arrived, and no drinks. I've been on live chat this last hour to try and have the missing meal, and all 3 missing drinks delivered. As we are not going to eat our meals whilst leaving someone without. Deliveroo have refused. They will only issue a refund for the missing meal. Not the missing drinks. I have multiple ties requested contact details for their head office, but are being refused it. The reason being I was already speaking with the Senior agent. I have remained polite throughout and have screenshots of the entire conversation. There is a reason why Deliveroo have one star on trust pilot! They're service is abysmal. All three of us have now deleted our deliveroo accounts and will not use them again. The best thing you could do to save yourselves the hassle of frequent missing items, an appalling live chat department. Is to use other food delivery companies. There are a lot better out there. Save yourself the hassle and use a better company.

DIliveroo driver got my order and waited 25 min. Food was cold and drink spilt. Crap service and dicusting attitude

DIliveroo driver sat on my food order for 25 mins before delivering it stone cold with a spit drink. Far more interetest in talking on the phone then the customer. When I did finally get his attention and ask why the food was 25 mins late , he was very rude and said it wasn't his fault and he had a second order. When confonted about the spilt drink. that was the fault of McDonald packing staff. I could see it was could he had stuffed in in his bike box. He also went to the 2nd order 1st before bringing my cold food.

This was discusting service and crap attitude. Any normal person with any common sence wanting to keep there job would brought me my order and then returned to the shop for the 2nd order. He could have done this 3 times in the time it took to get me order

Hungry kids

ordered food at 5pm for a nandos pick up. time for arrival kept getting pushed later and later and later. rang deliveroo and eventually got through to some idiot who told me the order was cancelled because a driver got there and then rejected the order. on the call I then asked for a refund and he told me I had to call back in 5 mins to process a refund. I refused and he ended up hanging up on me. 2 hungry kids later they are getting beans on toast instead. absolutely appalling.

It’s happens a few times when…

It’s happens a few times when prioritizing my orders , the drivers make detours elsewhere and then delivers Luke warm food , last time customer service said I was the only order he delivered,, obviously backing driver up.
Using Uber Eats now and absolutely perfect as they have more discipline over their drivers.

Kfc basically only place open so ordered there through deliveroo and it just didn’t arrive despite it being open. Now we are starving at 1am cheers. We also used a 50% off and they said we won’t be able to use it again and instead gave us 5 quid????

Ordered 4 pizzas and was delivered 3 dips!

I am absolutely gutted by the customer service we received from Deliveroo. We ordered over £70 worth of food from PizzaExpress. After a delay, the delivery arrived, but we didn’t get a single pizza—just three dips. After speaking to countless representatives, the best they could offer was a refund for the pizzas—no compensation for the dips, delivery, or tip. The complete lack of care or responsibility was disgraceful. Because of this, we won’t be using Deliveroo again and will stick to supporting our local businesses instead.

They double charged me on a 75 pound…

They double charged me on a 75 pound order! And refusing to accept despite my bank providing then with evidence that £150 left my account. I’ve lost another 75 quid and it’s not come back a week later. Deleting the app and NEVER using again. They were also rude and sarcastic when trying to get help with it and not reading the banks proof. What a horrible organisation.

Deliveroo or Just Eat

I don't know who to write this review about.
We ordered from Deliveroo, the order was delivered half an hour AFTER it was collected 2 blocks away.....by a Just Eat driver.
The food was cold and unappetizing, a shame as the restaurant is actually quite good, but I won't be ordering anything from them again due to a lack of service from Deliveroo.
Now John from Deliveroo says they do everything to ensure the food is hot and safe, how he can promise this when he can't even make sure it's being delivered by his own staff member is laughable. And then there's the food safety issue, if you can't ensure the food is collected by the correct person, how can you ensure it's going to be safe?
I know Deliveroo won't read this or comment, but I ain't going away. I won't order another thing from this company, I would be very wary of anything delivered by them now.
Woodford Green has become a free for all with delivery drivers, guys arrive with ladies names, Indian guys arrive with the name Harry Metcalf (not a real name hopefully) etc etc etc....
Until you, Deliveroo, can sort these issues out we won't be able to use or recommend you.
And if anyone reading this thinks this isn't a serious issue...... you're wrong.
Food safety is at issue here. Your health is at risk because Deliveroo can't do anything about it, they're more interested in profit rather than safety.
