They don't deliver what they say. I now have to pay over €80 more than i was paying before. Stay way from this company.
Scammers!
Although I informed them that my move in date was postponed for 2 weeks they did not adjust the starting date and just cancelled my contract instead. On top they charged me 125€ for these 2 weeks. Scammers, stay away!

In November 2022, I replaced the dgb through telemarketing. It turned out that this was a fraud. The salesman did not explain that electricity and gas were two separate bills, neither of which was 400+ euros. In addition, in March this year, I received a bill of 1,000 euros from dbg, and the payment has been automatically deducted. The content is that the expensive natural gas unit price in December 2021 is 1.9 euros per cubic meter.

I can't believe this company would have 5 stars. Scammer. Working together with recruiter, and contracted more than 10 times of price from offer signed with recruiter. Impossible to lower down the price, never reply emails. Very welcome to leave and pay them penalty. Good luck!

This company tricked my little sister a student in the Netherlands to change her energy contract because they would increase the prices. Being new here and not speaking the language she thought this would be better and changed her contract after multiple times repeating on the phone with the callcenter guy that they will NOT charge her more than 178 euros for her Gas and electricity bill. She repeated this a bunch of times and then they sent her an offer which clearly stated that this will be the charged amount 178 euros. After a lot of pushing my sister finally gave in and then a few weeks later she gets a bill of almost 700 euros just for gas. Tried calling them and the harassed her and threatened her that they will cut her energy if she can't pay. Which she can't!!! how is this possible that after all these experiences, this company is still able to scam innocent people? How can we close this place?? if anyone has some advice on how we can terminate this and take legal action it will be much appreciated!!

Tricking vulnerable elderly people into contacts
They (or an associated callcenter) tricked my vulnerable, trusting mother into signing up for their service, pretending to be a different energy company and being generally vague and misleading.
Their emails end up in the spamfolder which happens to be a convenience for them.

Scam artists posing as energie supplier. Ripping people off with the small print. Government should shut them down.
Phone scam - BEWARE!
They cold call you, telling they can offer a better rate than your current supplier - but it's a lie. I fell for it a few months ago, luckily I was able to stay with the current one.
They tried to convince me the move was already done and that I had no choice on the matter, as I was saying that any other supplier was fine they hung up.
They were recently fined for this practice.
De ACM heeft energieleverancier DGB een boete van 400.000 euro opgelegd voor het misleiden van consumenten bij het telefonisch verkopen van energiecontracten. DGB zette andere bedrijven in om consumenten op te bellen om energiecontracten te verkopen. Deze tussenpersonen vertelden bij de verkoopgesprekken niet dat ze namens DGB belden om een energiecontract aan te bieden. Ook werd belangrijke informatie over bijvoorbeeld de looptijd, opzegboetes, het tarief en het totale jaarbedrag niet of pas laat in het gesprek gemeld.

My personal experience with them was exactly as described by many other reviews. I received a call from a very pushy lady that tried to scare me about inminent rising prices of gas and electricity. Somehow she had all my personal details, including my bank account number. The lady claimed that Innova Energie, my current energy supplier, was going to start charging me abusive rates without any notice. The lady straight up lied to me saying that I had to sign the contract on that day or that it would be invalid but the contract actually was valid for 3 more days.
Do you have any doubts about whether to sign the contract? Contact your current energy supplier and ask them for advice regarding the situation.
Do you need more evidence about this company being an absolute scam? Google search about DGB being recently fined 400K euros for abusive and misleading telemarketing
Did you fall for the scam and sign the contract? You have a 14-day cooling-off / reflection period so you have the right by Dutch law to cancel the contract straight away.
Are the 14 days over and you're stuck with outrageous rates? I recommend lawyering up and good luck.

Even 1 star is too much for this irresponsible and fraudulent company. Which company will raise the energy cost by 200% percent in 2 weeks even with long term contract.

I didn't even knew they existed, somehow my contract with other company ended without my permission and dgb was my energy provider. I signed back with that previous company and this happened again. When I ask them who is using my information to do this they never respond and when I end contract suddenly they start responding with threatening letters to pay money or they will cut off my energy. Worst experience ever. I am filing a complaint against them and other people should too and shut down this scam company
SCAM COMPANY DO NOT GIVE BANK DETAILS
Do not trust this company and DO NOT give them your bank details. They ignore contractual obligations and agreements. I agreed a contracted monthly fee with this company and they decided to increase the payment by 1000% and emptied my bank account. Refusing to pay it back and I had to get the bank involved so at least I could eat that month.
Then the company claimed I'd broken the contract and tried to charge even more. I stood up to them and just like any bully they run away like the cowards they are. This company and it's owners just want money and do not care what they do to people to get it.

My previous supplier played bankrupt. Before I realized DGB took my contract over and charge me 510 euros for the first month. After concluding a better contract they deducted a further 300. No one answers the phone or anything. It's insane to pay 800 euros for 2 people in a one-bedroom apartment within 30 days.

I wouldn't even give DGB a one star! Absolute trash and scam! When my contract started they charged me total 624 euros (gas and electricity) as a monthly rate instead of 150 by contract, without even any warning. Then they promised to return it by Eindnota after a year. Unlawfully broke my contract saying that I did not pay one month, which I did. And sent me an eindnota with 'Opzegvergoeding (BTW vrij)' worth of 250 euros as a fee for me breaking the contract, which they unlowfully broke! And this is on top of thee 624 owed to me.
How they still function? Scamming and robbing people?

They terminated our contract without warning due to a couple of payments being taken a few days late. Instead, they should have contacted us and perhaps changed the collection date. Customer service was not very helpful and when i mentioned that a policy like this will lose them, customers ..she just said 'yes we are' anyway changed company and saving money also :)

I have been mislead and tricked by this company. They told me that I will not change my energy provider only renew my contract. They distracted my so much that I believed it. At the end indeed I change to them and after few months ending their contract I had to pay more than 500 EUR on top on the monthly costs! while with my previous provider I got even money back at the end of the year. Don’t trust this company!
