Ripping you off on the duty.

After 3 days of proving the cost of a shipment from Japan, they had the invoice papered to the box! I had to screen shot transaction pages on both the host site and my paypal account. Total amount was 136.78 including shipping. Had to pay 78.46 in dutys and their tariff because they valued the shipment at 278.80. They are ripping us off after we choose to use them in the first place. Never again. Avoid.

I was attending a funeral in Newbridge…

I was attending a funeral in Newbridge today. I was heart warmed to see a DHL driver take the time to get out of the van (safely because he was at a red light) to show his respect, he blessed himself as the funeral car passed. I thought this was so rare in these times that it deserved a review.

DHL Express

DHL Express, parcel from Ireland to USA in 5 days. Quite expensive, but they get the job done, like always. Never had any problems with them when it comes to delivery, my personal favourite courier company. When I need to trust someone with my parcel, I pick them. Not only in Ireland!

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible, I paid for express delivery, €16, for the past two days it’s been “out for delivery”, should arrive before six and now is marked as delivered when I haven’t received it. By the time I got the email, at 17.59, that my package was “delivered” their customer service was closed. With a package containing around €70 worth of goods just horrendous.

€130 Absolute Con - Like a Scam Company

I left work equipment in the UK and had to get it back to Ireland urgently for a job. A small package, weighed only 3kg. It cost me €130 to get it back (1/4 of the value of the equipment). My cousin had it, and worked from home that day to make sure to be in. He was told before 4 pm. They arrived but didn't ring the doorbell or call him. He found a DHL form posted through the letter box, with nothing written on it. A black form. He showed me the CCTV, the driver did not wait for one minute. Absolute scum bags.

Horrific experience - DHL Ireland

Horrific experience. I submitted a urgent request for pick-up and delivery (Ireland to South Africa) on 16 January 2025, with a pick-up date of 17 January 2025 (10am - 12pm pick up). Heard nothing from DHL for the whole day 17 January 2025. My husband phoned them several times and was told the driver was delayed, the driver was no longer coming and that a Manager would reach out on Monday, 20 January 2025. Heard nothing on Monday morning and my husband phoned them again. He was then informed the pick-up would happen between 10am-12pm on 20 January 2025.

It is now after 1pm and we have not heard anything. I paid over 100 Euro for this service and this is absolutely appalling. I do not recommend DHL Ireland at all!!!

Ordered from the UK on the 23.12.24…

Ordered from the UK on the 23.12.24 package was handed to DHL on the 27th arrived in ireland on the 6th and still hasn't been delivered can't get through just keep sending back a automatic mail what a joke of a delivery company I will be checking next time before buying if DHL are delivering I'll get it somewhere else

They just don't care

I paid around 30 euro to have an amp delivered to me the next day cause I had a gig that night, and my other amp had just blown. I waited in all day. Went down every few minutes or so to make sure the big gate was open, and I can hear if the gate is being closed anyway, but I kept checking anyway cause I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this amp. Out of nowhere I get an email saying that DHL tried to deliver but got no answer from my house. I thought, hang on there has to be a mistake, so I look out my balcony, no DHL van in sight all the way up and down the hill, so I thought maybe he's pulled in. I ran down, nobody in sight, so I called customer care straight away. I first got a lady, explained what happened, she said she would call him, and put me on hold. Less than a minute later the line cut off. She must have hung up on me. I called straight back, and got a young fella this time. Explained what happened. He said he would call him, and put me on hold. When he came back on after a couple of minutes he said that the delivery driver said that the gate was closed, so he couldn't get into my door, I explained that the gate was wide open, and had been all day cause I made sure of it, and explained I'd hear it being closed anyway, and he interrupted me as I was speaking with a very uninterested tone, and said "the delivery driver has so graciously said that you can have his number to give him a call, and he will drop it to you on the way to his son's football match" I said that's the very least I'd expect paying 30 quid for a delivery and getting all this crap having to chase down my package and having people lying to me, and he actually sighed on the phone, so I said to him, judging by this service by the customer care is there any point in putting in a complaint, and he laughed and said in a very annoying tone "you have a lovely day now take care" and he hung up on me. I emailed DHL to tell them this, and that I wont be using them to deliver anything to me again, and I emailed the company that I bought from as well and told them if DHL are the only option I regretfully will not be ordering from them again. Anyone with similar complaints need to complain with their pocket, and hit them where it hurts until they cop on. We don't need them. They need us! There's a lot more detail to this story but I'd be here all day haha hope this review helps. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Very irresponsible company, one big piece of crap, my order should have been delivered within 4-5 business days, I've been waiting for 3 weeks because it's still in the sorting room, and when I try to contact them, there's no response.

Email to state delivery would arrive on…

Email to state delivery would arrive on Friday before 6pm. Waited in and no delivery. Online chat with a useless bot which eventually directed me to talk with a customer service agent. CSA Not available until Monday 8:30am. No communication, nobody to discuss with, no approx time of delivery like every other courier can give. Email today Monday stating delivery would be today before 6pm. Useless company, useless customer service, had similar experience before to the extent that I would not purchase items from sellers if they used DHL. Should be no star. Crap Service, my advice is avoid at all cost

They always claim I wasn’t home to…

They always claim I wasn’t home to receive my delivery, even though I work from home. Today, I selected the “no signature required” option, yet they still said I wasn’t home. They could have just left it at the front door. The truth is that they don’t even try to deliver.
