My package has been stuck in the same…

My package has been stuck in the same place for days with absolutely no movement and no explanation. The tracking hasn't updated once. I tried reaching customer service and it was completely useless — no one could tell me where my package is or when it will arrive. It feels like it has simply disappeared. Totally unacceptable. I would give zero stars if I could.

DHL Germany is unreliable

DHL Germany is easily the most unreliable delivery service I’ve ever dealt with. Packages go missing, arrive damaged, or don’t show up at all. Tracking is inaccurate, and customer service is completely useless.

To make matters worse, Amazon relies heavily on them in Germany, so you’re basically stuck with this service whether you like it or not.

It honestly feels like no one at DHL even reads these reviews—because nothing ever changes. When it seems like 80% of reviews are 1 star, that says everything.

With their near-monopoly, there’s zero accountability and zero urgency to improve. At this point, using DHL feels like a gamble. Avoid if you have any other option.

Save your money and walk there yourself

I paid a premium for "Express" shipping to ensure my parcel arrived on Thursday before noon. That deadline was missed without explanation. I was then told I could at least pick it up from a collection point today (Friday) before noon. After calling them to confirm, I’ve now been told it won’t be available until Monday.

It is genuinely insulting to charge high fees for time-sensitive delivery and then fail to meet three separate deadlines. I’ve essentially paid DHL a premium to hold my property hostage for four extra days. At this rate, I could have traveled to the sender and brought it back myself faster and with significantly less stress.

If you actually need an item by a specific date, do not trust this company. A complete and utter let down.

Would give Zero Stars if I could.

I have never received a DHL Parcel on Time. Everything they're supposed to deliver is delayed for no reason and more than half of my Orders end up in shady Shops across the City.
Couriers drive straight past my House and lie about no one being home, put the pick-up information in my Mailbox and then proceed to keep the Parcel in their Van for a few Days after I'm supposedly able to go pick them up.

Getting into Contact with DHL is absolutely impossible, you get a crappy Chat-bot that can't help you with anything and the most useless FAQ of all time. Zero possibility to get any actual Human to ask about all these Problems.

It's incredible how bad a Company can be at the only thing it does.

According to today's delivery driver it doesn't matter that my parcel is in the van, it can stay there since she drives past every day anyway. So delivery dates don't matter?

I am very angry about the delivery service!!!

I am very angry about the delivery service of flowers!This is no way to run a business!I paid for home delivery. I ordedred flowers for retired lady's birthday, and she has expecting a surprise at home!But no one showed up, phoned or left flowers with the neighbors This company forced the lady to travel 5.5 km to get flowers herself. She doesn't have a car, and the bus doesn't go to the village where the bouquet was left. Horrible! Thanks to friends for their help!

DHL working with Indian Customs to Overcharge UK Customers

Sent a package to India , value £20 , postage was £48
That's ok .
However Customs in India are working with DHL to rip off customers further .
DHL changed the value of 3 T shirts at , wait for £800 and want £490 to release the package.
Shameful , should be Fined for this

Horrible

Horrible. Some people there are hard working, but most will just leave packets wherever because „you weren‘t home when they came by“. They‘ll also deliver later than they say they will. Fuckheads seriously.

I had one of the worst delivery…

I had one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve ever had.

My parcel was marked as delivered, but no one rang my doorbell. I work from home, so this is simply not true.

I contacted customer service for three consecutive days, and each time I was just told to “wait until tomorrow”. No real help was provided.

Then I was told the package was delivered to a neighbour — a person who does not exist in my building.

On top of that, the customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and even ended calls abruptly without resolving anything.

This is not just a mistake — this is a complete failure in delivery and customer support.

I will not be using this service again.

"I used to work as a driver for DHL…

"I used to work as a driver for DHL here in Germany, and I’m leaving with the worst possible impressions. The stress is unreal. They tell you that you have a 30-minute break, but with the heavy workload, there’s actually zero time to take it. After 7 months on the job, I’m completely burnt out. Now I totally get why delivery drivers in Germany don't ring doorbells or end up sending packages to the wrong places

I’ve used them for years and never had…

I’ve used them for years and never had problems. Now you can pay online and bring the package to a shop (beside my house) and they scan the QR code and print the label. So easy and with the tracking number everything is easy and secure. They always deliver to the package station beside my house so it’s easy to pick up packages. Maybe luck but everything has worked out well over the last 10 years living in Germany. Packages sent to Canada and Portugal have also arrived every time.

Compared to GLS or other companies, DHL/Deutschepost is the best.

Extremely rude support agent

Extremely rude support agent, trying to blame the wrong addressing of the parcel on me, despite me being the recipient, inquiring about an incorrect status of my parcel in the tracking app. Never use their services, I've never had the displeasure of talking to an agent this rude . New low.

Tracking shows no information

We regularly import shipments from Germany to the UK and have done this for over 10 years without too many problems until recently. In the past few weeks we have had three shipments where the DHL tracking says no information available, which is frustrating as we have to pay duty and VAT before the shipment can be delivered and we need to know when to pay duty and VAT. Their partner in the UK is Royal Mail/Parcelforce which sends a snailmail card with the charges and this can mean we miss the payment deadline. DHL can only be contacted by a chargeable phone and the chat bot sends us round in ever decreasing circles. DHL - get this sorted as this is unacceptable`.

LOST PACKAGE, NO UPDATES FOR 4 MONTHS

My shipment was cancelled in December, and the company did not provided any information of what they would be doing with my package.
That happened in December, and since then I've been trying to reach the Costumer Support; all my requests were ignored and neglected.
It's been FOUR months!
I NEED MY PACKAGE BACK!

The company who looses packages and has arrogant customer service

The worst company who is always late and looses packages, has the worst web to find what you need and the worst customer service. At least in Germany. Shame on workers who dont even understand the country language where they are working and also starting from the beginning of the conversation with almost screaming on the customer saying things like „did you try to check the website or you are just making it up?“ seriously? And then after 10 min battle he tries himself and fails because the web is not working. At the end no help and „oh actually I dont work with international parcels“. Really? I told it on the first 20 seconds of our 11 minute useless arrogant call.
Their web AI chatbot is also no help and online customer service is also useless who doesnt know their own service.
Better to have all names of those customer service guys and fire them all for this kind of work.
Enough for me and never again use this.
