Don't refund cancelled orders!!
Ordered something and I cancelled immediately and reordered as missed something off. They didn't refund the cancelled order even tho email sent saying it would.... Had to dispute through the bank. Awful service. Didn't even answer messages. Get a bot service not a human. Avoid and check your cancelled items are refunded.

I woke up this morning to a refund of £2.40 i started a online chat with a agentvand they said nothing they can do. They were not understanding sounded like they couldn't be bothered. £14.56 might not seem a lot but it is to me. But they still sticking to the 2.40

Horrific company! Scam you out of money when you don’t receive the items and don’t give any compensation so you basically pay for stuff you don’t get. Unhelpful rude staff. Deleted the app instantly! Avoid!

I have used Deliveroo now and again over the years with very little issue BUT today I used them for a few bits from Asda.
Some items charged for were missing, so contacted them to basically be told 'Sorry, but we aren't going to refund you'!!
When pressed to explain why, they ended the chat. I found a number, only to be told to use live chat, despite me telling her they were useless & were only coming out with copy/paste responses that told me nothing before they ended the chat.
I'm shocked at how they think they can get away with treating customers who complain about being charged for fresh air.
I contacted my bank for a chargeback for the missing items and won't ever use them again.
What they hope to gain by doing this is beyond me as, even if they manage to screw the customer over on one order, surely the loss of future income negates this and more.

Deliveroo are essentially thieves. Someone sent me a 100 pound voucher which doesnt work. I have called their support desk 12 times, sent all requested data inc pin no for voucher over 8 weeks (yes 8 !) and been told each time someone would call back in 24- 48 hours. Nothing. I have requested they refund the money. They say the can't. So if the service doesnt work and they wont refund the money that is theft...

The courier’s attitudes vary. It’s not always warm and embracing. Clearly they’re not all trained on ‘Excellent’ customer service and a lot of the times many of them speak very little English.
The Deliveroo App is always glitching so many times I have to share my HotSpot so Drivers can complete the order.
But my orders always get here in a reasonable time and in acceptable conditions.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I was banned after several successful claims for a refund over cold and spoilt food deliveries as is my right according to UK consumer protection law.

I ordered Waitrose groceries at 7.30pm tonight. After 2 hours I rang Waitrose to see where my order was as they had said it would be 40 mins max. Waitrose told me the deliveroo rider stole my bag of groceries. Waitrose sent me my order again luckily. Deliveroo - what kind of people are you hiring???

I wish I could give it worse than 1 star. They give you a delivery time, once you click on the restaurant they give you a range for the delivery time but even the lower end is always higher than the initial announced delivery time (and the higher end is around double that). More often than not, the order comes later than that initial range. What is worse, is that you are charged a delivery and service fee, and part of the reason why your order is late is because they ask their riders to make various deliveries along the way (but the charge you the same regardless of whether they are charging other customers for the same rider).
When you try to talk to their customer service they pretend none of the above is true and do not have a process to lodge formal complaints, just do copy paste of messages that are honestly insulting to customers by pretending they’re stupid.
