AVOID AT ALL COST

An absolute disgrace of a company. My car was damaged back mid-March. This company was allocated by Hastings insurance to fix it. It’s now 30July and still not fixed. I’ve had every excuse under the sun, when I phone and speak to their representative, Adam. They cancelled both my first repair date, due to being too busy. The second repair date was cancelled due to still being too busy with other repairs. Next excuse was not being able to get the part, due to them being held up in Europe. It’s a bumper for a Ford Fiesta. Next excuse , their courtesy car fleet were all out, so couldn’t provide me with an automatic. Next, too busy, parts being held up in Europe, no courtesy cars available again. Next , their courtesy car fleet had been recalled, and they were waiting on new cars. Next, courtesy car fleet held up in Europe. Next, too busy, waiting on part, no courtesy car. Next, courtesy cars all out. Next, waiting on an automatic car from their fleet becoming available. Next , still waiting. Next, too busy, no courtesy car. Next, too busy. Next, hopefully should get an automatic for that weekend. Never heard back. Next, oh we don’t actually have any automatic cars in our fleet! (Eh????) Next, we’ll try and outsource one. Next, can’t get one. Next, you haven’t returned our recent call( !???), which I did and is still clearly logged on my phone! And I reminded them of our conversation. Next day, they tell me that my claim has been cancelled , due to NO CONTACT. I have literally phoned and spoken to this guy every two weeks, since my claim in mid March. I have been continually fobbed off, and repeatedly lied to. And I’m still sitting with a damaged car 5 months later. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

Joke of company

Joke of company. Had our accident early Jan, car wasn't picked up until 22nd March due to "parts" not being available. Appt changed twice and then just Found out last week our car was a write off. Nobody told us anything and every time we called they would have a different excuse.

Nearly 6 months and still waiting

Vehicle sent here for an insurance repair - and nearly 6 months later still not got it back! Every time I phone- seems to be a different story with why its not ready and what the latest delay is. I would never use this garage again and I would avoid letting your insurance company send your vehicle here. The only positive is that we have been provided with a courtesy car.

Car finally been returned after 10 weeks.

Car has finally been returned after 10 weeks since the original incident. Last week, I was told that a part needed for the repair wasn’t available and would not be for several weeks. I called Dentec and complained that it had been around 9 weeks since the incident, the level of service had been poor and that I was considering legal action.

Coincidentally, I received a call from Dentec on Thursday 9th December (a few days later), who said a part had been (magically) sourced and that the vehicle would be ready earlier than expected…what a difference a complaint makes!

Today, I received a call from Dentec saying that the car was ready but that it would have to be picked up from Dentec’s premises due to a lack of staff available. This was not the agreement the car was to be dropped off to a home address. The replacement car incidentally had a slow puncture when it was delivered (which has had to be inflated every other day since delivery) and an oil light illuminated as of yesterday.

To top that off, we left the premises today with a small hanging plastic sign, only to receive a demanding phone call asking we turn around and hand the sign in. I requested that someone from Dentec pick it up…not good enough for Dentec…no drivers available.

My experience with this organisation has been exceptionally poor. The stress and inconvenience throughout the process has been overwhelming.

Utter shambles.

Utter shambles.
Took my Van over 14 months ago for reasonably basic repairs.
Van originally came back as a potential death trap.
Had van away again for 5 days and still not repaired with same faults

Perhaps the worst level of communication and service I have received in my entire life.

I took my car into Dentec Scotland Ltd. to get a repair quote for some relatively minor damage to the front grill and bumper of my car. I chose this company because I had work done previously as part of an insurance claim and I was happy with the standard of the work provided. Initially staff were very helpful, taking all my details and pictures of the damage. They informed me that they were very busy and may not get around to me until the beginning of the following week which was fine. Ten days passed at which point I phoned to see if there was any progress. The reception staff were very apologetic and assured me that someone would get back to me before the end of the day. Nobody did. I phoned several times over the following fortnight, continually being told that someone would phone me back with my repair quote and nobody did. To cut a long story short, I eventually received a quote 24 days after I had initially taken my car in. As if this itself wasn't bad enough, the quote for the repair work came in at over £1300. The stated reason for the high cost was, I quote, "Due to the colour of your vehicle and the area of the repair we would require to blend the bonnet to ensure the colour was consistent". So basically, for very minor damage to the front bumper they wanted to respray the entire front end of my car including the bonnet and both wheel arches. Some readers may think that this is a fair enough statement. However, I had taken my car into this company around 18 months previous to repair much more substantial damage as part of an insurance claim and they were not concerned with the consistency of colour and did not respray my bonnet. I have since got it professionally repaired elsewhere for £150, the bumper was resprayed and there is no "inconsistency" in colour whatsoever. A complete disaster of an experience with this company, perhaps the worst level of communication and service I have received in my entire life. I will of course never use them again nor would I in any way recommend them to others.
