They lost my package and now the place…
They lost my package and now the place I ordered from is out of half my order. I am only getting half of what I wanted and it is DHL’s fault.
I will never use DHL services again
I will never use DHL services again.
They updated my package will be delivered on 4/26, but it did not out for delivery whole day. So I contacted them at 5pm on 4/26 and I requested to change delivery date to 4/27 and they said they changed the delivery date to 4/27 and it will be delivered on that day. But it did not out for delivery whole day again. I hate this service. Same situation happened last year too.
Terrible shipping.
i ordered my glasses a week and a half ago and they still haven't sent me a damn shipping update. Customer service is friendly & helpful though.
Worst delivery service (or whatever that is)
I had never use dhl myself to send anything, but got an international shipment sent to me. The worst experience ever. The company seems to be run by like a small coffee shop (and I'm sure they even do a better job) not by a multinational company. First day a driver called me asking me for my address because they said it was wrong. I gave the indications on the phone but never received it. Called the driver back and he said it couldn't deliver it but it will be delivered the next day. I checked the webpage and it was still asking for a corrected address, so I went ahead and corrected it again. Next day nothing showed up. Called them and same thing: "there was a missunderstanding but it will be delivered tomorrow". Ok, things could happen once in a while. Waited another day and nothing. I checked the webpage and it said they tried to delivery but I wasn't home. Just a straight LIE, I have cameras in my door and nobody came that day. I decided to tell them I'd pick it up, so they gave me a "partner" address to pick it up but it has taken two days to deliver it to that place. They said I'd receive a confirmation email when I could pick it up but no email has come up (wouldn't be surprised if their mail system doesn't work), so I decided to call the site and confirm they received it. All in all a nightmare experience. I filed a complain on one of the calls (about the driver saying he came home), and they said someone would call me the next day to follow up...... Yeah! rigth! Haven't heard from them unless I'm the one calling every day to check my delivery.
Worst Shipping Company I have EVER Used!
MY FOUR MONTH NIGHTMARE IS FINALLY OVER.
Years ago, I used DHL on behalf of my employer who was routinely shipping household goods and personal belongings to France. After many terrible experiences and spending exorbitant sums on shipping fees, I swore to never use them again.
I am now retired and living in Mexico. I wanted to ship some personal belongings from CA to myself in Mexico and DHL seemed like the most reasonable, viable option. I thought that perhaps they had improved over the years since I had last used them. I carefully packed two boxes, meticulously filled out their ridiculous paperwork, called the local office to confirm that I was doing everything correctly and was assured that all was well. the boxes were picked up by a very friendly courier who advised me that he wasn't going to be the one inspecting my boxes (which remained unsealed) but that would be done in the office. I assumed that if there was a problem or if anything further was needed from me, someone from the local DHL office would contact me. Email and phone number were provided. I never heard a word so assumed that all was well.
A couple of weeks later I was back in Mexico and received word that my packages were here. Woohoo! So excited. Looks like it might actually go smoothly this time. (Side note: these two boxes cost me an arm and a leg to ship, as well as promises to send my first born child.) i went to my local DHL office in Tulum to pick up my boxes with great excitement. Had to stand in line outside in the hot sun for about 30 or 40 minutes due to COVID restrictions. Finally got in, presented my paperwork, only to be told that no, my packages were NOT here. They were stranded in Customs in Mexico City and Here is the number you need to call. Uh-oh.
I called and of course, no one speaks English so we struggle in Spanish and finally resort to email where we can both use Google Translate with some ease. Well, where I can because I translated what she said to me in Spanish and I had to translate my responses into Spanish for her.
Mind you i am shipping to myself my USED personal belongings...no electronics, nothing expensive or out of the ordinary. just my STUFF to make my new life in Mexico a little more comfortable. Without being specific as to what the items in question were, they said there were problems with my shipment and they needed me to get a VISA from the US Consulate to admit my items. WHAT!? I have never heard of such a thing. It was ridiculous. I, to this day, have no idea of what the problem really was. This went on for about 2 weeks. I finally told them to ship the boxes back, which they would do for no charge (the ONLY glimmer of real customer service here.) to top it off, we were only talking about one box this whole time. Once I released that box to be returned, they started inquiring about the OTHER box with a whole new person. By now, my patience was gone. I just told the person that I wanted her to send it back to the US.
they did, but it took a good 6 to 8 weeks to finally be returned and believe me, when those boxes showed up, they looked like they had been through the wars. I was back in CA by now so i was there when they came.
Meanwhile, I started demanding a refund. As I mentioned I paid an exorbitant amount of money to ship these boxes. As you might expect, there was a lot of back and forth that took several weeks, but I finally got someone to agree to refund my money via CHECK mailed to my US address (even tho I paid by credit card) Said it would take 3-4 weeks. I waited and waited. Nothing showed up. So I finally wrote to them again and got a new person who, after about 10 days agreed to refund me by crediting my original form of payment (as it should be!) and about 3 days later I did actually receive that.
so the nightmare is finally over; I waited until I got my refund to write this review. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. On the expat pages here in Tulum where I live, when people ask the best way to ship things, I refer them to UPS or FedEx and explicitly tell them not to use DHL. I'm not the only one either. Many others recommend against them. I seriously don't know how they stay in business with their ineptitude and extremely poor customer service. I will never, EVER use this company again, no matter what. And I don't recommend that you do either!
Unbelievably BAD
Unbelievably BAD! I received notice a package was on its' way. I went to the web site, wanting to know who sent the package. The automatic tracker was "still learning" and said it couldn't help. I tried the phone customer service and it wouldn't allow me to enter the tracking number DHL provided. Their web page has an automatic email service which I filled out but only received an immediate notification that the web service didn't work either. I called phone customer service and reached a recording that said all their employees were in a meeting and that I should call back in an hour. I'm not holding my breath that I'll get any information when I call back in an hour. Nothing else works, why would that? Trustpilot should really have a zero rating which would more accurately represent NO SERVICE, which is what I received.
Communication can be bad times but…
Communication can be bad times but delivery has always been consistent!
DHL No Service + No Communication
I ordered an item on Amazon on the 27th of November, it was sent through DHL USA, then the issues started, DHL will not communicate any issues to the person that's supposed to receive the parcel and give the most vague updates when tracking the package online. Attempting to contact them via their phone system takes you to an automated system with no way to get to an actual person and all it does is just read out the last update with no extra information.
I attempted to contact them but eventually only managed to find out the issue from Amazon's support on the 6th of January stating that the item was damaged during shipment. I then decided to reorder with Amazon and this time, the updates just stopped on the 18th of January, I contacted DHL ZA about it and they eventually responded that DHL needs a copy of my ID which I then sent and on the 3rd of February, there was another update about customs clearance status and then nothing for 2 weeks at which point I sent them an email and received no updates, I contacted them again 2 more weeks later (more or less around the 8th of March) and finally managed to get a response via email stating that they could not find the item. I attempted to email them twice since then, once on the 12th on the day I received the response asking if there's some way to get free priority shipping since this issue was on their side and I've waited for the item since the 27th of November only for that email to be completely ignored, I then sent another email around 5 days later asking for an update on the previous email and that email was ignored too. I finally called them today (22nd of March) and found out that there's no way to even upgrade an existing shipment to a priority shipment and that the only thing they could do is to refund the item and shipment (which Amazon has already done).
DHL doesn't care about their mistakes and the frequency of them and responds to every single mistake of theirs in the same copy-pasted way ignoring the urgency of any package being sent.
TL;DR: If you care about when your package will arrive and don't want to just wait around for months, do not use DHL, I will also be warning my friends about using DHL.
DO NOT TRUST ANY DHL COMPANY!!
DO NOT TRUST ANY DHL COMPANY!!! THEY ARE THE WORST COURIER COMPANY -
DEPLORABLE -
Please read! This is not a review after 1 isolated incident!!
I have had DOZENS of problems With this company! Where i am sender and where I am merely recipient after buying online!
The German branch of the DHL monster company have lost 2 parcels - they are particularly aggressive and rude - there is NO English lines to call and when you call the German line they shout and laugh in German saying “NON! NON ENGLISH!!” I was using Google translate and the employees shouted and laughed (in a aggressive way) and mocked me - before hanging up! This happened with both instances where the parcels with sent with DHL Germany
I have had parcels go missing sent with DHL UK, DHL PARCEL, DHL ES (Spain) DHL DE(Germany) DHL EXPRESS, ... Many if not all of the DHL divisions - ALL have lost the items, left them in random places, asked random people to sign, claimed they have attempted delivery when they have not and have returned the items to sender - ALL!!
It is appalling DHL are permitted to trade!
I never leave reviews but this company is beyond APPALLING - they need to be stopped by trading standards!
dozens of instances of DHL losing my parcels or delivering to RANDOM addresses including:
* left a heavy furniture item at a random petrol station!!! Had no idea who the signee was!! Looked him up on FB and luckily found he owned a petrol station where the item was left!
* lost a big parcel containing all my clothes and other items required while i stay with my father who is suffering cancer abroad - lost for 5 1/2 months- they have no means of investigating where the parcel went after last scan - no replies to emails on vet the months, no explanation on what had been attempted, simply say “we emailed international team, they don’t know; sorry for inconvenience. file a claim attaching receipts for every item”
*tracking advising item is ready for collection at “service point”- does not explain where the service point is - no way to speak to a human to find out - used online service to locate nearest service point, the closest listed did not have the item. The item then says collection time expired not collected returned - with no way of finding out where it was being held in order to collect!!
99.9% NO HUMAN CUSTOMER SERVICE VIA TELEPHONE- automated messages only!
IF YOU finally find a way to get through to a human if they are in another jurisdiction (Germany particularly) they hang up and laugh at you,Spain and others simply cannot speak English and hang up!
NO means between offices to communicate with colleagues in other countries DHL offices.
NO EMAIL RESPONSES
NO RESPONSES to Investigation claims!
RUDE ARROGANT EMPLOYEES ON FB CHAT WHO RESPOND AFTER DAYS WITH SHORT 1 LINE REPLYS WHICH ARE OF NO USE.
LABYRINTH OF CONNECTED DHL COMPANIES ALL WHICH SAY THEY ARE INDEPENDENT- ALL FAIL TO GIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TRUST DHL!
I wish I could give them negative…
I wish I could give them negative stars. I paid $900 for shipping and it was supposed to be delivered last Thursday... It is now the following Tuesday. Customer service is all foreign country based and none of them speak English. I was told lat Thursday it would be delivered by Friday end of day. I was told on Friday it would be Monday. I was told Monday that it would be Tuesday. On Tuesday I was told it is out on the truck for delivery and would be delivered by 4 pm. It is now after 5 and I am being told that it was never actually on the truck and maybe tomorrow. This is garbage service from a once great company that has outsourced its quality for profits. If I wanted to be treated like this I would've paid USPS a $100 to do the same job. GARBAGE!!
Constructive Criticism...
Constructive Criticism...
(Because I can understand how scammers can easily rip DHL off. I’m tempted to rip you off myself, because it’s so simple.)
1. You need to contact customers via email or post, NOT text. Text messages look seedy and are usually ignore.
2. Address customers by name. And, make sure names are spelt / spoken correctly. If you can’t speak English, learn it.
2. You need to create a tab on the HOME PAGE of your website for custom duty charges. No links within pages. Make it clear how to pay. Unless you don’t want us to...
3. Don’t release items from customs or continue to process order if a duty tax is due. It makes the texts/letters look fake/unimportant.
4. Stop using foreign people for your customers services. If I’m calling from the US, I expect to hear an American accent on the other side of the phone. Likewise for your U.K. department.
5. Stick to one phone number for general enquires. I’ve found three different numbers on your website. And, then a member of your customers services team gave me a fourth.
6. Print your invoices on better paper. Or at least, make sure the paper is straight when it’s printing. Invoices look like a scam when the bills are wonky.
7. Allow customers to contact you via email. Social media just shouts ‘no privacy’.
8. Your envelopes need to be more formal. Add the logo.
9. You need ONE dedicated phone number or email address for import tax queries. Trying to pay YOU is like trying to get blood out of a stone.
10. Your ‘epayments’ crashes way to often. Try fixing it.
BONUS
Rather than running DHL on the bare minimum, Invest. You get back what you put in. If all your reviews are 1 star, (which the majority of them are clear to see) try changing.
We want to like you. But, you’re not making it easy.
If you’d like any more ways to prevent scammers from robbing you blind, just let me know.
This is the worst of the worst courier…
This is the worst of the worst courier Company do not use DHL company Especially DHL express. They lost my package 1st they change my tracking number without notifying the sender or the recipient them they deliver my package to different city. Those people who change it should have be fired out of their job. They don't know what are they doing and they really don't care.
Liars
Said they came and we were out. We were in, and we have a NEST doorbell and nobody came. This is pure lies and is a disgraceful way to conduct business. Thank you for causing an inconvenience DHL.
Once again DHL deliver (or not)!
Once again, there is NO half star!!
I already had a bad experience with DHL and see the review in my profile, so I was wary of the outcome when the Kickstarter project stated my book was sent via DHL.
To top it all, they informed me that due to CoVid they were required to ask for an additional $60+ to ship it Internationally (Remember that!).
So, intermittently I checked the tracking code to see progress. The days went by...It reached 33 ays in transit! I reached out to DHL and they washed their hands saying they handed it over to a local courier. The fact was/is, they gave it to the local post office, and the fact is DHL operate in my country.
I paid for a serve from DHL. I assume I would have it delivered door-to-door! It's a disgrace that I now have to go to my local post office to collect it. This was a $60+ shipment that cost more than the book inside.
Never use DHL!
HORRIFIC!!
I've unfortunately had MANY experiences with this horrible company as a couple of my subscription services ship thru them(I HAVE NO IDEA WHY)-needless to say, in the last yr n half or so, I can honestly say(I have a monthly subscription, also including other various packages shipped thru them)-that they have lost ATLEAST HALF of those packages, n nearly every single one has been delayed!!!! To date, I have never received so much as a single email in response to this, certainly not any reimbursement (other than directly from the company I ordered from-again-why they would stay with DHL is beyond me considering the amount of money they are losing because of them!)Or ANY RESOLVE WHATSOEVER!! Like I said, they haven't even bothered to answer a single ONE of my complaints. There is one particular location/sorting warehouse that my packages go thru every time, and EVERY SINGLE TIME, w/out fail, my package gets "lost" or DELAYED, but by WEEKS OR MONTHS!!!! HOW IS THIS OKAY?! Where are all of these packages going???!! They are absolute thieves and somehow continue to operate and steal/lose/delay packages on a regular basis!!! They're awful, the entire company, from beginning to end!!!!! BEWARE!!!
Puts on hold too much
Good carrier, if they didn't say they missed you when they weren't there in the first place. Puts on hold too much. Extremely quick shipping but it always puts on hold.
