Customers frequently reported problems with their orders, such as missed deliveries or items not arriving as expected. The return policy and process were a major source of frustration, with many struggling to complete returns or receive refunds. Additionally, delivery was often criticized for being unreliable and slow. However, some customers also noted positive experiences with the staff, particularly in emergency situations where cabin crews were praised for their quick and effective first aid. A few other people also felt that the booking process was smooth and efficient, and some appreciated the efforts made by staff to accommodate their travel needs, such as holding planes for connecting flights.

Delta is an absolute dumpster fire

Delta provided me with by far the worst airport experience I've ever had. They delayed my flight 5 times across 5 hours with no update or explanation. After 5 HOURS of delays, the pilot came out to the front desk of the terminal, threw her hands in the air and said her shift was over so good luck. Five minutes layer, the totally unhelpful front desk guy came over the intercom and canceled the flight around 10:30 PM. I had to get a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR Uber to get home at 12:30 AM after having traveled for 11 hours, getting NOWHERE, AND missing my cousin's wedding. I submitted my Uber ride to Delta for reimbursement which they predictably denied because the customer is the last of their concern. I will never, ever, EVER touch a Delta flight again with a million foot pole. I will trash Delta in conversation whenever air travel comes up. I will never forget how poorly Delta treated me on this day.

Stupid anti consumer flight delays

Horrible company that puts itself before customers. Had over an hour flight delay due to them loading more cargo than just the customer’s bags. They somehow failed to load the plane properly twice which is astonishing. I can’t believe this company still has customers.

If you like to be treated like steerage…

If you like to be treated like steerage on the Titanic then Economy is the way to go. Unfortunately, I was zone 8 and considering no one else in zone 8 has to check their carry-on, there was only 1 difference between me and them…you guessed it, the color of my skin. They said the overhead bins were full. The desk agent was happy as a clam when she told me I had to check my bag and that if I would’ve paid more, I wouldn’t have to be checking my carry-on bag. When we boarded the plane, all the overhead bins were closed. Lo and behold when we landed and they opened the overhead bins there were multiple empty spaces, including one directly over my head. They made 15 people check their carry-on bag that most likely would not have needed to. And the fact that I was treated like a second rate citizen who didn’t belong on an airplane was unacceptable. But what does Delta care since I’m just an economy traveler anyway? I even have pictures and a video!

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with Delta Air Lines.
My flight scheduled for the 19th was canceled, and while they did offer me a credit—which I was okay with—the situation quickly became unreasonable. When I tried to rebook for the very next day, I found a flight that was actually $9 cheaper than my original one.
I wasn’t even concerned about the $9 difference. But somehow, despite having a credit, I was told I would need to pay an additional $128 just to use it for the next-day flight. That makes absolutely no sense.
It feels like a system designed to squeeze more money out of customers rather than help them after an inconvenience that wasn’t their fault. Being charged extra to use a credit—especially when the new flight is cheaper—is unfair and misleading.
Very disappointing experience. I expected better customer service and transparency.

They suck they delay first flight

They suck they delay your first flight speed up your connecting flight and make you go home until the following day! They don’t care that your rushing to your connecting flight they will not wait for you and will tell you to wait for the next flight that is scheduled for the following day.

Between horrible delays

Between horrible delays, customer service, lack of knowledgeable employees, problem with employees showing up on time, I can say it was the worst flying experience.

POOR TIMEMANGEMENT, POOR STAFFS

We arrived at the airport 2 hours before our next flight. The customer services says our ticket is invalid. They made us go to another whole other terminal to get it fixed at a different airline saying they were the one that changed it but the different airline says that delta was the one that changed it, so we came back to delta and delta says that our travel agent was the one that changed it but it was very very clear they were the one that changed it. We missed our flight because of them and they said that we arrived late. We was put on a flight 10 HOURS LATER. The people at customer service was so rude and my mom wasn’t the best at English so I was trying ti help but I was trying to explain but I kept getting cut off and unable to finish speaking.

Severe Weather Impacts

I flew from Orlando to Los Angeles on March 10, 2026. The flight attendants were courteous and kind. The inflight entertainment was also very good.
I was supposed to fly home from LAX to Orlando on March 16, 2026. Due to severe weather all along the East Coast, all flights were cancelled. They rebooked me on another flight the next morning, but it got cancelled due to crew shortage. I booked a new flight with Southwest and got my money refunded very quickly. When I got home on March 19th, I went to the Delta baggage claim area to look for my bag. There were HUNDREDS of bags and lots of people there. Once I got to an attendant, they found my bag and put it on the next flight back to Orlando. So, if you can’t get through via phone or chat, best thing to do is to go to the airport and speak with a live person.

fraudulent air fare prices

Delta airlines post fraudulent air fares. Twice I have tried to purchase a ticket with Delta airlines and the price changes from $300-$500 when is went to purchase, with a message saying the fare has changed. So when I go back to the site to refresh the price hasn't changed. I have even tried the following day and the same scam is being ran, the bait and switch

Just don’t

It might be easier to say what went right than what went wrong. I paid $150/ticket extra for nonstop flights which were cancelled months before the trip, with no other available nonstops. Got rebooked with a 3 hour layover in Atlanta, but it is now 5 hours and we are still waiting for crew. How can a flight be hours delayed and have no crew?! Never again.

Everything is wrong with Delta these…

Everything is wrong with Delta these days. Trying to get home to support my elderly mother through a major surgery. Flight yesterday morning canceled. Rebooked to this afternoon. That flight has been delayed by 4 hours already, and I doubt it will ever take off. Got timed-out on support chats 3x. Waited on hold 2.5 hours before I got customer service on phone. Worthless. Been on hold now for another 30 minutes waiting for a supervisor. Just cancelled my delta Skymiles platinum card. So done with this corporate airline abuse

Wish I could give negative stars

Wish I could give negative stars. Three strikes now! 3 trips lost a full day of vacation due to MECHANICAL issues (doors!!???) And today, a broken door delay that caused us to miss our connecting flight and NOW a flight attendant called in sick? Over an hour late now and they keep saying they are still waiting, while all of us miss our vacation, transfers, excursions and dinner reservations! Pathetic Delta PATHETIC!

Worst experience of my life

Usually I do not write reviews, but this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with an airline. I completely understand flights are canceled due to weather, but this was unacceptable customer service. I have never felt so uncared for in my entire life of flying. The person who was making announcement was incredibly unprofessional and made things very confusing and misleading for everyone. She stated that the pilot was there to fly the plane, an hour went by, and she sad they had “lost the pilot” and cancelled the flight at 1am.

The delta help booth was incredibly unhelpful.i waited there for help until 1:30am-1:45am and the person running the booth rudely stated they closed at 2:30am, no exceptions. She kept walking around repeating this and provided no help. People had lost their bags and were stranded there for multiple days, and they weren’t even going to help the people that they stranded. I will never fly delta again. Absolutely awful experience.

Avoid from Delta

The flight, originally scheduled at 7:40 AM, was delayed until 1:15 PM from MIA to JFK — a delay of over 5 hours. I was informed that this disruption was due to a crew issue (pilot illness and waiting for a replacement), which is clearly within the airline’s responsibility.

What made this experience particularly disappointing was the complete lack of support provided during this extended delay. No meal vouchers, refreshments, or any form of assistance were offered, despite the significant waiting time caused by an operational issue on Delta’s side.

As a frequent traveler, I find this level of service far below expectations, especially given that the delay was not caused by external factors such as weather.

Dear Delta Customer Care,

Dear Delta Customer Care,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent travel experience, which has caused significant distress for both myself and my children.
My original flight, DL872 on March 15, was canceled at approximately 11:30 PM. I immediately attempted to rebook and was placed on standby for the earliest available option, only to face repeated delays and long queues. After speaking with customer service, I was rebooked on a flight departing Wednesday from MCO to RDU to New York, which was not a reasonable solution given my circumstances.
My children and I arrived at the airport at 7:15 AM on March 16, expecting resolution, but instead encountered further complications. We were eventually placed on DL9892, which did not board until 1:49 AM despite arriving around midnight. After finally boarding, we were forced to deplane due to the pilots timing out—an operational issue unrelated to weather.
Following this, we were instructed to rebook again, only to be placed on an afternoon flight instead of the earliest available departure. At this point, my children had gone over 24 hours without proper rest and were sleeping in wheelchairs inside the airport.
What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of care and support throughout this experience. Despite the overnight disruption and extended delays, no hotel accommodations or meaningful assistance were offered. This is unacceptable, regardless of fare class. I paid for this trip with my hard-earned money and expected a basic level of service and care.
I am a SkyMiles member (Number: 9871409620), and this experience has significantly impacted my trust in Delta. My children are now hesitant to fly again due to how this situation was handled.
I am requesting appropriate compensation for this experience, as well as a review of how my case was managed—particularly the lack of overnight accommodations and failure to prioritize rebooking on the earliest available flight.
I would appreciate a prompt response.
Sincerely,

Delta Airline Nightmare

I recently returned from Ireland with a student group while six months pregnant, and our experience with Delta during our return trip was extremely frustrating.

Our flight from JFK to Dallas (DFW) was cancelled before we even landed in JFK on March 15. Once we arrived, Delta offered no hotel or meal vouchers, even though the next available flight they gave us wasn’t until 6:20 PM the following day. As the group leader responsible for students, I had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for a hotel, food, and transportation.

The baggage situation was equally frustrating. Two passengers’ bags never arrived, and we spent hours being told to wait at the oversized baggage area while staff repeatedly said someone would retrieve them “soon.” One bag didn’t appear until late that evening, and another required returning to the airport the next morning and waiting again for hours.

Our group eventually found an earlier flight out of LaGuardia ourselves, but Delta provided no assistance getting from JFK to LaGuardia, so we had to arrange and pay for transportation ourselves.

When we finally arrived in Dallas, another bag was missing and we were told it had been left in New York and would be shipped later. Unfortunately, that bag contains materials essential for my work that would cost thousands of dollars to replace.

Throughout this entire experience — cancellations, missing baggage, and significant out-of-pocket expenses — no apology or attempt to make things right was offered.

Travel disruptions happen, but the lack of communication, support, and basic customer care was extremely disappointing, especially when traveling with students.

Unbelievable terrible

Unbelievable terrible. When I was going to board, they've told us that we must dispatch our hand bags. When we entered the plane we find out that there was a LOT of remaining spaces for our bags. I told them that I was afraid because I had some medicines in glasses but they insisted that it was not possible to bring them in the plane. Imbecile situation and a team that were not capable to think and solve problems. Never again.
