Knowingly delivering incomplete order.

Delivered part of an order from B and Q. Driver phoned me before the drop off and never mentioned that part of the order was missing. Weeks later I still haven't got. One is blaming the other. Terrible service. Driver says it happens all the time.

1 Star – Incompetent, Dishonest, and Completely Unreliable

This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a courier company, and DHL Ireland should be absolutely ashamed of the way they’ve handled this.
I shipped multiple parcels to Marseille which were marked as delivered to a service point. In reality, the parcels were never received by the recipient. When I contacted DHL, they outright refused to acknowledge that the parcels were lost, insisting they had been delivered, even though there was no proof, no follow-up, and no willingness to investigate.
Then, suddenly, they claimed they had located the parcels and asked me to provide a new delivery address. I did exactly that, and guess what? They failed to deliver again. On top of that, they stopped communicating entirely.
Weeks later, out of nowhere, the parcels were returned to my original address in Dublin. After all the denials, false assurances, and wasted time, the packages somehow made it back to me, and that absolutely blew my mind.
This is a company that refuses to take responsibility, gives customers the run around, and makes a complete mess of even the simplest tasks. I had to cover the costs of replacement shipments, deal with lost time and frustrated clients, and got zero accountability or compensation.
If you value your shipments, your business, or your sanity, avoid DHL Ireland at all costs. Completely unreliable, dishonest, and not worth the risk.

They confiscated a packet I sent to my family in Peru

I sent a packet to my family In Peru from Ireland. The packet was retained and they have ignored my family's attempts to have the packet released. It looks like they will keep to packet which contained toys for my daughter. A disgrace of a company. I also received no response from the Irish branch. They said the packet must pass through customs, which makes no sense since the items are personal belongings and are not to be resold. When we tried to have the packet returned, they won't reply. Beware, a poorly managed company with no customer service.

No show again

This is the second consecutive time
I've ordered from B&Q and waited around all day having got notice from DHL that the item would be delivered ... and days later still nothing. The queries online seem to assume I'm living in the UK and pages aren't optimized for mobile. DHL used to mean quality, but obviously that was in the 1980's ...

Worthless, incompetent, and forge signatures as a matter of course

Every single time I order something and it's being shipped with DHL I am filled with dread because I know I'm going to spend hours of my life chasing down my package because it's invariably been delivered to the wrong address (if it was even delivered at all).

I've had about seven or eight deliveries with DHL. One went correctly. Every other one has been a bloody disaster, including but not limited to: the driver forgetting to actually bring the package with him, giving my package to a business that was on a different street to my address (which is residential, not a business), and whose employees told him that they had no idea who I was, and, of course, (badly) forging my signature (multiple times!) so they could sign it as delivered.

If you're ordering something and you notice the company uses DHL, do them a favour and let them know how unreliable they are so they can switch to someone better.

If the drivers are going to fake my signature for the proof of delivery they could at least pretend to write something that looks like my name. But really, I think it would be easier if they just delivered the damn thing for once, as a novelty for the both of us.

DHL Letterkenny - Beware

DHL Letterkenny . Suspicious 🤨
Male adult driver didn’t attempt to find our house so called our house & spoke my 13 year old daughter instead of me , the client and asked her to meet him in Letterkenny to pick up the parcel . This is not acceptable . She said he was quite pushy & overbearing on the phone & kept making her feel bad as he was going on holiday to Portugal on Thurs and needed her to come to Letterkenny to meet an unknown grown man . Think about it if it were your daughter ?

Incompetents

Incompetents. They just keep sending you back and forth to An Post. They don’t even bother to contact you. Their chatbot is crappy and you dont even have a way of setting it in english unless you actually know German, and even then its making you choose between buttons that actually require actual German knowledge. I had to make a redelivery because of them. It’s been almost a week already. Unless you’re from AND in Germany DON’T USE THEIR SHIPPING SERVICES(🇮🇪)

Drivers consistently push to leave packages in a nearby shop rather than delivering them

Consistently the drivers ring and say they’re leaving my deliveries in a shop in the nearest town rather than delivering to my address. The entire point of a delivery service is to deliver and despite me repeatedly saying (for multiple different packages) that I want them delivered to the address on the package, they keep pushing me to collect them from the shop instead.

Very poor customer notification

Very poor customer notification.
On 13th May, I received a text from DHL that I would receive a B & Q delivery on 14th between 8am and 4pm. I ensured that someone would be present at house to accept delivery. Delivery did not occur.
Problem was with B&Q and dispatch did not occur.
Received a text from DHL on 20th stating that delivery would now occur on 21st. Again ensured that someone would be at house to accept delivery. Guess what - no delivery.
Despite this being an issue with B&Q , I had someone remain at house for two days unnecessarily.

The least DHL should do, when they did not receive the item in their system, is send a text to state that delivery WOULD NOT NOW OCCUR. I would not have wasted 2 days.

Excellent Customer Service

The quality of customer service.
I phoned DHL this morning and spoke with the loveliest lady by the name of Alicia or Lisa. She went out of her way to assist me with an attitude of patience, kindness and good will. She should be in a training position. This is how all of our experiences with customer service should be. Thank you so much Alicia or Alice. An item was delivered but did not…

An item was delivered but did not receive a communication where it was . I reached out to DHL Express Ireland asking where it was . They told me my neighbour had received it . I was grateful for that information but they followed up the next day to make sure I had received the parcel . Impressive human and personal customer service when usually your communication is with an AI bot which can be frustrating. I really appreciated this excellent quality of customer service

Ants & melted contents

DHL express item sent to Saudi from Ireland. Temperature sensitive package yet the package was hot when I received it. I opened the package in my kitchen immediately I and it was full of ants, nevermind all the melted contents from the heat and the contents had to be thrown out.

Can't get hold of them

Non-delivery of part of B&Q order. Promised for yesterday and received numerous texts to confirm. Then nothing. Apparently B&Q use a particular service from DHL which means they use your B&Q order not a tracking number so there is no way to input your details on the DHL website to trace. And now can't speak to anybody in the Limerick depot after ringing more than 12 times. Waiting 2 days now. Not the first issue I've had with DHL. Avoid at all costs. I'm now going to avoid shopping online with any company who uses DHL. Just not worth the hassle. The only star I can give is for the politeness of the people I have actually spoken to along the way.

If I could give -1

If I could give -1 , I would. Atrocious service. Parcel got stuck in Heathrow, no follow up from them. 70 euro shipment fee to arrive by 12 noon to London. They don’t give proper instructions or options on how to ship the parcel either.
I had to select return and repair. Don’t know what this even means.
I only wanted to have an option to select return. I was returning a dress to London.
Driver that collected my shipment wasn’t even a DHL driver. He was a local courier. Shambles. Dress stuck in Heathrow because DHL stupid return and repair category automatically says they need more checks for this category..did DHL warn of that when I was filling in their stupid online form? NO!!!
Don’t go there!!! Use your local post office.
No manager call back either despite being promised one.
Got an email from a guy calling himself a manager saying “attached our terms and conditions”
Can you believe that after I paid 70 euro to ship this using their so called courier co
