It’s regrettable that I find myself…

It’s regrettable that I find myself writing this review of Diamond Resorts but what they have put my wife and I through has been dreadful. We were swindled on our Honeymoon in Las Vegas to attend a sales presentation after being offered a Helicopter ride. One of the Diamond sales reps Patrick Acton met with us and lied to us to influence to buy a Diamond Resort timeshare. They lied about all the different places that we would be able to vacation at around the country and even Mexico. We come to find out it’s all non-sense. They lied to us and told us that a benefit of owning a Diamond Resorts timeshare would be VIP status at Disney resorts and theme parks. Despite multiple attempts, we haven’t been able to book a single vacation through Diamond Resorts due to the lack of availability! Everything they presented to us was just to get us trapped to their timeshare contract. You won’t get anything in return for thousands of dollars that you pay them. When you sign up with them, they purposely skim over the terms, conditions, and financial information! It’s the biggest scam in Las Vegas. It’s false promises, high pressure, and unfair financing. Diamond Resorts is getting away with robbery! Do yourself a favor and don’t make the mistake of getting involved with Diamond Resorts timeshare, they’re a crooked company!!!

Buyer Beware

The staff at Diamond Resorts have the tendency to leave out crucial information that could allow you to make an informed decision. We signed up not being informed about the never-ending fees and how they will increase every year. They did a wonderful job at making it seem like this purchase would be the best decision of our life. Unfortunately, this was all a lie! All the meetings they trapped us in lasted way longer than they had originally said. During one of our meetings with Diamond, we were told that opening a credit card would decrease our monthly bills. I recently discovered that we had an additional timeshare put in our name because of that visit. This is not what I signed up for and this is another example of how the staff plays games with how things are communicated in the sales pitch. The Diamond sales staff are manipulative and well versed on how to twist words to make a sale. Be VERY careful when dealing with them!!

Diamond Resorts Scam

Diamond resorts scammed us big time! When my daughter and I had agreed to purchase, after the ridiculous amount of pressure they were applying, they were going over what I needed to say to the person who was helping me sign. They told me to tell them I was single, which I am not. I felt that this was a fraud but our salesperson, Ms. Jones, claimed this was normal and this happens regularly. Later we discovered that our contract did not include a Truth in Lending Act page. We also learned that there was a perpetuity clause that was not disclosed to us during the presentation, along with many other lies. We trusted these "professionals" to tell us the truth, but we were wrong. We regret putting any trust into this company.

We wrote to Diamond Resorts regarding our timeshare and how we were fed false information by the salespeople so they could steal our money, but they still have not let us out of our contract. In fact, I just got a letter in the mail saying that they tried to debit money from my account, which they DO NOT have permission to do.

“Fraudulent” is the first word that…

“Fraudulent” is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Diamond Resorts. I’ve had experience with them since 2014 and I still can’t say a single good thing over 8 years. Their employees are so unprofessional. When I signed my contract, their closer came in and swung his feet on to the desk, ate candy, and badmouthed other customers. Originally, I purchased 4,000 points but was told by a salesperson that I was “foolish” for buying them. That was supposedly the reason we were having trouble getting reservations. I have been absolutely disgusted with the behavior of their employees. I should have walked away as soon as the first person irked me.

Disappointing and Frustrating

Our entire experience with this company has been terrible! We recently wrote to Diamond Resorts trying to explain our frustration with them and to ask them to release us from our contract. They answered, declining to take responsibility for any of what I had told them I experienced. May I add, this seemed like a very canned response, almost as if they copied and pasted everything. They said they usually tell people to put aside a couple hours for the meeting. I had explained to them that they told us it will be an hour and it ended up lasting 8 hours. That is not a couple hours!! When we told them that the salespeople claimed it was an investment and we can make money off it in the long run, they claimed we misunderstood, and it would be an investment in the sense we would be able to travel more. Funny, as there is no availability so we cannot travel even with them at all. I had told them I am requesting that all communication be in writing only. However, they recommended we speak on the phone so they can have a full understanding and how I can assist them in working towards an appropriate solution. The ONLY appropriate solution I will accept is canceling my contract, which they had refused to do! Seeing some of these BBB reviews, I can unfortunately see that this is a common thing. They lie to everyone and are NEVER held responsible!

Diamond Resorts is the absolute worst

Diamond Resorts is the absolute worst! My experience with this company has been a never-ending headache from the start! It all began with their timeshare sales meeting, which is practically a hostage situation, where they told us a ton of lies and pressured us into getting sucked into their timeshare scheme. The staff was very aggressive, and they made their timeshares out to be “investments”. They told us if we bought a timeshare, we’d make profit from renting it out. Despite all their promises this has yet to come to fruition. They told me I would have access to thousands of properties in their network but that too has proven to be a lie. I’ve spent hours on the phone with them and NEVER have success in finding anything available. The timeshare is useless, you’re better off booking a hotel on a regular website instead of getting trapped into their timeshares. I should have known better when every time I refused an offer, they would drastically lower the price and sweeten the deal. It’s all a scam! The sales staff told me to lie about my income so that I would be approved for their loan and get a better interest rate!!! That goes to show what sort of company Diamond is…asking people to lie!!! There is absolutely no value in Diamond timeshares. I can’t believe they get away with what they are doing. Nothing about their timeshares makes sense, the fees increase, and you’re expected to pay them yet there is never any availability. The financial burden of their garbage timeshare has left me in a bad position both financially and mentally. I have asked them to void my timeshare and told them everything they’ve done to me and all I got was a series of snarky emails and a letter giving me the run around and no solutions! I suspect that their Senior Resolutions Team is just a sham group of Diamond staff that are going to harass me to upgrade. Look at what others are saying. They are getting away with fraud!

T&C's not disclosed at purchase

Purchased a package with the salesperson claiming to be part of the Hilton family. After receiving the confirmation email and terms and conditions I decided this wasn't right for me. Called to cancel and get a refund and was told I would hear from the finance dept in 72 hours for my refund. After 72 hours there was no response so I followed up. I was told that there was a "no-refund" policy and that this was disclosed in the T&C's of the offer...........I agree that it was however you don't see the T&C's until after providing your credit card info and being charged. Total scam, stay away from this company.

Operational Incompetence

WAY too many negative experiences to write them all out, but here are the bullet points:

1. Sales rep made promises the company won't live up to.
2. Endless hold times on the phone just to find out I'm in the wrong place and need to be transferred again.
3. Road block after road block in trying to get any issue resolved.
4. A complete SHAM 'Consumer Advocacy' Group where you can send an e-mail with your issues - but the e-mails come back 'Undeliverable'.
5. Zero follow up from the 'Customer Care' representatives that are supposed to be there to help.
6. No way out.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. It will save you lots of time, money, and frustration.

Just Stop Lying

Lies…Deception…Outright manipulation…this suits Diamond resorts perfectly, because Diamond resorts is a company filled with compulsive liars, with sales agents lying to pregnant women and hard-working families. My pregnant wife and I sat through a sales presentation and declined every single offer the salespeople presented to us. WE WERENT INTERESTED IN PURCHASING! I can’t be clearer than that, we declined offer after offer, but they wouldn’t take NO as an answer, they would offer more incentive and lower the price, what they trapped us with was DISNEYLAND! The salespeople sold us on saying we would have access to Disney Resorts, cruises, or theme parks so of course we were interested as that was the main reason we purchased this worthless timeshare, later we found out that was not true at all, being owners of the timeshare gives us no access to Disney, or even discounted tickets!

Hilton Grand Vacations/ Diamond Resorts…

Hilton Grand Vacations/ Diamond Resorts are untrustworthy and prey on ill-informed timeshare guests. My wife and I were approached by a sales agent offering all sorts of discounts in return if we were to listen to a 1-hour-presentation. It lasted way longer than they stated. They made us believe that with $1,000 deposit we would be owners of a timeshare, and this would be a great investment that would only increase in value. The lies continued saying that our kids would inherit this, yet they failed to mention that they would be responsible for all the fees attached to the time share. When we tried to use the time share there was never availability and when there was it was within time frames that you couldn’t use or wouldn’t want (think Scottsdale, AZ in July). They push and pressure you into even more sales pitches while making us feel ignorant and stupid if we didn’t purchase more. They are very demeaning and full of lies.

DON'T DO IT

I am writing this review because I feel that the truth needs to be known about owning a timeshare with Diamond. It is a battle in trying to get your membership canceled with them. They will use any type of tactic to get you to come listen to whatever “new updates” they have just to try to sell you on more. The fact that you have representatives feeding you this so called dream investment and writing everything down on a scrap piece of paper to show you how easy everything is going to work. They keep you hostage and pressure you for hours. They will ask you things like how you want to vacation or why you are wanting to vacation so that they will use it to their advantage. We thought it would be a good idea to have to come together as friends and vacation. They stated that they had many ways to take advantage of all of our points including a program Destination Exchange. It is extremely hard to use and it does not work with just points but you have to be in a certain tier as well. You will have to pay extra fees to even utilize it. That is absurd considering the amount of money that you pay for the timeshare to begin with. They will make it sound like such a wonderful investment and that you will be saving so much money by investing in them. Honestly all you are doing is throwing your money in the trash. We honestly have tried to understand and make of the best of this timeshare but the lies and distrust have grown to such an extent that we realize that is all there is. They continue to press on the matter that we were in the wrong and that there was no fault done during the sell of our timeshare. Yet they were not present for what was said to us before we signed our paperwork. They stand behind the liars that day in day out that steal peoples’ money by selling the fake dream vacations. I would not want to wish this nightmare on our children, which is why we will continue to fight against all the dishonesty that Diamond allows its representatives to get away with. They cannot be trusted at all. If it sounds too good to be true, then its best just to walk away. I hope that in writing this I can help someone else from falling into the hands of these deceitful and crooked people.

Diamond Experience

When Diamond Resorts took over Club Navigo, all my problems began. The amount they charged me was far more than if I had just paid for an entire vacation myself. When they contacted me and offered a 3-day/4-night vacation, I was put up in a run-of-the-mill MOTEL, not the fancy resorts that are advertised. The presentation I was required to attend was not “quick” as described, as it lasted about 8 hours. Once I was coerced into a Diamond contract, I found that making reservations was an absolute nightmare. Only inconvenient times are available- if you can get a booking at all. Then finally when on vacation, I was harassed into more presentations with salespeople telling me that I need to upgrade. I feel like a fugitive trying to dodge salespeople on my VACATION that I am completely over paying for.

Scammed by Diamond and Hilton. Please beware.

Two years ago we brought a timeshare with Diamond Resorts. The same weekend Covid struck. We were told we needed to do a new member presentation. This would tell us how to work the program. Two years later after Covid we signed up for the presentation. We got there only to get a shake down from a Hilton representative telling us they brought Diamond. The deal was give them an additional 26K and we could get their upgraded timeshare. To date we have done ZERO travel with Diamond. We were also informed we lost our points. Where we scammed?
