Dettol Reviews 

Recently purchased Dettol spray refill patches through an Amazon distributor . On examination all instructions were in Hungarian with an English label superimposed . Not a problem , however there was no sell by date on the pouches the only information being a bar code . Contacted Dettol UK , to try and establish if the product was still in date . Dettol requested photographs of the pouches which we supplied . 5 emails and nearly 3 weeks later we are no further forward . Every time we supply them with more information , they either come back with a different position the details would be or repeat questions for which we have given answers . The authenticity of these pouches are to us in doubt . Dettol seem to have very little interest as to that fact . As we were approaching the deadline for returning the pouches I contacted Amazon who as usual acted immediately to facilitate the return .Dettol products are in the market place which do not conform to standard market rules and to me I would have expected Dettol to be very concerned . Their final email suggested I contacted the distributor to sort out the problem . A national manufacturer with no interest as to an authenticity problem with their product is astounding , although not surprising looking at other reviews .

I contacted customer service three times by email. I finally got a response to my third enquiry. Unfortunately the response didn't offer any answer to my original questions, even after I reiterated what I was asking. It was as though the recipient did not understand simple English. In the end I rang the UK customer service. Considering that I was trying to alert the company to a design fault that made the product difficult to use for people with arthritis in their hands, I was taken aback that they really didn't seem to care at all.

This review is about the Dettol Surface Cleanser Spray. I'm not sure if this spray really kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, but the edges of the pump trigger are sharp as blades. I cut my fingers badly while using it. No matter how careful I am, it still happens. This trigger pump design is very poor. Wouldn't recommend.

unbelieveable that they dont get stoppede, it is so fake...nothing in this world remove 99% of all bacteria...unless your dead, this company is such a fraud

I gave this product 1star for the following reason.
My husband bought a bottle of Dettol Antibacterial Spray and Wear for his hats that could not be washed.
He sprayed the hats 2days ago.
The aroma of this spray is disgusting, it smells like rotting apples.
I have to say the hats smell fresh, but but the aroma still lingers in the room where the hats were sprayed. I wonder for how much longer. It smells as though a bottle of cider has been spilt on the carpet.
Will not purchase this product again.

Dettol washing machine cleaner over flowed product draw also still present in drum on end of cleaning cycle in BOSCH SERIE 6 machine think problem with this batch have used it before with no problems

So here is one of those companies who jumped on the “Bandwagon “ when COVID arrived !!! I remember calling their UK line but was put through to European call centre to put in a COMPLAINT as all of a sudden there Prices Inflated !!!! After buying DETTOL products for as long as I can remember, and been well priced the opportunity arose for them to join the Greedy Companies out there to PROFIT. I shall never forget !!!!

Still no feedback from DETTOL !!! Nothing ….. I find it worrying that a business with such a well known household name could ignore their customers ….. there LOSS !!!!

This business clearly is not interested in its valued customers, there are better products out there with different names, DETTOL should be concerned !!!!

This is just to say a big thank you to the team that was at Kings Cross Underground station this past week handing out pocket size bottles of hand sanitizers . They were very friendly and always smiling. Well Done the Kings Cross Team!!

Great products. Very effective against bacterial and viral infections for eg Coronavirus. very affordable and ranges from 50p to £3. They have great customer service and offer deals when you buy in bulk. They seem to always be ahead of time when it comes to innovation

I've decided to leave a full review on Dettol, I'm giving it 3 stars because their customer service aren't as foolish as the people designing the product. It would be rude not to give some credit somewhere. Maybe someone who works for Dettol can do something to improve the stuff that's supposed to help you clean. As this goes on, I'll be surprised if we still see bottles of this stuff stocked on supermarket shelves. The only thing it's good for is recycling the plastic bottle when it's all gone.
So I'm going to share my experience - Not good.

I decided to try it out for the first time, and a waste of £3 it was. It took about four hours to take a few particles of sugar off my work surface, I had to leave it to soak, grab a bucket full of warm water and splash it onto the worktop to get rid of the cold water that was a mixture of the Dettol spray itself and just water.
I've also come across radiators with more scent. I even put my nose to the nozzle and gave it a sniff. I expected a whiff of antiseptic, like a medical practice, but instead I could smell the sugar I'd knocked over on the worktop stronger than the actual Dettol spray that I'd decided to use to clean my home.
I went out after this, to my local Aldi, and I bought their own version multi-surface cleaner, and it worked much better. My kitchen is now clean all thanks to a cheaper and less common version of a product that is supposed to be known to do the trick. Humiliating.
I won't be using the product again, unfortunately.

Don't bother wasting your money on this, it's not worth it!

Product Defective NO Customer Service AT ALL

I purchased an aerosol product of theirs and it was totally blocked within 3 uses. I phoned their CS on 0845 7697079 on 27NOV17 about 09.00 and was told the matter would be dealt with. After hearing nothing from them I rang again on 20DEC17 10.28 re ref R076565670.
It is now 28FEB18 and still nothing heard. Perhaps their MD would like to tell me why he employs staff to deliberately ignore his customers!!
