Too expensive
This was ok before, but now it’s too expensive regarding the other sites and at the checkout has a service fee to pay. And anything that you want to add to your tickets it will be applied for every person who you are travelling with. For example if you want to add Flexy for £20 and you’re travelling with another four family members, and the ticket price is already £162,at the checkout you have to pay £162+(£20x5)+ £5 (the service fee). Total £267.
Flexi (or other service) should be applicable for car,not for person. And if you you’re money back, because you booked by mistake another date, and you didn’t pay other more £10 per person for Standard at least, not Economy, you’ll not get the refund. I saw the prices and I changed my mind and I bought the tickets from P&O,but I choose by mistake a wrong date. I cancelled the ticket and I received the full refund. And I bought the ticket as guest, without creating any account with them. Thinking that I downloaded Direct Ferries app more than 10-12 years ago. It is only my opinion. So if I should add the Standard for 5 person I should pay £267+£50=£317,00
In the end I bought the ticket but without adding anything because of app convenience and to not starting again as guest all steps, because we became too lazy and it is time waisted. I paid the service fee,but my opinion is that Direct Ferries is very expensive. And I’m now come back to edit my feedback, because of your email. I explained that you have more fees and I should pay at least for Standard, for each person if I want to cancel it,for example. I could type by mistake a wrong date and time departure, exactly how it was happened to me when I didn’t realised that I should book for one way ticket and whe I saw, changed it,but the date changed automatically for the next day, precisely for 10/07/2026,not for 18th,how I set it at the beginning, and I noticed that when I received the email confirmation with the invoice. And I cancelled it and straight away I received the email confirmation with the cancellation and refund for free,no fees. I’m talking about P&O. And I haven’t pay anything,Standard or Flexy. I bought the economy one. Did I make myself clear now???

I'm a fairly frequent user of ferries…
I'm a fairly frequent user of ferries between Cairnryan and Larne or Belfast and occasionally Dublin to Holyhead. Always easy to book and so much nicer way to travel.
