Poor Communication and Delayed Refund
I had a very disappointing experience with DFS. I was initially told that my finance application had been approved, but shortly afterwards I received an email saying it had actually been declined. I was then asked to pay the full amount instead, which wasn’t an option for me, so I cancelled the order.
It has now been almost a month, and I am still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. The inconsistent communication and the long delay have made this a very frustrating experience. I expected much better customer service and a much smoother refund process.

I am really sorry to hear you're not happy with the process of ordering using finance, this is very disappointing to hear and it is not our intention to make customers feel this way.
We do like to give our customers the opportunity of keeping the order for furniture but with an alternative payment method if they still require the goods. Due to this we do like to call ensuring alternative options have been offered to see how our customers would like to proceed before processing the refund
I have taken a look into your order and can see the store have contacted you to discuss the deposit however I have requested for the deposit to be refunded back to you.

Experience of DFS Stevenage…
Spent quite a while in DFS Stevenage narrowing our sofa choices down to 2 . We were then assisted in making our final choice by a sales assistant . They were informative without being pushy .They explained the points about both of our choices enabling us to make a more informed decision. The cost was reasonable with many choices of fabric for our sofa and many combinations of seating . The delivery time scale was reasonable , all we have to do is arrange removal of our old furniture as DFS no longer do this .Overall very safisfied with purchasing experience .
