Toxic AI moderation, poor contact, no replies. All art that is clearly 18+ is removed due to underage content. Their DCMA is fake, people can share and sell anything that's yours. DeviantArt is poison... See more

extremely bad moderation issues regarding kidnapping
saw a profile that has images of kidnapped woman, profile has been up for years and has had no age restrictions put in place, no maturity warnings, and no moderation actions done to the account, deviantart is dangerous.
DeviantArt is messed up!!!
DeviantArt supports cyber bullying underage predators and way to inappropriate art!!! I've been on the website for a good 6 years. I have now erased my account for a good reason. I happen to be a very big Pokémon fan necessarily, the one that I liked so much there's barely any art of it and if you want some you have to purchase a subscription which happens to be at least 98.5% of the time. You're chances of finding free Glaceon art is extremely limited plus it's very hard to navigate through the website. You click on the wrong thing and you might just be signing up for subscription that you don't even know that you did and you get charged and if they can't suck the money out of you automatically, they just send you a bill. I'm sorry DeviantArt I'm leaving and NEVER coming back!!!
Deviantart is a garbage dumpster
Deviantart is a garbage dumpster. I been there since 2007 and never seen it go down so hard.
With their constant shoving of AI "art" in the search engine, art taken down for "popular media and is not canon for child character to be drawn as an adult since minor"? Okay.
Doesn't explain one artist cherrysdesigns art taken down over an adult ninja school girl adoptable for consider child "p0rn".
Bad enough my art keeps getting taken down over pink SLIME art which has nothing to do with body fluids and was tag mature.
Finding actual human staff is like pulling teeth. Keep getting the generic violate policy. Funny they allow soft vore and some sex. Gawd forbid adult characters cosplaying for glorifying child p0rn.
Should be shut down
Should be shut down. Nothing but crap digital art which is drowning out the real artist.Anyone comes on here now with a paint program posts a drawing they did on a tablet and they think they are the best thing since sliced bread. Bull. Just weirdos posting some crap that a kid could do better on a real art group on FB.Not only that, nonces put Digital art of half naked Japanese school girls.Should be charged with child porn.
Just laughably bad
Just laughably bad. I wanted to hire a scifi illustrator so did a google search. That simple.
Never previously heard of them.
The absolute CRAP idea of answering automated and unconnected questions instead of speaking direct to a sales person is a chronically bad business model.
Literally got nowhere.
Bad for illustrators.
Bad for those wanting to hire illustrators.
Guess its back to the drawing board....
Deactivated my 15 years old account for good reasons
back when I started my residence in this site at 15 years ago, Deviantart back then was undeniably better website than Deviantart as it now exists(even when old-school deviantart wasn't that perfect).
I even started my mega-crossover fan project with IRL conspiracy Theories slapped onto in 2010, where I worked hard on this project.
as I become a better person, Deviantart ironically goes downhill
at the time when Rationalwiki user who's (probably) uses Kiwifarms bullied me for my fan-ideas and my worldviews, an Israeli company named Wix bought Deviantart and dragged this site through mud with Eclipse(that's too shallow for classic Deviantart cuz of wix' limitations) which's forced to everyone that use the site at May 20th 2020, wix also blindly chase trends at expense of Deviantart's userbase from NFTs to monetizations of AI generated works(which's always more of copyright Infringement than Fanarts/Fanfics that's drawn from scratch, so that's why Deviantart got the receiving end of the lawsuit whose possibly the only way deviantart avoid the chopping block was wins Pyrrhic victory).
Deviantart are also blindly supporting Israel and it's genocide against Palestinians, one of the reason Deviantart is sold to wix was to call anyone who thinks not all Jewish people are goody 2 shoes as "Antisemite"(even when whoever accused for antisemitism are have nothing against Jewish people)
that's why I sunsetted my 15 years old Deviantart account for myself supporting Palestine among other reasons
not to mention my mega-crossover fanproject are salvaged into bunch of other websites after I delete my mega-crossover group there(which's the only reason I reactivating my deviantart)
more reasons I deactivate my deviantart: mental health ones
Enjoy what you want to see, Ignore the rest.
I have refined my search parameters on DeviantArt to get what I want to see: Anthropomorphic Foxes and Felines. Realistic, attractive, cute, nude not lewd.
I quickly skim past hanging genitals, sex acts, unbelievably huge breasts and unbelievable body building. My preferences may not match yours, but "to each their own".
Clogged up with AI rubbish
Clogged up with AI rubbish, promotes selling such things for money.
It has lost the fun charm it had when I was younger. The stash is useful and community events can be fun for prompts but that's about it.
How the mighty have fallen.
I have been on this site for 10+ years and I am SHOCKED how a once beloved site has become such an unrecognizable mess.
This site doesn't care about its users anymore. I've submitted multiple tickets in regards to missing comments in a reply thread over the years (4 years to be exact. Since Eclipse) and all are met with generic responses. I've even suggested possible solutions but they seem to be ignored. I've asked for a manager as well, in which case they 'mysteriously' stop responding.
I have YEARS worth of roleplays I can't view due to their broken comment section. They don't care. Avoid this site, any sense of community that was once there has been destroyed.
Dumpster fire
Whoever runs the site now should be ashamed.
Profit over morals.
Needs vast improvements, but has some potential…….
The price of core and pro memberships is extremely over priced! If you decide to pay a reduced fee (something they do to lure you) and try it out they will automatically take the full price out of your bank account a year later with no warning!
This happened to me and I lost over a couple of hundred dollars and left me with no money in my account to live on or to pay bills.
This makes this site very untrustworthy in my view.
Vulnerable people such as the intellectually disabled will be easily taken advantage of and exploited by their auto renew subscription scheme.
There is potential for it to be a great site and the best thing about it are that there are many good, kind, well mannered artists on it encouraging and supporting each other totally, however sadly there are many shady people on it too.
There are frequent scammers scamming and too little seems to be done about this, especially in the way of warning users (Deviants).
There is also a whole lot of pornographic and often very sickening images and the site seems to turn a blind eye to this.
When you have a problem with billing or refunds that you wish to discus, your emails are ignored which speaks loudly about how much they value the users of their site.
Their regular challenges are good, but they do focus on “adoptables” a little too much for my liking.
The various badges and awards that they give are a good idea and it encourages artists to keep trying at doing art in order to collect them.
Being highlighted as an artist or having your art highlighted in any way by deviant art seems to be a hard feat to do, and I notice that a lot of times they will repeatedly favour the same artists.
Currently they are encouraging the use of AI, even though it is not real art and is opposed by the vast majority of artists on their site.
I feel if they really valued and supported artists and real art then they would not be encouraging the use of AI or using AI programs.
There are many sites and social networks that you can use for free to promote or sell your art, so Deviant Art needs to greatly lower the costs of their memberships and improve the site so that it is worth using it for the fees they charge.
The site also focuses mostly on “adoptables” which are simple quickly made cartoon styled characters, and the sales of these “adoptables” and focuses least on real art that has taken a whole lot of care, time and work to achieve.
Deviant art needs to improve their priorities and value their users/real artists far more than they currently do, or they are falsely advertising themselves as a social “Art” site and misleading people.
I do sincerely hope they manage to improve their site in the future as I hear often how good this site was years ago.
DeviantArt's Policies
It used to be a free website for everyone weather it had fetish art or not, but know it has gotten to strict with it's policies. Espescially when it comes to art centered around fictional children; if a child's inflated and it's not sexual at all and mostly for the cartoon gag, DA will delete it thinking it's child sexual harrassment even if said child is fictional, if the artist does not have a sexual appeal to inflated children, or if said child is from official media or owned by an individual creator and was inflated one or several times before.
I understand the safety of children, but it's not physically doing anything to anyone in real life.
Besides, DeviantArt wasn't made for children in mind in the first place, it was made for people 15 and up.
I joined back in early 2000s due to…
I joined back in early 2000s due to illness I was inactive for few years, I logged back in a few days ago and here are my observations.
1: its full of potentially illegal porn or underage anime girls and illegal Ai porn including beastie and furies. there are people who upload deep fakes of celebrities also
2:the DA forums are full of trolls and cyber bullies. when I returned the first thing I was greeted by was some creepy artist : Bartales that posts nothing but creepy images of children.
3:when you report images of minors DA staff ask you for proof as in they want you to prove that the artists uploaded minors before they will do anything which is wrong on so many levels.
Avoid like the plague unless you are rolf harriss and if thats the case you are sick.
deviantart staff are very scummy corrupt people
DA staff literally scam and steal people's money I was one of the victims
they would steal your cards, private information, anything to make a dime then ban you, they love stealing your information and refuse to say anything, its utterly a scummy and illegal tactic they've been doing for years, and I'm surprised no one has filed a lawsuit against the site and company behind it.
doesn’t care about artists
doesn’t care about artists, promotes ai art on platform
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! MIGRATE OUT IF YOU CAN!
So Deviant art has been giving me more of a reason to hate it.
I had gotten core pro plus for one whole year in august, and in October I paid to extend which it says on the plan selection.
I extended the plan and instead of giving me a month extension, it overwrote my year membership and I lost my spent money on it and now have a monthly plan.... until I found out when I cancelled my monthly plan!
IDK how this is even allowed or legal when it specifically shows extend! It's literally not that hard to just have it as switch for existing year members! Extend sounds like what it should do, not cancel your year membership that you paid for!!
THEY WON'T REFUND ME!! This is sooo stupid because there was NO disclaimer!! Everywhere else has a proper extension!
UPDATE:
They will suspend me if I don't take down my works that supposedly has characters under 18 and THEY ARE not under 18!!, I have the proof too and they are too dumb to acknowledge it!
I make NSFW content and I follow the rules and when I dispute with proof they decline it!
Now when they told me to take down works I asked them what to remove even though I don't need to, THEY WON'T TELL ME!!
ALSO i HAVE TRIED TO REPORT USERS/IMAGES AS AS WELL AND IT SHOWS THEY ALREADY REVIEWED IT WHEN CLEARLY THE WORKS ARE NOT ALLOWED!!
WHATEVER YOU DO NEVER SIGN UP TO DA!! THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I'M GLAD I LEFT THEM AND NOW NOT AT THEIR MERCY OF THEIR TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND MODERATION!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!
DeviantArt WILL install malware on your…
DeviantArt WILL install malware on your device. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE THIS SITE!!!!
I love this site
Ran by a bot
Overall thought was a good place to post art, but terrible customer service, I upgraded to core membership to change my user name but kept getting an error, I contacted them about 5 times and no reply so I cancelled the subscription and went else where. I think it’s ran by a bot.
horrid company overall.
They support Israel and the genocide of innocent Palestinians.
They also gladly give a platform to AI "art" thiefs.
The site just overall lost all originality and personality it had in the 2010's, where you could personalize your own page as an attempt to oversimplify everything and look like ArtStation. You suck.
